We rented from CityRez for just over 2 years and they have been helpful, understanding and clear communicators throughout our tenancy. Could not have wished for any better service from an agency! Although sometimes things were delayed with contractors they always communicated with us and made sure we knew what was going on. Mark did not mess us about when we went to view the flat and when we said we wanted it, we did not have to 'bid' or put in a higher price as some other reviews said. He was honest and trustworthy! We have been using the services of Cityrez since 2016, both as tenants and landlords, and we can only speak highly about the team. Tony, Mark, and the most welcome recent addition Laura have been able to create a friendly environment where business is conducted in a competent and professional manner. Most of the steps have been conveniently moved online, however the team continues to be very present, approachable, and make you feel considered throughout the entire process. Laura has been great at progressing the file, and responsive to us and the tenants at each stage. Cityrez has been recommended to me by a work colleague. In the first instance 2.3 stars on Google generated many question marks. I believe those awful feedbacks are addressed to the members who are no longer employed with this company, as my own experience with the current staff could not be rated lower than 10/10. I would like to give a personal thank you to Tony as he is always prompt with replying and very helpful in fixing all maintenance issues in a timely manner. At the same time I would like to express my gratitude to Laura and Mark, who always helped me throughout the entire process of moving. Had a great experience when it came to renting a flat with CityRez. I called on a Monday to enquire, and by Saturday I had the keys to flat. Mark, specifically, was the one taking care of me. Response time was quick and I was unsure where the negative feedback on here was coming from. But my experience was completely different when it came to leaving the flat. The letting agent that was assigned to me (not Mark to be clear) was very unresponsive. It took two to three emails on average from my end to get any sort of response from her. Her emails were formatted very unprofessionally and gave off a sort of attitude. Furthermore, when it came to obtaining a landlord reference for my next flat I was given no response even after several calls and emails. I eventually had to contact the manager of the office, Tony, in order to get any sort of reply. Upon exiting the flat I was also "recommended" to use the in-house professional cleaning services for an additional fee of £160 or face penalties regarding the deposit. I used their cleaner, who showed up an hour late and because of COVID I was required to vacate the premises (understandable) but was not given any sort of estimate as to how long it would take. All-in-all I would avoid using this letting agency if you can. Your time is not valued and once they have you in a flat you can expect a sharp decline in customer service. Myself and two housemates went to view a rental property with City Rez. We turned up, had a look around and agreed we wanted to take the property at the asking price. Suddenly the agent got a phone call from someone who had viewed the property before us saying they were interested and wanted to do a second viewing. Agent then tried to leverage their interest to get us to make a higher offer, even though we had all agreed to take the property there and then. When I questioned this, the agent said that their process is to take holding deposits from whoever is interested and then decide which tenant to go with based on their circumstances. He then offered to put a good word in for us with his manager as he wasn't sure that the other interested party was in a position to afford the rent. This all brought up serious red flags for me so we decided to withdraw our offer. In all my years of renting in London I have never come across something like this. As tenants we were all working full-time, had references, offered the asking price and were in a position to move there and there but suddenly there was someone else in the running for the property (who hadn't even made an offer). As such, I didn't feel comfortable handing over a hefty holding deposit for a property we might not even get and took our search elsewhere.... Read more

Worst agency ever, avoid if possible. On check in they give you presents, on check out they claim compensation for them. If you decided to deal with them try to take photos of every piece of a flat on check in and check out to avoid stealing money from your deposit. Read DPS guidelines before accepting their claims on check out, this will save you a lot of money!... Read more

There's no "No star" option otherwise that would be my choice. Called for a viewing on Saturday morning, told I would have had a confirmation for it, but nothing happened. Called on Monday morning for explanations and they said they weren't able to get in touch with the landlord and with me; so rearranged a viewing for Tuesday morning, with the agent saying I didn't need a confirmation and spelled again my email and my phone number, just in case. On that morning I was outside of the property and after I realised the agent was late, I made a call and they said the tenant had the flu so we couldn't do the viewing, all without warning me again. Guess the reason: they couldn't get in touch with me, again. This agency and its stuff are awful and far away from being professional. A complete waste of my time and an useless day off took from work. Please, change your job and do something else.... Read more

What a bunch of incompetent idiots. They fixed my window, but actually made it too loose...tried to tell them about it, was ignored, ended up damaging the hanger that holds the curtains because window basically almost fell out, had to fix myself. Then they take off money from the deposit because of a damaged hanger hahahaha. Getting the security deposit has been one hell of a fight, even once it was agreed upon howmuch we'd get back from the deposit (which took 2 weeks longer then was promised) After the agreement, one agent has 'gone on leave'. Then I was assured the paperwork has been processed and would take a few days to receive, once I asked for proof..NO MORE ANSWERS HAHA... OH YEA ONE MORE THING...the last tenants left a huge!! huge ink mark (looks like a few pens just exploded under the bed) They deducted it from their deposit but never replaced the mattress for us hahaha. Seemed like we'd get a new mattress, but once rent was paid, we never heard back from the landlord in all 12 months, agency would just ignore us completely. (hoping to receive our deposit sometime in this lifetime)... Read more

Although Andy is very nice and professional, if you are renting you will have to deal with Sebum which is at best rude and at worst aggressive. The agency also sent me a patronising document about the difference between mould and condensation which is ironic as they seem to know the difference themselves or deal with the dangerous mould spread that I reported several time......
