I tried to purchase a house in the past but I wasn't unable to, due to mortgage broker not being able to get me the funds I needed from the lender due to being employed on zero hours contract but luckily a family member who recently purchased a house using services from Bridgfords Sales and Letting Agents Buxton recommended Mortgage consultant "Kyle Burns" to me and that was the best recommendation ever because I have now purchased my first house thanks to Kyle.
Kyle is my go-to person when I need help -He outperformed all other mortgage brokers. Kyle goes above and beyond. he is very friendly, supportive, professional and his knowledge is second to none. He really made the whole experience easy and stress free. He managed to find me a great mortgage deal. I would recommend Kyle to anyone wanting to buy their home. If you are reading this Kyle. We brought and sold via Bridgefords Buxton in 2022. The land registry and both sets of solicitors left a lot to be desired, constantly using Covid backlog as an excuse for their lack of efficiency. I certainly wouldn’t be offering them a 5 star review but to say that, despite all of that I can still give the estate agent a 5 star review during what was likely the most stressful time of our lives is evidence of what a good job they (Judy) did.
I’ve dealt with estate agents in the past and seen how they can be only interested when their commission was at risk. Judy was amazing throughout, nothing was too much trouble, communication was excellent and if it hadn’t have been for Judy we would have walked away from the transaction, during at least one of the land reg/solicitor setbacks. We’re now settled into our new home and can’t be thankful enough.

I have just bought my first house through Bridgfords and I can't recomend them enough! Judy was so helpful and very suportive, she did everything she could to make the process as smooth and easy for me as she could. Bridgfords is a great estate agents and they even got me in contact with their in-house mortgage advisor who works for Countrywide.
Kyle helped me get the best deal on my mortgage and their fee lasts you for your entire lifetime, I look forward to dealing with him again in the future. Kyle also helped me get a solicitor which took away a lot of the stress for me.
Bridgfords and Kyle at Countrywide were the best decision I've ever made! It was so nice to have people looking after my purchase that were just as enthusiastic and pasionate about getting me the house as I was.

We wish we'd never heard of Bridgfords. We had the misfortune to get involved with their Buxton Derbyshire office. Throughout the process we were lied to, delayed and manipulated for the benefit of the chain they were trying to manage. We were at the top of the chain and had no need to be involved but they did everything possible to manipulate the process in their favour so their chain came through regardless of our timings and requirements. Deadlines were missed, the for sale board went up weeks late (in fact it went up after the sale had been agreed) they missed the August bank holiday weekend marketing on Rightmove and then went on and published wrong information on Roghtmove despite us pointing out the mistakes beforehand. We made a formal complaint through their 'independent' complaints process which was a total waste of time. All they did was ask the agency manager and totally ignored what we said. In fact their response was ad verbatim what their branch manager had pretty said to us already. Shockingly poor customer service which made the process of selling our house very stressful. AVOID if you value your health and sanity. We're still fighting with them 6 months after selling,

I am so pleased that we went with Bridgfords to sell our house.
John, Judy and Abi were excellent throughout. They were able to market the house in the right way, even going so far as to contact previous clients.They were able to give me sound advice on the various bids that were made for the house. Throughout the process, they spotted potential problems and helped me deal with them.
It is very tempting to think that your house will sell itself and you simply need to put it on one of the generic estate agency websites.
It is my firmly held opinion that it is worth paying the extra to get a proper, professional service.

we have spent 6 months looking for a house (waiting to complete on our complicated sale) Abbie was one of the first agents we signed up with, she took down all our details and what we were looking for and was brilliant at giving us a ring when she thought something we might like came up. She didn't try and convince us to look at things she knew wouldn't work. we signed up with 2 other agents and the service didn't match abbie at all, it was nice to know that she was thinking of us as houses came up. I would definitely recommend bridgefords as a lovely friendly and thoughtful agency.

We have recently sold our home of nearly 10 years and bought a brand new property. We chose Bridgfords after careful consideration because we knew they had an excellent reputation locally and had some previous experience with them. We haven’t been disappointed.
From the outset John who came to do a thorough, honest and accurate valuation, was brilliant. His local knowledge and experience is immense and his advice has time and again been measured and incredibly helpful.
Once we had decided to market with Bridgfords the team came to see our house so they could get a feel for it and help to find buyers that would be happy there. Pretty much before it was even on the market they had a list of buyers that might be interested.
Abbie is a wonderful asset to the office and is so approachable, warm and friendly and was so efficient and helpful, keeping us informed all the way along and setting up viewings. Nothing is too much trouble and both ladies in the office are so thoughtful and proactive and that makes all the difference.
Judy really supported us so much once we had a buyer and used her immense experience and wisdom to help us nevotiate the best price for the home we loved. She understood our frustrations when we had them, bent over backwards to move things forward for us, going out of her way on many occasions to help us get a sale we were happy with, understanding that it wasn’t just bricks and mortar we were selling but our home which we had been so invested in.
The whole team have been absolutely fantastic and have time and again supported us above and beyond what could be reasonably expected. I really cannot praise them enough.
If you are looking for an estate agents that will go the extra mile, this is it. They have helped us find the right buyer for our home who loves it as much as we have and have helped us navigate through a process that can sometimes be difficult, but their professionalism, knowledge and experience have got us all through and everyone is happy and settled now in new homes that we love. We are deeply grateful to everyone at Bridgfords for everything they have done, I’m sure if we’d been with a different estate agent it would have been a much more stressful process.

Having had our property on the market for two years and no sale.We decided to change agents.Having looked online we soon realized that Bridgfords seemed to have the most success with properties in our local area.
We approached Bridgfords in Buxton.John came and did the valuation and said we should be able to achieve a sale in about 4-6 months.(Given it was a small holding with an agricultural building that was previously used as a business )Also they have other branches so our property would be advertised in these.

We switched to Bridgefords after a very poor experience with a local estate agent. From the initial meeting to the completion date(s) John, Judy and Abbey were always there making sure everything went ahead as planned.
Prior to marketing Judy and Abbey visited the property to view for themselves so they could talk from experience when talking to prospective buyers.
When we hit a problem at the bottom of the chain, Judy stepped in and helped rescue the situation enabling the sale to proceed at a slightly later date, but most importantly we were in for Christmas!
The quality of viewers were all 1st rate, each viewer were what we would class as viable, either on the market or under offer, in the end we had 3 prospective buyers. This was very different to the previous estate agents we used, great deal of "House Viewing Tourists"!
It is the attention to the detail, fantastic communication and calm heads when things don't quite go to plan that makes the Bridgfords team in Buxton stand out.

Honestly couldn't ask for any better. I do believe that we sold at a good time, but from the moment John came into our house to value I could tell that we were dealing with agents who went the extra mile. Not only did he give us the best valuation (in our opinion) he really went to the effort of 'selling' Bridgfords to us, backing up their performance with stats and insights. All other agents we had round simply valued then left - lazy.
From the second we put the house on the market with Bridgfords they had people lined up to view it and I'm delighted to say that we had competing offers within days of going on the market and we'd agreed a sale at the asking within 4 days! All in, from going on the market to completing and moving out was 10 weeks, as I say, you can't ask for better than that. The whole team in Buxton were friendly, helpful and great at communicating with us throughout the process.
A big thanks to John and his team, I can't recommend them highly enough!

Unfortunately I cannot report a good service, my experience of Bridgfords Buxton has been very different. Rude staff who simply do not contact you when they say they will. I have had to chase everything from them, and still do not have the paperwork. I would not use them to sell my house.

Would recommend the team at Bridgefords without hesitation. They were friendly, professional and always there when we needed them, nothing was too much trouble and they even helped us put in an offer on the house we were buying which is nothing to do with them! We needed a fast sale and they were able to achieve that for us, we really felt we got our money's worth and that we were in good hands. Good job guys.

Bridgefords weren't who we finally bought our house off, but I wanted to mention them here as they were extremely helpful in our search. We dealt with Katie Gooding at the Buxton branch who listened to our requirements and immediately understood what it was we were looking for so that she could recommend properties. It is amazing how many estate agents don't listen to what you're requirements are! I can't comment on actually buying or selling, but for the search I would definitely recommend Katie of Bridgefords

We sold are house with Bridgfords in January 2015 after having it up with a local estate agent (John Mellors) for nearly a year with no joy. We contacted Bridgfords as we grew tired and frustrated with the previous estate agent as it was holding us back to immigrating to Australia. From the initial contact to completion the service we received was 5 star plus. The staff at Bridgfords (Judy and Katie) are true professionals and could not do enough for us. They sold are house in 4 days and made are dreams become a reality. Thank You

We secured £645,000 during difficult market conditions in late 2015.
