Do not rent with them.
Just finished our 2 years rental. Not a single penny back still from our deposit money / the landlord who's house is falling apart.
They fixed few things rught after we moved in, then they stopped and we have had almost no help from them.
Wasn't able to fix shower in 2 years, rotten worktops in the kitchen, leaks that no one was able able.to fix (most likely because of the owner didn't agree to prices given by builders, many many builders who came to visit). By the way, ceiling eventually collapsed. Not that they fixed it, left it on the floor for over a month with yet another number of builders to come, view ot and quote.
Now, we were ended tenency and were told not a single penny from our deposit.
Have to fight for our money.
Disgusting!!!!
So glad we moved out.

I brought my house that was marketed by Finchleys and finally completed mid December 2022. In total it took nearly 6 months! Ash is very good at chasing ppl and updating both sides, also patient enough to call elusive solicitors and stay on hold for an afternoon. I think this dedication is great for the seller. However it was an extremely stressful time for me with delays from others, miscommunication, mortgage rate changes and fluctuating house prices, so as a buyer who had no new updates it very very stressful. It also made me reexamine whether it was worth going through with the house purchase. It has taken me a few months to get over it... Also because I forgot to write this review earlier...better late than never right?

In January this year we offered on a property that was being marketed through Finchley’s Estates. At this stage our property wasn’t on the market, but Finchley’s helped us get our offer accepted, and got our property on the market also, which was under offer within 2 weeks.
We found Finchley's to be professional and reliable during both transactions. We were kept updated throughout the process and Ash in particular was very helpful. Everything went pretty smoothly, so we would recommend!

After the nightmare of London real estate hunting, it was so nice to deal with FInchleys as a more human and personal estate agents. In particular, I found the estate agent Chloe an exceptional agent to walk around the flat with. Unprofessional, untrustworthy, Keep you in dark until last moment, Will ditch you for few Pounds and leave you in hanging when you have finalized everything. Ms. Chloe, a very unprofessional, irresponsible agent, will not come on phone or in contact till you become desperate. She will keep on raising price and come up with different excuses to squeeze every penny out of you. She promises and backs out at the last moment. Be careful they have probably no stock of theirs and borrow from others and keep looking for the best victim till the last moment even if they had promised you a deal. Never trust their words

Firstly, there was no pushy sales pitch when he came to value the property we were selling, and we were just given good sound advice, which we felt comfortable taking or leaving. We felt Raj had a good knowledge of the market and were happy to take his guidance.
Viewings were also very well managed. There weren't any time wasters and Raj had certainly vetted before sending them round. That said, there was really good interest and within a few weeks we had achieved offers at asking price. After which, Finchleys Estates were always advising and keeping us in the loop along the way through to completion.
We would highly recommend FE's personal and professional approach, and are very glad we didn't assign one of the bigger chain estate agents. Our initial worry that a smaller agent might not have as far "reach" was definitely unfounded!

Renting in London is really tricky at the minute, but we're glad the process was smooth and Chloe was always on hand via email or WhatsApp to help us with any questions whether they were big or small.
For anyone wondering about the process with Finchleys compared to other agents, in our experience we needed to pay a holding deposit when we made an offer (which is refunded if you don't get the property), then we went through referencing, and then our offer was accepted and we paid the remainder of the deposit :)

This agency goes above and beyond to not only get the job done but to also make a trying process as smooth and as pleasant as possible.
I had to sell my property in the UK while out of the country. At the time, the property was being rented out by a family member without my permission. I contacted almost 50 estate agents via email and later spoke to them on Zoom. What set Raj Yadav instantly apart from others was his genuine compassion and empathy. He made no promises, only that he would do his best to see what the situation was.
Within a matter of days the tenant had been contacted and entered into a rental agreement with the rent being directed to me. I had hoped to sell the property soon after that, however the legal dispute lasted for almost a year. Within a week to 10 days of it being settled we closed the sale.
During that year there were obstacles to the sale almost every month which my solicitor was dealing with, all the while Raj was in constant contact with the law firm, the tenant and myself. Even on the days there was no news, Raj would send me an email letting me know that he was still on the case and trying to manage my very high stress levels.
For almost an entire year Raj had potential buyers at the ready while Theodora made sure that the tenant was paying rent and that the property was kept up to an acceptable standard.
The care, warmth and experience that Raj and his team at Finchley’s Estates brings is beyond comparison. They are an example of professionalism and a true credit to their field.

Theodora was very helpful and always responded to emails very quickly regarding any queries I had. She was responsible for the management of my tenancy and was always friendly and happy to help. She was on the ball and arranged quick return of my deposit.
Ash helped find a tenant after I planned to moved out, and arranged many viewings so that there wasn’t too much of a cross over between my new and old tenancy (I left 2 weeks before end of contract). He kept me updated regarding the viewings and made the process go smoothly.

Before engaging with Finchley's I had been badly burned by 2 other agencies, so to say I was reluctant to engage with another would have been an understatement. But from my first call with Dora, who was a total dream and could not of been more patient when I vented my frustrations and concerns. Followed up with another call from Raj, the owner, who could not have done more to help and advise. I could tell instantly these guys were different!!
Without a doubt, I was hard work as a client, but nothing was too much for them to put my mind at ease and help with the sale of my flat. Once the flat was ready to go on the market the baton was passed to the lovely Katie to handle the viewings and subsequent offers and sale. She kept me informed at every single step of the way and went above on beyond in helping me handle the sale of the flat while living 250 miles away in the middle of a pandemic!
Finchley's succeeded on so many levels where other agents had failed. Not only securing a brilliant sale, but also restoring my faith in a lovely people who make up one hell of a team. The only disappointing part of the whole process is that now the sale has completed, I won't have to speak to these gorgeous people on a daily basis. Finchley's are a very well run agency, professional and friendly, They were considerate about our requirements and their efforts to build effective communication between me and landlord was very much appreciated. Unlike most agencies, they make an effort to be more personable and it made them very easy to talk to and it was great as a tenant to have an agent who felt like they were on your side.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone i know.

With the stresses and strains of finding a place and moving, Finchleys are the best of the bunch. They try to be as helpful as possible whilst not doing any of the usual funny business I've found in some of their competitors. They're reasonable and efficient. Highly recommended!

After sending them an email about my situation, Lucas called me first, to book me in for a viewing. As soon as he heard i’m romanian, he said he’ll send me the address, but never did. Few hours later ( at 3AM- the viewing was supose to be at 4AM ) , Angela called (probably not being aware where i’m from) and said she’ll send me the address. That never happened either. They called me 4:05 asking where i am and pretending they didn’t know I didn’t get my message on time.
They apologised and said they’ll give me a call today at 11AM to see the flat at 12AM. It’s 13:15 and i’m still waiting..
It seems like a complete joke, i’ve lost my whole day yesterday because of them.
I’ve been working in this country for years and to be treated like this only shows how horrible some human beings can be. I really hope karma gets them!

Terrible service. There is no communication at all. Whenever calling, they say they'll contact you later because the person you need to speak to is unavailable, but they never call you back. I have almost never gotten a reply to my emails. We were given wrong (and misleading) information several times and their mistakes were blamed on us since we are young, foreign students. We had to call Citizen Advice in order for them to actually do their job. Staff members can be rude and really unhelpful.

Working with Finchley estate agents has exceeded any of my expectations. All the staff have been amazing. I have been communicating with a member of the staff called jessica. . Right away Jessica was incredibly friendly , professional and so helpfully.

What a fantastic professional and honest service! We live abroad and thankfully found peace of mind with Adam at Finchleys. He has helped look after our rented property in London for over 4 years now and always found tenants when we have a room vacant without delay. DO NOT USE !!!! The agents at this company are extremely unhelpful 99.999% of the time, I had to call over 25 times to put a deposit down, constantly being ignored and told 'end of the day' 'by 4pm' just to be silenced. Agents always divert questions back to 'a college' who has apparently a wealth of knowledge which the agents don't have ? Even though that is their job ? All in all poor staff, uneducated in their field. The manager is ADAM rude and arogent, who seems to take pleasure and actually laugh at charging large fees. We had a 900£ fee on our deposit which was only communicated to us 6 weeks after we left (after calling every day to check where our money was). Do yourself a favor and just don't even get involved with these guys there are plenty of homes in London with much much MUCH better landlord and estate agents.

I have never received such outstanding service from any estate agent ever before! I had gone to every estate agent in Finchley and they all disregarded my urgency to find a flat that day. Raj, the Managing Director did everything he could to ensure that I had a place to go as I sat with my suitcases in his office. This may sound a bit extreme but I was literally homeless and he made sure he found me something in my price range on that very day! Thank you, thank you, thank you Raj! I will never forget how much you went out of your way!

Absolutely terrible. A certain Mr. Cohen misrepresented, i.e. wrongly assured me that he/Finchley's Estate Agents would be my first point of contact since my landlord was "an old man who could not manage the property any more". After nothing being done about a leaking roof, no answer from landlord, with all my belongings in one corner of the room over the Christmas and New Year period, I was simply asked by Finchley's whether I had "personal property insurance that could take care of it, no?!". In the end, I was forced to report the building (in the same building as Finchley's estate agent, coincidentally!) to the Health & Safety office of LB Barnet, which promptly responded and confirmed that the flat was unsafe and unfit to inhabit. Landlord sprung into action to repair, but after 30 days of inactivity, by which point it was too late. Finchley's estate agent did NOT HELP ONE BIT! Refused to even take my calls; I would pop in now and again, but no-one wanted to deal with the matter. I then had no choice but to take legal advice and Finchley's Estate Agents had no choice but to return my deposit (which they were disputing!). With help of a specialist property solicitor acting pro bono (meant no fees for me!), I was able to terminate the tenancy with immediate effect, due to the terrible condition of the flat. Forget the terrible customer service, Finchley's estate agents should never have had such a property in its books. I have informed all friends and family to STAY WELL AWAY from this local outfit!

I was extremely satisfied with the service I had from the manager and all the staff at Finchleys Estate Agents. We had given an instruction to let two of our flats to another agent for over 6 weeks without any success, but after we contacted Finchleys we had several offers within a week and got them both let at the asking rent.All the viewings and running around was done by the agents and all the legals were taken care of.Service with a smile!!
