A very dishonest estate agent. I rented a property of them in 2019, my contract was due to begin on the 1st of June. I got a call from an agent of their asking me (pushing me) to start the contract on the 29th May instead, I accepted as I didn't think much of it. Fast forward three month and I find out the government introduced the legislation removing the agent's fees on the 1st of June 2019 which would have exempted me but I literally got tricked to sign earlier so that I would pay the £450. I do not recommend them one bit.

The whole experience was relatively smooth and faultless, and was mediated by salesmanship of the Big Fella , the friendly back room staff and the negotiating skills of Jayne at the sharp end.

Exceptional service from Connells Oadby Branch, in particular I highly recommend Jayne Blackburn and Conor. Individuals who go out of their way to deliver excellent service.

A highly responsive team, who were alway happy to take my numerous calls and ensured the kept me updated throughout the sale of my property.

I sold my place within 3 months of it being advertised in a smooth process and also considering I live abroad.

Connells may not be the cheapest but well worth the fee.

We bought our new home with Connells. A very friendly bunch - especially Ollie who was honest, professional and always a pleasure to deal with. When we wanted to visit the property multiple times before completion for measurements, builder quotes etc. it was never a problem and when we had a delay with the solicitor they were quick to look into the problem and chase it up. I would recommend as a buyer.

These "professionals" arranged an appointment with me.

Rang me before to confirm. I told them I was there 20 mins early in order to see what the area was like and told them to come down at any point. I got a confused response as though I was strange for wanting to be early.

They were late.

I left.

CANNOT KEEP A SIMPLE APPOINTMENT.

Then they blamed traffic - they live in Ashford and KNOW that the roads are nightmares in Ashford, and thus leave early for every appointment to take this into account. Thus they are poor at understanding the very area they rent in.

Then I wrote with my disappointment about this. And their SENIOR manager couldnt even get my name correctly despite having it written down for him in my emails....

Thus cannot READ.

So they cant keep appointments and cannot and do not care enough to even give you the respect of getting your name correct.

HIGHLY HIGHLY unprofessional just like 7 other letting agents in Ashford.

Evaluation of Connells role in selling 21 Tack Farm Road, Wordsley for Mr David James, Client.

As we all know, concluding the sale of my mother’s house has been a long, drawn out affair, with two nearly’. The first was aborted, following Mr Tonks’ escape from his legal and moral duties, to the darkest alley or sewer in Stourbridge. Ben worked very hard on this one, contacting me with regular information about the progress of the sale, and maybe I should have followed his suggestion to put the house back on the market immediately, but left it until late January this year. I
decided to put it on offer in early February, and Ben found another prospective buyer, a young couple, a price was agreed, and seemed to be going smoothly until Covid-19 crashed into our lives. The couple had to pull out of the deal, after one of them lost their job.
I was getting very despondent, but Ben, with great stoicism, assured me there were other buyers, and in no time at all, he successfully found a successful buyer, who went all the way, with contracts being signed and exchanged toward the end of last week. The sale was not without some rocks in the road – asbestos being one, and completing at a very inconvenient time for me – last week, as I was, and am still teaching. This was a misunderstanding between the solicitor’s office and me, whom I had to remind that I was their client, and whose best interests were being compromised.
Still, the deal went through last Friday, and I have to thank Ben for his determination in getting the sale concluded.
Always respectful and attending to my needs and queries in a very professional manner, he has kept me informed at every stage, and minute detail, bringing the sale to a mutually agreed finale.
Thank you Ben, it has been a pleasure working with you. Top man!
