Everyone worked hard to secure our sale and kept us fully informed every step of the way. It always felt like we had a team truly acting on our behalf whilst being entirely honest and realistic.

Our recent move was a big one: we sold our house the day before our third child arrived and were against the clock to find a new family home in a new city and in time for primary school allocations.
Jemma and John understood what we needed as well as what we wanted and, after our first purchase fell through, they pulled out all the stops to find us an alternative property.
We benefited from their local knowledge and contacts and appreciated the relationship they built with us during the process.
On the day of our move, Jemma was available all morning to keep us updated on progress and came to our new home to see us over the threshold.

I chose Burgoyne Estate Agents for lots of reasons, local to where I Live, they know the area where the house I was selling, they have been selling properties for a long time and they are a family business which I believe in. But they really went that extra mile when I gave them the challenge of selling my house and home. They did everything they promised and kept me in the loop and Jemma really took all the stress away from me so that I could carry on my life and left everything to the team.
I really loved the dashboard app that told me everything I needed to know once my sale was progressing and at anytime I wanted I went into the office with no appointment and Jemma, John and Lyn always had time to talk to me, I would definitely use Burgoynes again to handle a house sale and recommend them to everyone! From start to finish, the team at Burgoyne's were excellent. At the inital viewing they clearly knew the property well and showed us around, rather than simply letting us in and allowing us to look around (which was not always the case for us when viewing properties). The communication from then on was excellent, always very responsive either by phone or by e-mail, and they kept us in the loop throughout. This was our first house purchase, and we were very pleased (and pleasantly surpised) by how smooth and stress free it was. We would use Burgoyne's again, and have recommended them to others already.

We had a couple of companies come around to appraise our property for sale or a short term rental. We had Connells and Burgoynes come around and we were both happy to go with Burgoynes. Lyn the owner seemed a lovely down to earth lady. She told us she would be happy to take the property on but to come back one month out from having the property vacant when she would get the ball rolling. I happened to be passing their premises 3 months out and popped in to make sure we were still ok and what the market was like? When I went in Lyn was not there and the staff said they were no longer doing rentals. I straight away went into panic mode!! I asked if I could speak to Lyn, but she was working from home. I was however given her email, which I used that evening just to get her recommendations on someone else who could rent out our property.
Unfortunately i received no response and despite 2 more calls to the office where the staff said they would pass on the message and would email her a reminder she has not had the common curtesy or manners to return my call or answer my email.
Would I use them again?
No, common curtesy costs nothing and when we come to sell or buy a property we shall look elsewhere.

When you engage an estate agent what comes to mind initially is their ability to present and market your house and get the best price for it. The team at Burgoyne's did this for us professionally and with courtesy. But they really came into their own when things got complicated with arranging exchange and completion dates. We would have lost our sale had not the Burgoyne team (and particularly the tenacious Mrs B) gone above and beyond in securing our sale and purchase. It comes to something when an estate agent, who is inevitably acting on behalf of the seller, is so attentive, diligent and responsive as to warrant some of the amazing buyer’s reviews you will read below. My partner and I are first time buyers about to complete on our purchase, and we applaud the professionalism and support provided by Burgoynes.
Our hats go off to Lyn, John and Steph, who through our five-month-long saga of buying a house through a seemingly-apocalyptic pandemic, have guided us and our seller, listened to our (and our seller’s) concerns and led the sale of our seller’s house to us. At no point throughout our journey as first timers did we for a moment lose trust in our seller’s agent, nor did we lose faith that Burgoynes would help us to achieve a successful outcome in buying our dream home. Where are the other agents like this in the property market? A message to other agents: take a leaf out of Burgoynes’ book; a due lesson can be learnt from this humble team. A message for prospective buyers: just pick up the phone and talk to Lyn, John or Steph. They are each super-lovely and super-awesome. Please don't waste your time with those other agents.

We used Burgoynes to sell our home and every member of staff that we dealt with were professional, friendly, and more importantly very knowledgeable. They took their time getting to know us and the house, and the photos they took were fantastic. They were excellent communicators all the way through, and we felt that we were being looked after every step of the way. We were in a chain of 3 houses and only Burgoynes were seeing the process through, finding out information for us all that should have been done by the other estate agents and keeping everything going. We were blow away with the early service as within 12 hours of you putting the property on the market you had lined up 12 viewings for the next day a Saturday. By the end of Saturday you had 5 offers 2 at the asking price and three above, whereupon you asked each of these five to give their financial circumstances with best and final offer by close of play on the Monday and we then accepted one of these and the transaction has now completed much to our satisfaction.

I have recently placed a house for sale with Burgoynes and their professionalism and kindness set them apart from others I have dealt with in the past.
It is very easy to find positives when all goes well and you are in your nice new home but the true test of good service is when things do not go to plan.
For no fault of theirs this sale was fraught with emotional issues and their patience and understanding was unexpected and welcomed.
I would have no concerns at all in recommending them and we will return to them when the house goes back to the market.

Looked at a house for my son with them today, such a refreshing change, no jargon, nice people, Sarah was lovely. Friendly staff on the phone. Sadly the house wasn't for us, but when I am planning to sell my own property I will be sure to give them a go.

We recently purchased a property from Burgoynes, and I have to say what an enjoyable experience it was. None of the usual estate agent jargon, just an honest description of the property, a friendly voice on the phone whenever I needed to speak to someone, no pressure talk during the viewing, and above all a regular update as to how things were progressing from their clients point of view.
Whilst everyone was extremely helpful, I must say a special thank you to Kressida she is a credit to this family owned business.
