Jamie and Terence did a great job selling our house. They marketed the property very well, took great photographs (even swept up the back yard!) and got a lot of viewings booked in on the opening weekend. More than anything they communicated with us well, replying to e-mails at all hours, and really pushed the solicitors on both sides to get the sale completed quickly. I would happily recommend them to anybody in the area.

We purchased our new home from Terence at Strickland, and couldn’t have asked for a better person to get us through the process. He was very proactive and friendly throughout every step, and helped to keep us updated when it’s hard to get quick answers from solicitors! He made every request and visit seem like no issue at all. So knowledge about the house, had spoken with the neighbours and was so informative and honest about the property, we were blown away! Terence has been so helpful throughout the process and nothing has been too much for them! He even come out to meet us at the property within a few hours notice! We can wholeheartedly recommend Strickland & Co. We bought a property in Lewisham through them in early summer 2024. We viewed two properties with Terence and it felt like we were having a dialogue with him about their pros and cons - as opposed to the usual estate agent hard sales pitch. The brothers are born and bred in Lewisham, and being new to the area we found their advice about the local area invaluable. Jamie is to be commended for his management of the whole chain and we believe it is due to him that the (highly complicated) chain didn't collapse. He dealt with all of the other estate agents and solicitors in the chain, and spared us an awful lot of the stress. I used Strickland to sell my property in Lewisham and I would highly recommend them. It was a tricky sale with a large chain and lots of complications but they took a lot of the stress out of the process and really drove the sale through and helped push the other agents and solicitors within the chain to make sure the sale went through as swiftly and smoothly as possible. They are great at communicationg and explaining things - always ready to take your call and answer texts at any time and answer any questions no matter how silly or obvious they might be! I felt I had a lot of support throughout. They were always very frank and transparent and I felt I could really trust their judgement and that I was in a safe pair of hands. We are so happy to be in our new house and although moving house is an immensley stressful experience Strickland definitely eased the process!

I’ve recently used Terence and Jamie for both a sale and purchase transaction and would thoroughly recommend them.
There’s no pressure, hard sell..
They’re extremely knowledgeable about the local area and really nice guys to boot.
We had WhatsApp chats for updates/arranging bookings etc which worked really well.
They also kept things running really smoothly in terms of progress to exchange and completion with the various parties involved.
I was previously using a big chain on my sale before instructing Strickland and the difference in terms of experience was light and day.

It wasn't accidental - I read all the reviews here as well as those of many other estate agents before making my decision - in the end I was persuaded by the idea that Strickland & Co was a small family run outfit, who would go the extra mile (and put in the extra hours!) in order to sell my house quickly and at a fair price. Jamie supported us through the purchase of our first home in Lewisham and we could not have had a better experience. He made the process very smooth and was kind and patient in facilitating communication between us and the sellers. It felt like a very personalised service as Jamie was with us every step of the way, from the house viewing where he spent a lot of time with us chatting about the property and the area, to meeting us at the house with the keys and a bottle of prosecco on completion day! Can’t recommend Terence and Jamie highly enough. They provided a truly excellent service when selling out house in Lewisham. They were extremely proactive in getting the property to market and did so with enthusiasm, dedication and utilising their personal knowledge and love of the local area. We chose Terence and Jamie over other agents because we believed that they would put all of their energy and experience into selling our house and they did. They really do provide a personal and highly effective service which just cannot be provided by their main commercial competitors. They priced the sale right which meant the house sold promptly and without any embarrassing reductions. They conducted all the viewings themselves which meant they were able to provide detail to the process. They were also always available to provide help and guidance and were great at progressing the sale through to exchange and completion, which again they did themselves. A flawless experience - something all estate agents should aspire to!
My partner and I were first time buyers and came across this property on RM. I was able to schedule a viewing at 8pm the same day which was great as viewings in normal hours were difficult with our work schedules. Nevertheless, Terence / Stricklands is an enthusiastic, open and trusted duo in the whole process - you know they enjoy finding clients the perfect home. The communication with Terence was fluid and he would respond to my messages/calls almost immediately throughout the process. Terence will ensure things get progressed swiftly so that you can exchange as soon as possible - he will regularly chase all stakeholders on documents etc (including the buyer).
The SE area is Terence’s bread and butter, he has good relationships with the residents and valuable knowledge of the area. This has been highly beneficial as he will provide a grounded and honest view. His good relationship with the owners also significantly helped us during negotiations (i.e, post survey, completion dates). What I really appreciated is that he will help do what is genuinely in the best interest of the buyer, throughout the buying process.
I couldn’t recommend Terence and his brother enough for a property in the area. They 100% are more personable, honest and clear during the process compared to high street estate agents!

Our situation was quite tricky with a cladding problem, but Terence guided us and our buyer with extreme patience and knowledge, and got us all a great outcome. I’m not planning on moving anytime soon, but if I did I’d definitely use Strickland again!

I have nothing but the highest praise for Terrence and Jamie at Strickland & Co whose efforts were nothing short of heroic. They ended up having to sell our flat twice as our first two attempts at buying fell through (no thanks to Pedder and KFH) and our original buyer had to step away. The whole process lasted about eighteen months. On both occasions they got us four really good offers within days of going on the market. They handled the whole thing from start to finish, kept me calm during what was an immensely stressful time and were a pleasure to deal with. They are a boutique agency and I feel they went way above and beyond the service I would have got from a national chain. Communication was excellent - they make themselves available at evenings and weekends - and all queries were dealt with very promptly. They were born and brought up locally so they know the area very well and they offer a really excellent service. I would give them six stars if I could.

We had the misfortunate of working with Terence from Stickland & Co. last year and our experience was not in line with some of the other reviews posted here.
Our experience was made up of a last minute cancellation, of a house viewing, by the agent, even though the explanation didn't make sense to us, and this was complemeted with failed promises to follow up with us. As a result we went about writing a review about our experience, which we were swiftly asked to remove, and we obliged, giving them a chance to prove their supposed exceptional service.
What then transpired was 1 week to 10 days of constant bombardment and contact from Terence, which although unecessary was at least a change in tone. This then quickly desended into us falling completely off the radar again, regardless of the promises they made. I want to be clear we never expected daily emails or daily follow ups, but a middle ground between that and their alternative which is zero communication is probably the sweet spot.
I also acknowledge that as we were a buyer and not a seller they might not have seen the guaranteed revenue from us, if their company didn't manage to acquire our dream home for us. However surely in order to appease your sellers you would want a bigger mix of buyers to suit every need, budget etc...
In addition, Terence was made aware that we were considering listing our rental property with them, however as we havent heard from then since that anomalous week of contact, I assume we are simply not worthy customers.
The last bit that seemed a little unprofessional, was the attempt to settle us as buyers about how competative the housing market is and that 'we should be so fortunate that our area isnt even as competitive as the area they themselves were currently looking to buy in'.
It is really sad to have to write this review, as we were hoping this team was not your average agent. This review wouldn't have been as bad as it is if we weren't asked to take the original one down to give them a chance to prove themselves, only to continue to receive the same consistant treatment.

Strickland & Co have just sold our property in SE13 and I have to echo the 5* reviews that they have. From start to finish, Jamie & Terence have been helpful, informative, always readily available and approachable- they are genuinely nice guys and really know their market. We were hit by Trussonomics and the fall out from that, yet the brothers navigated this with ease and found us a buyer, got us to exchange and ultimate completion- all within 4 months from offer.
It was a huge relocation for us and was a very emotional process, yet Jamie was always there on the phone for us and was so proactive in reaching exchange- I sincerely don't think we would be here in our new home without his hard work and tenacity. So a huge thank you from us; I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Strickland & Co to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in SE London.

Terence recently assisted us in the sale our house in the St Johns area and I can honestly say both he and his brother Jamie offered us one of the most professional, effective services I have ever encountered. Within a week of advertising our house and after just one viewing Terence had managed to find a purchaser. Thereafter, his attention to detail and his energy in continuing to push the sale forward was extraordinary. His support throughout, especially during one or two wobbles (not least the implosions caused by Trussonomics) went far beyond the norm and I told Terence that he ever leaves the property business he would have a fruitful career as a social worker! Strickland and Co are not your normal estate agents, their knowledge of the area, their understanding of the sales process and its stresses, their speed of response to every inquiry, no matter how small was amazing. And the extra mile they go to assist their clients is something else. Not only did Terence manage to recommend an excellent solicitor, but he put us in touch with plumbers, electricians and even after the sale was completed he has kept in touch to check on how we are doing. We recently sold our flat in southeast London through Strickland & Co.
Terence and Jamie are very knowledgeable about the local area and property market in Southeast London. They provided a fair evaluation of our 2 bed flat, explained clearly the sale process, the go to market approach and were transparent about the costs. We chose Strickland & Co because we felt that we could trust them with the sale of our flat, they would be able to find us a serious buyer quickly to meet our asking price, and they were always responsive 7 days a week.
We also chose Strickland & Co as we felt that as a business, they care and contribute to the local community. They are very supportive of local charities and did not hesitate to sponsor and promote a charity event at our little one’s nursery over the summer.
They delivered an amazing personalised service, which we wouldn’t have received from the big corporate agencies. They listened to us, worked around our availability for viewings, and personally helped with setting up our flat to show off the unique selling points during viewings. They worked with all parties, especially the solicitors on both sides and agents through the chain to keep the ball rolling despite all challenges until the completion date.
We cannot recommend Strickland & Co enough. They not only safeguarded our interests as vendors, but ensured that the buyer’s interests were taken into account throughout the sale process, so it is a win/win on both sides. They went out of their way to provide an excellent service and make the experience as smooth as possible.

We bought our house through Strickland & Co, a local firm of two brothers, and I have to say they were first class. We would fully recommend Strickland & Co if you are looking to sell in the SE London area.
As a local firm, they were very knowledgeable of the area in which we were buying. Terence also kept us up to date at every stage of the process, explaining why things were taking longer than usual (we happened to be buying in the middle of a boom in house sales) and letting us know when the likely completion date would be so we could plan ahead of time.
As the estate agent we were using for the sale of our property had seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth once we had accepted an offer on our place with neither our buyer nor we having any contact from them whatsoever until a just few days before completion, Terence went the extra mile to speak to our buyers to reassure them that everything was moving ahead, just more slowly than anticipated, which they greatly appreciated.

Jamie and Terence have been brilliant with the sale of our flat in SE4
From the moment we first spoke, they have been on it - keeping us updated with the process, organising photographers, liaising with the tenants to ensure that viewings under COVID conditions were well managed, recommending and supervising builders and solicitors - then ensuring that we received the best possible offer for the property - assessing potential buyers and providing us with a clear recommendation on who was the most viable buyer to ensure the sale went through.
This was the 3rd time we have tried to sell the property over the last 6 years and the first time that we have felt that our agent has been on it and not just seeing us as another case to close as quickly as possible once the brief was in - and given that the sale took twice as long as it should have done thanks mainly to a very slow solicitor (not ours/one they recommended who were brilliant so if they recommend Hegartys, go for it with them), they had to work hard to keep some rather frustrated sellers engaged in the process
My wife and I haven't much experience of buying or selling but if the process was run as smoothly as this every time then we would be very happy!!
They understand why it is important to keep sellers engaged at every step of the way and anticipated our questions, feedback and took the initiative to keep the day to day/knucklehead stuff off our to do list

Strickland, although an online agent, was literally on my doorstep! Terence and Jamie helped me to navigate the whole complex and stressful selling process. They were always available to deal with issues and offer support. Initially I was a bit apprehensive about going with them to sell my property due to the small size of the agency but I needed not have worried! They have the experience and contacts to market and sell the property. Viewings and offers were soon coming in. Their work ethics and standards are second to none throughout the whole process. I’m so glad that I chose them. Honestly couldn’t recommend Terence and Jamie more as tenants when you’re looking to move in somewhere. They were completely up front with us at a difficult time when we needed a place ASAP, liaised between us and the landlord immaculately, and did everything they humanly could to get us the best possible place while taking into account our own personal circumstances.
They were entirely fair to us and all the other prospective tenants when looking at the place, refusing to let us put in an offer before we saw the property not only out of fairness but for our own sake. Beyond that they ran the referencing process incredibly seamlessly, even arranging with the existing tenants to let us view the property once more to get a better idea of furniture requirements.
Brilliant estate agents, but also really really great personable people all round. Wish I could give them 6/5 stars.

I would recommend Strickland and Co in a heartbeat to anyone looking to sell a property in South London. We sold our house in Deptford through them earlier this year and we were really happy and comfortable with the job that they carried out for us.
We knew Jamie and Terence from when we looking for our first home in 2019 and had offered on a place they were selling in Nunhead, which we were ultimately unsuccessful on. However, we really liked them and their approach as agents in the process and we always said we'd probably look to sell the place we eventually bought.
Pleased to say that our experience of selling through them was just as we expected it would be. They were incredibly quick and efficient and their energy and positivity is really infectious and I believe a great help to getting buyers interested. They know the area really well having grown up there and when we came to list off a few things we thought was worth pointing out to buyers, they were already all over this, sending people to the local markets, bars, parks etc all the things that give an area more a sense of home. House was under offer within three days.
With Jamie and Terence you get two enthusiastic, genuine and knowledgeable guys who clearly love what they do and really care about helping people make what are really significant and nerve-wracking life steps. That, I think sets them apart from a lot of others. We've seen so many places with agents who stand there either silent or just don't listen to what you really want/don't want. Throughout the sale process they were on the phone constantly and I don't think they ever missed a call from us throughout the whole process. I hope they build more and more success as the property market could do with more agents with their approach and charisma.
