James and the team have been nothing short of brilliant. Positive and enthusiastic about the home I loved when other local agents were not and also listening to me about the amount I believed we could achieve rather than pressuring me or steering me towards an easy sale for them (i.e relying on Rightmove or Zoopla to do their job for them). They became friends and counsellors, as well as estate agents (I should know; I am a counsellor!) They kept in touch and me informed at every step of the way and really seemed to delight in my sale, as much as I did. They pointed out the shortcomings of other practices without ever bad-mouthing rival companies, which I appreciated. I have already recommended a friend (whose sale has also been achieved) and would not hesitate to do so in future.

We were first-time buyers, and the agents made our initial experience challenging and difficult. It was very clear that there was a good relationship between them and our seller. So much so, that when concrete issues were raised from our side, we were patronised and almost forced into exchanging as an ultimatum. Our case was dealt with by (what felt like) the whole office, which was very unprofessional and careless. Mixed messages were given throughout and lots of back-tracking. We did not go through with the purchase because of how this case was handled.

I chose them because James had come to our house a couple of over the years to value the house and has always been really friendly and very honest. Not only sis he give me advice on the sale of my property buy one I was purchasing having as well, which was above what he needed to do.
James and David found a buyer quickly and it was the process from offer to completion is where they excelled even more. David outlined the time and and stages and would literally update me every week. He would contact all parties involved. He cut through anything irrelevant and just gave me the info I needed to know. Absolutely fantastic job. And really nice people

Avoid this estate agent like the plague, very rude, will put phone down on you, they will drag any house sale whether buying or selling unnecessarily when you question this they will act like you are in the wrong and very quick to demand excessive fees when due for their less than 1 star service
Please send this review far and wide to avoid anyone else falling into there trap and buy or sell elsewhere.

Never Buy the Insurance which they advice for Rent guarantee.. it is not worth the paper it is written on. As it will be a contract with the EA and Insurers and you will not get any Rent back if the tenants default and go for the claim.

I recently bought a house through Chas R Lowe and found them to be highly organised, proactive and professional throughout the process. Also the staff there were really genuinely friendly. However there was long chain of 6 and some of the agents / solictors were not so proactive as Michelle who was great and she tirelessly kept the chain together and through a difficult job of agreeing a completion date, which was very difficult with securing removals, covid lockdowns and 6 person chain etc. Chas Lowe kept in constant contact with me throughout, ensuring a successful conclusion. I cannot rate them more highly for all their efforts and professionalism and I will definitely be recommending them to family & family.

I have recently bought my house in Barnet and was helped by Anthony and Michelle from Chas R Lowe Estates. Anthony was very charming and helpful when showing me round the property during the initial stages.
Once the proceedings began to take place, the COVID lockdown caused many issues for me in regards to timing and a difficult seller however Michelle was fantastic and really helped the sale to run smoothly and as quickly as possible. She was very professional and offered as much advice as she could as well as going above and beyond the usual services of an Estate Agent to help out the elderly seller. This really shows how much she cares about her clients on both sides of the buying transaction and wanting to help please all parties.

Chas R Lowe took on my property as a share part way through the selling process with another agent. I found them very on the ball, responsive and seemed to know their business. Michelle progressed the sale efficiently and in a timely manner and called me to update rather than me having to chase which was a breath of fresh air after the other agent who did not seem to have an effective sale progressing process - a shame as their initial marketing info was good. One of the residents of North and South Mount has made a number serious allegations against Chas Lowe on the Google Review Website.
As the Directors and Committee Members we are pleased to clarify that at no stage have Chas Lowe withheld the contract or been bullying 'elderly people into paying extortionate amounts for work that they don’t want done'.
Conversely, at the AGM, all works and costs needing to be undertaken were voted upon and agreed. In addition Chas Lowe’s contract was extended with agreement from all those present with the exception of the resident making these complaints who did not attend the AGM.
This particular resident claims to be representing North and South Mount residents. We believe this to be incorrect and that she is only representing her own views which we, as Directors and Committee members, do not share.

I went to see an apartment and had a prebooked appointment with an agent named Roger! I contacted him an hour before to get the house number and re confirm the meeting. He never turned up at the property or did not answer any of my calls! He also did not bother phoning me or responding to my email... so my advice is do not waste your time with them! Pointless, disrespectful and completely unprofessional!
