I've only moved house twice and both times have been challenging for want of a better word! The difference on this occasion was Fairfield Estates, specifically Matt Holmes and his team in the Watford office.
From the initial viewings with Michael, to the regular, informative, friendly check-in's with Matt, I cannot rate this team highly enough for their professionalism, down to earth nature, calm manner under pressure and the ability to make the house buying process that bit smoother. As the buyer I wasn't the paying customer and yet I feel that I received such an amazing service.
I would recommend Fairfield Estates without hesitation. It's apparent in their manner that they value all of their clients, their attention to detail, communication and knowledge is impressive. I was never left hanging on for a response, Matt worked tirelessly to get my purchase over the line, going above and beyond on several occasions and I'm hugely grateful. A lovely little touch from Dani was a gift box welcoming me to my new home the day after I moved in. If you're considering selling or are lucky enough to be buying through this office you won't be disappointed.
If I ever decide to sell I know where I'll be going.

Did someone say moving was stressful? If it is supposed to be, for us Fairfield really did go out of their way to ensure it was not stressful at all for us. All staff members were so polite each time we called, considerate when arranging and doing viewings and really did go out of their way to answer any questions we had along the way. From the moment we put our house for sale to completing, the communication from Fairfield was excellent. We don't plan on moving again anytime soon but if we did, we will 100% use Fairfield. There really isn’t enough space to write, how impressed, me and my husband are, with the service, we have received from the team at Fairfield Estates in Bushey. They have always been incredibly supportive, helpful, friendly and professional. No job is too much for them. What could be a stressful experience was made easy by everyone at Fairfields North Watford. From the valuation visit through to completion of sale they were brilliant. All their staff were polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Despite going to market in December they sold the house at a good price within 9 weeks and all offers came with a good understanding of the potential buyers positions which is critical in helping choose the right one. I could not recommend the team there more highly.

We bought our property through Fairfield and thought that they were the most honest and supportive agent we had come across in the whole of Hertfordshire.
We were so impressed with their service and help, that we decided to appoint them once we had again decided to move a few years later and found that the service had somehow improved from the high quality that they were before!
The team, in particular Matt and Chris, did everything in their power to make you feel comfortable and at ease with one of the largest decisions you would ever make in your life - this is exactly what we needed.

This is the second time that we have sold through Fairfield Estates, and on both occasions, the Fairfield team have been amazing.
Rather than just valuing our house at an inflated price to get us to commit to the sale, they marketed it a good but realistic price, which I'm sure helped us with the quick sale at the price we wanted.
They are very professional carefully explaining all and any processes that we were unsure of as well as resolving the few issues that we had with our buyers. In short, they made sure the whole process ran smoothly.
Importantly, Fairfield are by far the most responsive estate agent that I have ever dealt with (selling and buying). Even with all the the pandemic restrictions, the viewings were managed safely, and they made sure that they answered any question that we may of had immediately or within hours.They even went out of their way to find a great heating engineer to service our boiler as British Gas were too busy during the pandemic.

Lost job due to COVID-19 and rather than offer empathy or seek to be civil all they worry about is getting rent paid either from the tenant or government. I'd like to mention that Asha was especially helpful as my partner and I had a poor experience with another agency and was disappointed with the fact we didn't get the flat we wanted. However when we saw a similar flat within the same area we jumped at the opportunity and was calling and rushing around to get a viewing on the day. Asha sorted this all out and even went to show us the property outside of her working hours and once we saw the property we knew that this is the one that we wanted as it was better than the one we initially wanted. If this doesn't tell you how much Asha went above and beyond for us. Explained clearly what it was that we would need to do to start the ball rolling and this then moves us on to Lucy.
Lucy was very helpful for us as she was the one that would review our forms and documents. Very punctual with times and was always quick to respond to me. Especially with the bad experience I had elsewhere I did have a lot of questions and would find myself pestering Lucy asking for updates all the time. However Lucy was very professional and understood where I was coming from and was always happy to supply me with updates clearly and even helped us chase up the Landlord with making decisions.
All in all I would once again strongly recommend this team as they do go above and beyond and have helped us along the way and very soon we will be moving in to our new property.

Avoid like the plague if you’re a renter. The staff treat you like you are a bother for even the most basic questions. I was threatened with “considerable charges” for ordering the wrong size £3 pound sink plug when I left the property, and received endless rude emails from the director of this company about the matter while I was on holiday. When we moved out I had the oven (and the entire property) professionally cleaned, but as there was a streak left on the inside of the glass door, they charged me £75 from my deposit to have it cleaned again by one of their cleaners, clearly trying to desperately milk every penny out of the situation. I found this ironic, when the property itself was in absolute shambles from before we moved in. We had 2.5 years of peeling paint, broken appliances, mold, leaking pipes and intermittently functioning hot water and central heating. We ended our lease early because we could not tolerate the state of the property any longer.
They may put on a show if you’re selling a property with them, but if you’re “just” renting through them, it is an absolute nightmare. I used to dread having to get in touch with them if something was broken as the reception staff are so rude. The only sensible professional is Justin, who does the property inspections.

We sold and purchased properties with Fairfield finally last month.
Having started the process last June we were very tempted to go with an online agency to save money but having seen the house we wanted through Fairfield’s and after meeting chris we felt confident in them.
We ended up in a chain of 11, us being second bottom there were many times our chain was fragile and it looked likely to collapse due to our buyers buyer, it was a very stressful time and I had the added pressure of being pregnant.
Matt at Fairfield’s with his wealth of experience then took on our case, he made sure we were updated daily and kept in touch with everyone in the chain even though he didn’t need to, he went above and beyond! and I honestly believe if it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t have completed on our dream home.
If we had gone with an online cheaper estate agents the chain would have definitely collapsed as I wouldn’t have had the time or know how to deal with all the problems that arose in our sale.
I cannot thank Matt, Chris and Fairfield’s enough and if we were ever to buy/sell again I wouldn’t be looking any further, highly recommended.

Chris and Matt were two extremely hard working, honest, communicable people that made it easy to call up and ask anything including the small things which are a bit unknown to first time buyers.

My experience with Fairfield Estate was very bad, I don’t recommend to anyone to go with them
So they help you just to rent the house(in my case)after you have to discuss with the landlord for any other problems in house
For example we wait 45 days to fix the radiator this in winter time
Next was when we leave the house,landlord hungry to learn how much he can they say to discuss with landlord and give them a call back when we are agreed...
And many many inconvenience

Cannot speak highliy enough of Fairfield - we had sold our flat and bought our first house through them.
Throughout the whole process on both sides, we found all the staff there very friendly, willing to help, and very professional. They were always working for our best interest which is comforting when in previous interactions with other estates agents we have often felt their interests were priority.
They are very knowledgeable, particularly in regards to the local area, and great with their suggestions and providing you a different viewpoint we previously may have discounted.
Lovely people to deal with, geniune and honest and if we do ever decide to move (although we are extremely happy where we landed) we wouldn't hesitate to contact Fairfield.

I rent a flat full of issues. They have been fixed but it took too much time because of one member of the staff that didn't take it seriously since the beginning. Then after many complaints I found two member of the staff that they fixed everything in the house working in professional way.

Fairfields are Excellent!
We chose Fairfields after getting valuations done from three local agents. Fairfields did a very good job on valuation and quoted a good all inclusive price.
The service we received from Fairfields was excellent. For us, the most important thing was to sell and for Fairfields to do all the viewings. Unlike many estate agents who promise the world and don't deliver, Fairfields did every viewing, telling us in advance and doing the viewings quickly for buyers.
Fairfields also did an excellent job of keeping in contact (shout out to Matt and Chris!), pushing things through to completion in a very professional way, and are also very nice people.
Excellent service, honest, professional, quick and reliable. Changed my view of what an estate agent could be (other agencies could learn a few things).

Having dealt with many estate agents in the Watford and Hemel area over the last year or so, I can say with great confidence that Matt and the team at Fairfield Estate Agents, Watford are one of the best. They were professional and very personable and in times of crisis (of which there are always a few when buying and selling a house), their advice was invaluable.

Fairfield are absolutely outstanding!
When myself and my partner were looking to rent a property, everyone at Fairfield made the whole process so easy and simple, ensuring everything was covered yet never ceased being friendly, approachable and professional. Even once we were in and settled they haven't stopped supporting us, even getting us an amazing result in the renewal of our tenancy!
We couldn't sing higher praises for the Team as everyone we have been in contact with has been a sincere pleasure to interact with. Always keeping us in the loop of anything that's going on, listening to our needs and doing everything possible to make them happen.

Very professional staff. Chris worked so hard on our behalf. Matt was extremely helpful too. We had some difficulties with the sale of our Mum's flat and they had their work cut out chasing solicitors. It was a nightmare but Chris was on the phone constantly keeping us updated. I have to say, whenever Chris was not in the office, Matt was always up to date with what was happening so we didn't have to wait for Chris to get back to us.
We would have no problem recommending Fairfield Estates, they did a brilliant job in difficult circumstances.

We have now bought and sold a house with Fairfield Estates, from both sides they have been a fantastic team and made the process as smooth as it can be.
Matt is always on hand with any issue and the solicitors that they recommended were also great and they have such a good relationship that any of my concerns were quickly ironed out.
The Fairfield team are proactive and quick to respond to any issue as well as on hand for general advice throughout the buying process.
When we were buyers Matt listened to our needs and found the right house for us instead of showing us numerous properties that didn't match our criteria (this can't be said for other agents!) the for our sale 4 years later completing this week (may 17) they were so proactive when our buyer dropped out and sorted a new buyer within days which meant we didn't loose our desired property

I bought my flat through Fairfields a few years ago and have now just sold it through them too. They offered a great service throughout both transactions - they always got back to me when I had questions to ask and were very helpful and friendly along the way. We were put off using some other estate agents because they tried to give you the hard sell before they'd even stepped through the front door, but fairfields always seemed genuine, realistic and honest with us about what we could and couldn't achieve, and helped us get a good price for the property. I would definitely use them again!

Fairfield are estate agents unlike any that I have ever dealt with. We chose them because of their positive reviews, and we weren't disappointed.
Matt really took the time to understand our needs and worked with us to achieve them. Every phone call was returned promptly and every question was answered with honesty.
From the very first phone call, right through to exchange of contracts and beyond, Fairfield have kept us informed about every aspect of our transactions. We were always treated as individuals and given helpful advice when we needed it. When things started to go wrong, Fairfield continued to advise us and worked tirelessly on our behalf until we were able to exchange.
I would happily recommend Fairfield to anyone. If you want to sell your house and want to keep it as stress-free as possible, you won't find better. They are very reasonably priced too!
And if it isn't too late for you to save yourself - DON'T RING CONNELLS! They have spammed the living daylights out of me ever since, I wish I'd never given them my details!

What I have learnt is selling a property is not necessarily straight forward but what I do know is Chris (the main driver) and Matt (always helping from the sidelines) made this as easy as possible in the circumstances, which were completely outside of their control. I always felt informed on progress and that they were working proactively for us, pushing the process along and always in our best interests. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Only positive things to say about Fairfield estates! When buying our new home the process was extremely long - finding the right place, losing out on houses, finding the right house, then finally having an offer excepted and moving in after a 13 month wait. The only shining light was how helpful the Fairfield estates team were. They understood what were were looking for and only showed us relevant properties, which saved us so much time! In my personal opinion Fairfields are the Best agents in Watford district. Their service rates are highly competitive... Staff have an amazing amount of combined industry knowledge on the Market and related services and have their fingers on the ball on the current market trends and information. They have excellent Marketing with a wide coverage of target areas. Fairfields is a professionally well run business.
Staff are extremely helpful and offer second to none services that outshines all other Watford agents without exception. Their customer service is focused on you as a customer and delivering the goods, they work on your interest and not purely just their own, they work for you and with you. They are v.attentive and keep you well informed.
In my personal experience nearly all agents I have dealt with do not measure up to Fairfields customer service and professionalism. This is how a Real Estate business should be run... a bench mark for other agents, they should take note…!

As this was 'our first home' purchase, it was even more important for us to ensure that it was a pleasant and memorable experience. With all the horror stories we had heard through friends and family previously, we were very cautious and careful when choosing our estate agents and all other parties to help us buy the house.
Fairfield Estates on Bushey Mill Lane, North Watford definitely helped overturn our perception of the stereotypical views about estate agents. I can surely say that they break the mould when it comes to service and go more than the extra mile to ensure that the house purchase goes through extremely smoothly.
Justin's charm, wealth of knowledge and personal experience of the vicinity and the industry helped keep us at ease. Andrea's relentless chasing of the solicitors and other vendors took away our stress and pressure, allowing us to get on with our jobs and ensured that the exchange took place on time. Matt's honesty and perception helped us see passed the house in it's current state and see what we could turn it into and Chris' friendly face on viewings and professionalism on the phone gave us peace of mind.
They all have a fantastic work ethic putting the customer first, with an empathetic and very personal approach. We also used a few additional services that they recommended to help us move home. They also work so well together as a team and want what's best for their customer. Personally experiencing how busy and reactive their work is in the office, I was blown away at how proactive they really are.
