Waste of time miss sold auction as not explained then tell me it's the auction house not them but signed with them confusing and very arrogant I ended up doing the showing as they could not be bothered also waiting for showing did not tell me they had canceled and on way home as I'm awaiting for them to come had to phone office to see if it was still going on waste of time

Wow .. what can I say, I only rang connells for a bit of advice on buying a property as a first time buyer, Anthony the mortage advisor asked me to pop in for a chat , he stayed super late for us as we finish work late, he went through all the details with us and managed to get us a Mortgage approved with in 12 days!!! Anthony also set up all of our insurances and got us in touch with the solicitors who also got the ball moving very quickly. We was in our new home with in 8 weeks all thanks to Anthony and the team at connells and couldn't recommend them enough, they check up on you during the progress and have same day answers for Any chasing ... thank you again for making this a stress free progress :)

We've been let down by these agents, the Property Ombudsman decided in our favour now. I guess when things go wrong it exposes what really is in people.
After 5 months from accepted offer and being pulled about by the agent Ms Cross and her friend (the seller) to believe we're buying the flat and taking over the holiday let business, the seller changed her mind! Apart of the upset this caused, we incurred financial losses, searches, everything was done.
The seller and Ms Cross both became hostile the minute this happened, but I asked a question about the money we spent. Ms Cross said we'll get it back 'as it's not our fault'.
When I sent her an email to kindly proceed with getting the money back as she said, she never replied.
It was an added insult so we complained. To our shock we learned that Ms Cross and her friend the seller infringed my private emails which is illegal and forwarded them to the head office. It was the agent's job to remain fair and impartial to both sides, I'm speechless about the unprofessional, sly manner she's acted.
When this didn't work, the agents made up incredibly detailed lies how a 'member of their team Anthony called us, was sympathetic....'. Not only the content of the made-up call is a lie but they've never made this call, which was easy to prove.
They are proven liars, therefore not suitable to do business with, they could work for Mr Johnson.
Response to Connells dated comment : Time to get off your high horse, the TPO concluded you've not acted within your obligation. Why did you make up all the lies, when you claim to have done everything right?

After 12 years doing business with the same independent mortgage broker, I decided to switch to Connells mortgages. I am very impressed with Anthony Calleja from the Weymouth branch, his knowledge and passion around mortgages shone through immediately when I had my initial consultation with him. He is dedicated, on the ball and really does take the time to explain things in great simple detail.
Thank you for what your doing Anthony, keep up the passion.
Update: 2nd October 22 ...Anthony has done it again, we left our residential mortgage late and panicked, through his hard work and working late he has gone over and beyond to secure us a new product and an Agreement in Principle . I am an investors in Bristol looking for a property in Weymouth. I have dealt with a lot of estate agents in the past and had both good and bad experiences. But I would like to say I have never come across a more professional, honest and easy to talk to estate agents than Clare Cross and Paul Barron. My husband and I bought our first property through Connels and dealt mainly with Clare Cross. Overall it was extremely slow process (7 months, 3 parties in the chain! ) but this was not the fault of Connels. Clare was very responsive to queries and gave a very professional yet personalised service. She tried to get things moving quicker when she was able to which we were very grateful for!
We have no plans to move again, but wouldn't hesitate to use connels or recommend them to other people.
