In this day and age, it's very hard finding a property. We've previously wasted our time with a property where the sellers weren't interested in closing the deal and the agents weren't at all proactive.
Austin aren't like that at all. They were very transparent from the beginning and when the sale process was stalling due to solicitors being slow, Austin were constantly enquiring which helped us move the process faster.
They are the go-getters you need in this market and I can't recommend them enough.

I think we've all had negative experiences with estate agents and are cynical about the services they offer. I was no exception. On meeting Sean Austin, I was pleasantly surprised and curious about his claim that Austins were "different". Hmmmm....
I had already met Mark who impressed me with his demeanor and sincerity. So I gave them the go ahead to sell my property.
In the meantime, I looked at lots of different properties until I found "the one"! This was also on market with Austins. As per usual, nothing was straightforward but by sensitive negotiation and knowledgeable marketing of my own property, I am now the proud owner of a fabulous flat.
Throughout the time of my selling and purchasing, Austins did indeed show themselves to be "different". Unfailingly calm and empathetic about the whole process. Each one of the agents knew my situation and were able to answer questions and provide reassurance. Communication was excellent and I was never left wondering. I found the whole team to be highly experienced and skilled in their roles. Not only that, cheerful and welcoming at all times. I felt supported throughout what is always a stressful time and "looked after". Definitely "different"! I can only thank all the team with a special mention for Simon and his negotiating skills, although they all deserve a " special" mention!

Austin Property Services are fantastic. I am my grandmother's executor selling her property. My priorities in picking an agent were honesty, good communication and good service to make it a stress free experience at a difficult time, all of which were spot on. They are very friendly, caring and answer all my questions really quickly via my preferred contact method, which is email. Sean came round to do our valuation and explained the market really clearly and his recommendation for the offer price was spot on. I felt that Sean really had my best interests as his priority and would not under sell the property. He had a lot more experience in the field than the other agents I spoke to and also lives in the local area so knows it very well. Sean launched the property on Tuesday and conducted viewings on Saturday. We recieved and accepted a great offer on the Sunday. Throughout the sale process, Simon has been requesting updates from both converyancers and keeping me very well informed as well as answering all my questions very promptly. I don't live locally but this was no problem, as they were really helpful in arranging things that needed doing, such as the energy certificate, and giving the buyer access for things they needed to do. A swift and efficient process. I chose the flat fee option. There was lots of collaboration regarding the property description and the finished result did it justice. I found the online communication very responsive. Leaflets were prepared in order for me to give viewers at the viewing and appopintments were made for the Saturday by the agency. Viewers were asked to mask up and sanitise and I found this reassuring particularly as we had been shielding since Feb 2020. Offers were presented and the sale agreed upon on the Monday. Exactly 6 months ago to the day I started the process of choosing an estate agent to sell my property.
With no prior knowledge or experience with local agents I asked around and soon had 4 different agents I wanted to meet and hear their take on selling my property.
Having studied the psychology of colours and logos I noticed that 2 of the companies I had chosen to speak to had red and white logos and signs, the 3rd. had black and white and Austin's had yellow, black and white, which in some way seemed different and it stood out in the crowd.
I then read their respective reviews on the internet which gave me an insight into all 4 agents and it was very useful to read about other peoples experiences.
After meeting all 4 agents I made my choice. (the agent with the black sign was actually quite rude when I told him I had chosen another agent.)
I fell for the authentic and professional way Sean from Austin’s Estate Agents presented the company and their sales plans. I was then looking forward to communicating with the rest of the team to see if they had the same engagement and authenticity. After speaking to Mark, Mike and Simon I realised that these guys were the real deal and were going to pull out all the stops to get a sale in the bag.
During the whole 6 months from start to finish I never once doubted Austin’s ability to sell my property. The professional way they navigated through the sales processes, viewings and offers was amazing, even in the middle of a pandemic, it was business as usual.
After around 19 viewings the property sold, but later fell through as the lower chain had backed out. Undaunted Mike put the property back on the market just after New Year and it sold again the next day after 5 viewings and 2 offers.
Now looking back on a professional, and engaging process which ended well in all aspects, I am happy to be able to say I made the best possible choice and can fully recommend Austin’s Estate Agents.
For me they ticked all the boxes and are "the real deal."

The team at Austin Property Services worked very hard for us during the Covid 19 lockdown, frequently chasing estate agents and solicitors up and down the chain.
At times they seemed to be the only one of the “professionals” who cared about our sale and purchase - even though the purchase was not their responsibility. In fact I know that other house owners in the chain contacted Austin’s because their own estate agents were not actively pushing for Exchange and Completion.

Superb ! We have used a variety of estate agents in our time, but none have measured up to the excellent service received from Austin's in Weymouth. We put our property up for sale with Austin's after a very informative meeting with Sean and had two competing offers quite quickly. The transaction stalled slightly (as often happens) but Austin's professionalism smoothed things over to achieve a successful sale. Our experience goes to show that a local agent with knowledge of the area is vital when dealing with property, we believe an internet based agent could not have provided the human interface to coax the deal along. We were informed by 'phone and email at every stage of the sale, and all of our questions/concerns were answered very quickly. If you are looking for an estate agent that gives an excellent tailor-made service check out Austin Property Services, Weymouth. I have recently sold and bought a property through Austins and cannot fault them.
They are an agency that takes the time to listen to your needs/wishes when selling and gives options that are clearly explained. Throughout the whole process they will give feedback and their professional opinion - but will respect and go with whatever you as the seller decides.
In buying a home through Austins I found them to be upfront and informative of the background to the sale, any issues etc. They were accommodating and helpful.
All of the team were both professional and friendly... and it was a relief to find an estate agent that could be trusted.

The Experience I had selling my property and buying a property through Austin’s was a very friendly and smooth transition. They delivered exactly what they said they would from the start. Sold my house quickly at a good price. It took more time to buy due to difficult sellers who waste everyone’s time not naming any names but a house on Dorchester road(but every cloud and all that)
The patients of these guys go way past my tipping point. Mark was absolutely fantastic throughout and allways in contact with updates. They are a great team all together and I felt they, (especially mark) were honest from the start with the whole procedure. In the end I got a bigger and better house for a better price and me and my family can’t be happier. Well done Austin’s. Would Reccomend to anyone.

We found this estate agent quite by chance. In April I was looking for directions to a care home. Simon asked if we were then going to sell Mums house and I said , not until next Spring. He gave me a card and told me that they had sold nine houses in Mums area just lately. Ha ha I thought! Later I saw at least seven ‘Austins, Sold’ notices near to Mums house.
Simon stayed loosely in touch, and when the time was right for us we put Mums house in their hands. No! We placed ourselves in their hands! Simon and the rest of the staff were so very helpful. Their caring attitude made the whole business of emptying and selling the family home of 60 or more years so much better than we had hoped. We have several friends who have had, or are still having, the most traumatic time with other estate agents.
Now, the house is sold and we no longer agree with those ‘estate agent haters’. They just haven’t been to the right one. We cannot praise them enough. They deserve a bouquet.
