First time moving, Bridgfords was helpful, communicative and professional. Abi and Claire have been lovely and easy to work with. I would like to thank Abi again for her highly professional service. She kept me informed all through the rental service ensuring I was kept informed of updates. I have just moved in to the rental property for 14 days and found some problems over the property at the first 2 days. Their property management team is dealing with that while there's no repairment yet. Probably the problem of the landlord. I would like to thank Claire & Abi for all their work involving sorting out all the admin in the lead up to moving my 73 year old mother in to retirement accommodation. They effectively acted as the go between, as the flat is managed by a 3rd party company. They went above and beyond and all issues and responses were handled very promptly. This took a lot of pressure off me and my mum and it gives me great confidence knowing any issues we may have in the future will be respectfully and quickly handled. Thanks again.... Read more

Waiting for my payment off bridgefords for over a week, I have moved out off the property and they have taken a payment which I never authorised, and now are saying the payment wont go though for the next few days witch it unacceptable as I have the rent on my new property to go out ,the word irresponsible, comes to mind I need sorting with a faster payment method asap they also took 25 pound for a rent charge for the day when they actually had the keys . please make sure you rent with caution , as I was made to move out after 5 month's and given notice after 3 due to the land lord selling his house this has had a big impact on the quality off life I would not like to see anyone else go though this ,... Weren't bothered about us at all. Called to make a offer for a property we had just viewed no answer. Called the following day, no answer, left a message, this was on a Friday. Monday came thought they might get back us nothing. Called Tues, Weds, Thurs, Fri. No answer, its now Wednesday the following week and still nothing. We are 3 lads around 24 years old so guessing instantly been judge, even though we were polite and fully know in our hearts we would look after any property. Understand its not down to the estate agent but the landlord, however, Its not difficult to be honest instead of leaving us in no mans land. Ive personally lived on my own since 18 and know how to look after somewhere. Wont be bothering to enquire about any property with Bridgfords again, as I fear there is no point and would only lead to more of our time being wasted. Edit: After reading further comments it seems clear they are not bothered about people looking for properties to rent or those already renting properties it seems. Big shame, not everyone can afford a house in the current climate, especially on your own and younger. No justification for making us feel like 2nd rate citizens.... Read more

I have assisted my mother in selling her house. She is elderly and suffers from hearing loss so things haven't been easy for her. We haven't yet sold the house and the COVID-19 situation is making things difficult. I would like to say though that I have been impressed with Bridgfords' service. They have been helpful, communicative and professional. They have gone the extra mile in every single way to tailor the service to our needs. They have also gone a further extra mile in helping my mother with her shopping and communication difficulties at this challenging time. Myself and my husband have just finished the process of letting a property from Bridgfords - From start to finish we dealt with Antonia and she was nothing but brilliant, whether it was dealing with our (excessive!) phone calls or answering our emails straight away. Once we viewed the property she was patient whilst we went through the application form with her there and then, and even when a couple of 'difficult' guests arrived to the group viewing she handled everything cool, calm and collected. In the last year we had 2 barn conversions to sell and knew they could be difficult as such houses are quite niche. However Bridgfords were absolutely fantastic for us, finding the right buyers and negotiating the best prices on our behalf. I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I received from the Stockton Heath branch. I recently contacted the branch to arrange a viewing of a property which I was very keen on. My initial viewing was arranged for the 8th March which was then cancelled because the house was being redecorated. Another viewing was arranged for the 15th March which was cancelled again for the same reason. Rather than booking another viewing, I was informed that they would be in touch to arrange it. I had received no phone call by the following Friday, the 23rd of March and so I thought I would call them. The property was ready and a viewing was arranged for Monday the 25th. The next day, Saturday the 24th of March I received a call telling me that an offer had been accepted and there would be no more viewings! I was also advised that my details had not been stored on the system and that there was no record of any viewings prior to the last one being arranged! I feel cheated and lied to. I believe that the property was earmarked and that the staff there have acted with prejudice. Do not trust this branch! Response to Mark: Hi Mark I recently posted a complain online to which you responded. The details are above: I believe that the staff in this branch have acted with prejudice as I cannot think of any reason why my details were not stored on the system the first time around. It leads me to believe that the property was earmarked for another client and that my viewings were postponed until the preferred client had been to see the property. Why else would my details not be on the system? When I originally called to arrange the first viewing I was told that there wasn’t much interest at this stage and yet before I even get to see the property an offer has been accepted. When I called to complain to the Manager, Alison I was told she would investigate which member of staff it was that had originally arranged the viewing as I couldn’t remember the name although I believe it to be Antonia. Here is the email I received from the Manager. Good morning Bruno I have spoken to my staff at length today, I have checked through the notes on the system and we have no evidence of your initial enquiry for the property which you mentioned. You then called the branch on Friday and spoke to Antonia to arrange a viewing for 10 am on the 25/03/2019 you then called back and spoken to Lynsey to rearrange this time to 2 pm which was then booked into our diary. In the meantime a viewing was booked in for Saturday morning with the applicant wanting to proceed, we then gave the landlord the feedback and he asked us to proceed with the applicant. This is the standard procedure and as we work for the landlord we act on his/her request, the landlord would have been aware of the viewing booked in for yourself as he would have received a message when the viewing was booked on Friday. However, he still confirmed to proceed with the application received on Saturday. Kind regards This email does not confirm anything. In some respect, it’s telling me that I’m a liar!. A member of her staff is obviously withholding information from her or she is choosing to ignore the way I have been treated which gives me no confidence in her ability to manage. Her staff are either poorly trained in how to book an appointment or acting with prejudice. I believe it to be the latter as I’m pretty sure they both know how to book an appointment onto your system as it was done for the last viewing. The fact I am writing this email means I am not prepared to let this lie without a full investigation regardless of whether I have lost the property or not. Every person should be given an equal chance when it comes to putting in an offer for a property especially if they have waited nearly 3 weeks to do so! Regards Bruno Pinheiro... Read more

Letting staff very nice but unfortunately not well informed. I was told on viewing furniture was old Tennant's and would be removed and any thing that needed doing would be done before I moved in,only thing done was the damp patch. Date i Moved in furniture still there sorry its the landlords i was told only thing removed was a sofa told them socket in lounge, bedroom,where broken and light fitting 11 weeks later still not fixed awful service for the amount of money you pay.... I have vacated property on 28/08(bank holiday)dropped keys at the stockton heath agency as per earlier conversation .On 29/08 they have over charged rent(£550) from my account for another month.When i have asked about this they have told that they contacted accounts team they are going to refund me.Its been 8 days and i have chased umpteen times.i have got a call back today saying that their account team has got wrong date of termination in their systems.It may take another 5 days to process this and they are not sure of the exact date.... Horrific letting agency. They magic random charges out of thin air. To compare, our previous letting agents asked for deposit, first months rent and £36pp admin fee. Whereas Bridgfords charged us the deposit, first months rent and well over £500 over signing on charges. £150 of which was for a non-refundable deposit to apply for the house, which was not taken off the actual deposit when we got the house. Needless to say, we are not renewing when are tennancy agreement is due. Again, they summon up another magic charge fo a £250 renewal fee (RIDICULOUS!!!). Absolutely horrendous organisation! I have dealt with the Stockton Heath, Warrington branch and never in my life have I come across such an unorganised, unprofessional outfit. We had to wait two weeks for the main front door key to the apartment block; when I rang and called into the branch neither of the staff members could locate the key including the agent, Steph I believe her name was, who we dealt with. I had to pester the company that manage the properties for a set of keys. On account we could not gain access to the apartment for two weeks we were still obviously paid the rent, the two weeks rent has been requested back, no such luck as they are blaming the actual property landlord! The washing machine is completely broken beyond repair; this has been going on since the start of October and their Manchester branch deals with repairs; I have spoken with Gemma Burke there who is just as incompetent and unprofessional as the Stockton Heath team. No idea what they are doing, had to pester and pester to get anything done. Still waiting for the replacement washing machine with a two year child in home. Do not use this agency!... Read more
