I had the misfortune of trying to rent with this company a year ago when it was called VURV Estates & Property Management.
I attended a viewing with one of its letting agents, Ethan, who promised the property was ready and available to let immediately.
I paid the holding deposit and completed my application for the property.
After a week of oddly sparse communication, I went into the office to find out the property was not actually available because it still required essential works to be completed.
I want to note that a lot of the essential works required would have been obvious to an experienced property professional – building signoffs, fire risk assessments, EPC and EIRC certificates, etc.
I was promised the property would be ready in two weeks if I was OK to wait.
In the meantime, they sent me adverts for properties owned by one of the company directors, which were in really poor condition.
At the time, I did not understand why they were sending me adverts for other properties when I was waiting to move into the one I applied for.
It turned out the owners of the property had removed it from the market and discharged this company as the letting agent.
I was not told about this at all. Instead, I was left to wait for weeks until I decided enough was enough and withdrew my application.
I submitted a complaint about the situation to the company management, which was handled by Louis.
In his response, Louis falsely claimed the reason for the delays was because they could not contact the owners of the property.
I thought this was extraordinary.
I reached out to the owners of the property who told me, no, they had in fact been in daily communication, telling them they could not move people into the property.
Since it was clear this organisation was unwilling to treat me fairly and deal with my complaint honestly, I submitted a separate one to the Property Redress Scheme.
The Property Redress Scheme upheld my complaint and found this company had been negligent and misled me and awarded me £500 compensation.
Whilst I am pleased other people have had a much more positive experience judging from the Google Reviews, I personally found them to be incompetent, dishonest, and unwilling to take accountability.
If everything goes right, then great, no problem. But if something goes wrong, then they will lie about it, blame everyone but themselves, and fail to take ownership of the situation.
An extremely disappointing and costly experience.
Update:
The response to my review is exactly what I expected from this company: a complete and total inability to accept responsibility for past mistakes.
Louis has claimed that my review relates to a completely separate lettings company. This is false and misleading. Estates 'The Art of Property' was called VURV Estates & Property Management up until June of this year - he was responding to Google reviews on here as such only 4 months ago!
It is simply extraordinary that he would make this claim given that 1) he oversaw the lettings side of the business and 2) dealt with my application when everything went wrong.
I'll reiterate: if everything goes right, then great, no problem. But if something goes wrong, then they will lie about it, blame everyone but themselves, and fail to take ownership of the situation.

I had never heard of this estate agents before so was a little wary, however i needed to move quite quickly. The ad was very well described and the pictures showcased the property well. I called to enquire and Olivia was the agent who answered, she was very professional and answered all my questions with ease. Organised a viewing and the agent was always punctual on time and if any issues arose i was emailed promptly.
The application process was made very simple and the agents explained the process so i knew what was expected. i was kept informed at all stages via e-mail or phone call and was never left wondering what was happening.
Move in day was made so easy again prompt and on time, they explained everything to me and what was expected from both myself and the landlord.
I cant fault the company, i hope they continue this professional stance.

I recently moved into a property managed by this agency, and I must say, my experience has been exceptional from start to finish. The property was immaculately clean, tidy, and beautifully decorated – it was clear that a lot of care had gone into preparing it.
The team’s communication was professional, accommodating, and thoughtful. Despite a minor scheduling misunderstanding regarding the key handover, they went out of their way to ensure everything went smoothly. louis was just setting out on his own when we agreed to market my property, having had a tenant leave I needed to sell the property both quickly and at a realistic price. Louis suggested the price point which I agreed and he proved to be correct as the property sold within 5 days and to a lovely couple who were able to move quickly as not in a chain, just what I required. I had numerous comments from friends and family regarding the quality of the images that were taken of the property and I strongly believe this influenced the quick sale and slightly above the asking price. All throughout the sale process I was kept informed from Louis & Sally and as I live 80 miles away from the property this was very comforting.
