Staff member was generally rude. All they care about is money. If they're not getting enough money out of the deal then it's not worth their time and they treat you like some third class citizen especially if You're of a different ethnic background. We're educated individuals, we're not stupid as to what you're trying to do along with your blatant attempts at avoiding tax. Glad went elsewhere.... Read more

As a business that is supposedly dealing with people and clients more directly, you would think they would have better mannerisms and understanding in how to talk and deal with people. Sadly that is not the case with them. My partner had not wanted to voice their concerns about the disrespect and delusional attitude received but like other reviews mentioned, it is best to voice concerns so others can stay wary and so I felt collectively it would be a good idea to advise others that if you value your time, your sanity, and your money, business, take it elsewhere. Now there may well be one person within the team that may have a genuine soul, and is trying to earn a living, however our experience with one key figure of the business has left us disgusted at their small mindedness and general professional disrespect. Absolutely awful experience. They are incompetent, lazy, and irresponsible. Whether it's e-mailing tenants an hour after somebody has visited the flat to tell them about access (when 24 hours notice is required by law), to repeatedly ignoring requests for help with various issues, to running an office that only operates between 10am-4pm...if you're lucky. City Property Consultants showed their true colours when it came to checking out by attempting to charge us for things we weren't liable for, constantly changing their justifications when we presented evidence that we weren't liable. Avoid like the plague. They were so inept that the landlord of the property decided to move to another lettings agent when we moved out. That says it all, really. The claim they only let the property and didn't manage it, but I have scores of emails showing otherwise.... Read more

When I first moved to London, I was warned that real estate agents are the most notoriously hated people by Londoners, now I understand what they meant. I am British-born with asian heritage who has lived in 4 different cities prior to London, and I have never before experienced such blatant disrespect from an agent towards a paying tenant. The woman who was the manager would call me (and only me) if my other flatmates did not pay rent/deposit in time and threatened ME (and only me) that I would be responsible for the other tenants (her way to freak me out and chase my flatmates to pay I guess)... But she would contact the antisocial alcoholic tenant (white male) to chat about little things because (he claims) he was the head tenant. Her assistant would scream at me to shut up when I tried to explain how horrible my situation was with this said anti-social alcoholic. This manager went out of her way to make me look bad in front of everyone via email by cc'ing everyone in a conversation, which forced me to reiterate their unprofessional behavior to everyone involved, including her scare tactics targeted at me to get me to pay her more money, her bias and preferences towards white men and putting an asian woman down. I was stuck in a horrible situation with an anti-social alcoholic (a white man) and she would tell me to leave instead. She even went as far as to contacting her attorney to make sure their organisation is not liable. I lived in that flat for a few years but when one flatmate could not afford his share of rent (without telling me or the other flatmates), this agency decided to not renew our lease. I had enough as well, it's all about money with them -- so I left and now I'm no longer afraid to voice my experience and warn others from working with this agency.... Read more

I don't usually leave comments online, but this agency was exceptional. After countless warnings from my friends with horror stories, I was a little skeptical of London real-estate agencies. But Esther and her collegues were stellar. The inventory was done with a lot of honesty, didn't try to rip us off. For every little problem we've had (broken window, broken fridge) they would reply within the hour and send immediate help. Every problem we've had was fixed within days. Got my deposit back without any worries. They were always nice and so helpful! Highly recommend!... Read more

I rented from them for two years on the top floor. In the beginning we had plenty problem with the flat, but thanks for the friendly and professional staff. they solved many problem when its showed up. Basically during this two years the whole estate got a new roof. For sure i will choose them when Im back to London... Read more

I was pleased with the service provided by City Property Consultants, everything we need or asked for was done, no problems on the check in or check out, no problems with the deposit. Communication was good as well. The only reason we didn't stay with these agents when we moved was because when we moved out they didn't have any property at that moment that fit our criteria.... 'Poor - Fair' doesn't really do this business justice. Appalling - Dire would probably be a fairer way of describing it. Terrible customer service, from both a tenant and a landlord perspective. City Property Consultants 'managed' our property and we found it almost impossible to contact them when/if problems arose. Avoid. There are much better agencies out there.... Read more
