I have no idea how this estate agent is still in business, the attitude of Martin is terrible, awkward, he is patronising and very unhelpful - it's almost as if he doesn't want to sell the house, I have never dealt with an estate agent like this before.
I am convinced that they do not pass offers onto clients and let them decide if to accept or not.

This is in regards to lettings.
They take ages to get back to you. You're unlikely to move in on the date agreed.
Not just us, but others have said they failed to get the documentation ready in time (Electricity, gas and EPC).
The agent on the viewing day, answered our questions incorrectly. (False information, rather than admitting she didn't know.). For a property they claim to have helped manage for years, they were wrong about parking (Told we had a space. We don't.) and white goods (Told they were taken out to redecorate. None come with the property and the Landlord showed he had informed them previous to this that there would be no white goods.)
Ensure everything said in person or over the phone is recorded or in writing and I'm sure this won't be a problem for you.
Finally:
They use a third party called Goodlord for referencing and will not use anyone else.
This is a problem as what they say in their terms and conditions mean they can do a lot more with your information than necessary, and opting out is tricky. Emails sent to the right people with details on different documents on their website but not linked make it hard to find. Be very careful of tick boxes that ask you the same thing a few times on different pages, in different ways. They hope you say yes to them using your info in other ways once by accident.
Otherwise, the landlord seems good.
The property is nice. It's just not as advertised. It's not been this bad in a decade of renting (6 different properties in 10 years. (Student and then work asking us to move.)... Read more
