Deceitful business practices. We rented a property with them for 6 years. They did not do repairs and had the property neglected for years. When we let them know we were moving out they came with a list of demands saying that we had to pay for it, and brand new. It included old furniture, appliances and basic repairs. All of which they should have repaired and replaced as it is required by law. We've disputed their claims via the deposit protection scheme and won on all cases. They take advantage of ill-informed tenants. When you move out they will claim that you have to pay for repairs and will ask for lots of money, then they will try to settle outside the deposit protection scheme for a smaller figure saying that it is better otherwise it will take too long for you to get the rest of your deposit back. Know your rights, if you genuinely look after the property you have nothing to fear. Search for advice if you don't know. They will ask for you to pay for things they are required to maintain by law.
