Hi all. I just wanted to post a warning to #Landlords about using #Austwick #Berry as #PropertyManagementAgents for rental properties. They let a pristine newly decorated flat to a tenant 4 years ago and I got back a hovel that required decorating throughout, new oven, extractor, shower cubicle etc etc because they had allowed it to get so disgusting that the mould, limescale, dirt, bodyfat etc had eaten into the fixtures and/or would not come off. They carried out only 3 six monthly checks in 4 years. These reports stated "consistent with use" under standard of housekeeping so I didn't look into or question if this was actually the case. I attached acouple of photos I took post-tenant of their opinion of "consistent with use" ???? They also do not report to you things that need fixing - apparently you have to "read the report" to find out for yourself. I have learned my lesson that sitting back and expecting the letting agency #austwick #berry to fulful their contractual duties was stupidity on my part but hey-ho - I trusted #austwick #berry to do the job they were paid to do without me checking up on them every 5 minutes - that's the point of paying them surely? If you look at the photo's bare in mind that 4 years ago there was not one iota of black mould/rust/discolouration of any sort, anywhere. In the agents words 4 years ago - it looks a million dollars.... Read more
