In reference to my recent dealings with G&T Properties, I feel compelled to express my dissatisfaction with the overall experience. On the day of the viewing, I eagerly anticipated the opportunity to inspect a property that could potentially serve as a suitable location for the relocation of my business. Much to my disappointment, I had a series of enquiries that remained unanswered. I had to invest time conducting the necessary research and discover the solutions independently. Subsequent to my diligent research, I proceeded to submit an application in which requires a significant amount of time. Upon submitting my application, I was taken aback by an unexpected request for a payment of £250, which had not been previously disclosed. Enquiring about the nature of this charge, I was informed that it was an application fee for "referencing etc," in addition to the standard one month's rent and a five-week deposit. This was inadequately elucidated and I find this additional cost to be cunning. During the enquirment, I felt pressured into paying the fee as I was informed "other parties are interested so pay ASAP" or I'd be forfeiting the property if i did not act immediately. I acted immediately and paid the application fee. I then recieved information regarding the application process. I promptly decided to withdraw my interest as it felt invasive. I respectfully communicated my concerns regarding certain aspects of the service to the company's director as I was experiencing a sense of vulnerability. However, the matter did not receive any attention. I requested a refund of my application fee, as I was not satisfied with the service provided. I believe that no work had been done to justify the cost incurred. In fact, I was the one who had to complete all the necessary tasks. Yet, this was declined. I would like to bring to your attention a discrepancy between a statement on the company's website and their actual practices. The statement in question is "We guarantee no hidden or unexpected costs." However, this claim is not accurate. To justify the subpar quality of the work, I had been receiving invoices via email for two consecutive months for a request of payment for rent of the property I swiftly withdraw from. Utilizing the company's Redess scheme is meritless. It has come to my attention that G&T Properties, a company I once held in high regard, has engaged in questionable practices that appear to prioritize financial gain over fairness. Please exercise caution and avoid falling victim to their deceptive strategies. Resist any pressure to make financial commitments without careful consideration. The property for which I submitted an application for, still remains available on the market. I regret to have to write this negative review, as I generally prefer to focus on the positive aspects of companies. However, I am concerned that repetitively withholding an individuals money may not be the most effective strategy for enhancing your lifestyle.... Read more

What can I say about G&T properties? All the staff were outstanding from day one. No pushy sales for valuation just honest and knew what they were talking about. Every viewing they were on the phone arranging and keeping me informed. I went for viewing at property and my offer which was accepted. After the offer was accepted, I was advised to send over my personal documents (proof of funds, ID and proof of address) so that the property could be taken off the market. Whilst I was getting documents across, I had called in a couple of occasions, sometimes I never managed to get through and sometimes I was advised I'd receive a call back - however, I never received call backs on the same day. Just under a week later, I spoke to someone, I asked why the property was cash only and was informed it was because it was next to a mine. Shocking how this information was not advertised on the property advert, nor had I been advised of this at any point until I asked a question! After, I asked my mom to speak to them for me and then they sent across a diagram showing the location of the mine in proximity to the property. Misleading and I'd be cautious if dealing with this agent in the future. It's an estate agents responsibility to disclose information that would affect a buyer. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS IF INEXPERIENCED IN PROPERTY PURCHASE LIKE MYSELF.... Read more

Terrible experience renting with G&T. Lived at a property for 1 year and 9 months, and it was the worst renting experience I've ever had. Place was in poor condition though they claimed in the reports it was in good condition. Constantly had to pester them throughout the tenancy to fix things which they rarely did. At the end of the tenancy they tried to not only take our full deposit, but they also tried to take an excess of what was put down. Eventually it went to a dispute and guess what, we won and based on the report it's clear that G&T were really taking the p*ss and being unethical. G&T are a stingy company that will try and steal your deposit and don't support the tenants.... Read more

DO NOT USE! They’re cheap for a reason! Plenty of other estate agents to choose from who know exactly what they’re doing. Property did not have a carbon monoxide detector and they REFUSED to install one! Landlord REFUSED to replace white goods that were supposedly ‘gifted’ yet they were on the inventory and in the properties online description. Neither gas fire was working and they REFUSED to fix them. REFUSED to replace unsafe gas cooker with only one ring working. It did not even have a chain on attaching it to to the wall! How did it pass its initial gas safety check?! On getting the keys, the freezer was full of mouldy food that they REFUSED to empty and told the tenant it was their responsibility to clean out and dispose off. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!... Read more

Fast to take the rent but don’t want to sort any repairs on the property. The staff think they’re something special but they’re just pen pushers who ain’t got a clue. Over 5 months we had to beg them to remove the rubbish that was there before the property was taken on! Smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors were not fitted until I spoke to the council who then contacted them to get it sorted as it’s against the law. If you have any problems with these clowns your better off going to your local council because they dont want the work Im not a tenant but a family member is and how can you say that the review is false? Look at the pictures and look at the work that’s had to be carried out on the property when you look at the report of the house! Your company is shocking!! Now because I told you you’re all clowns and pen pushers I’m the one in the wrong? 5 MONTHS before you done what you promised before my family member moved in !! 5MONTHS to fix a broken roof which was leaking in to their bedroom but nothing was done until the council was involved ! I have unfortunately really bad and unprofessional experience and I have taken time to review so that they could improve their service. I would be honest, every time I called to book viewing of property to rent , it was pleasant, they would book and send confirmation, I viewed 4 properties with them, For the first one I didn’t go for applying, 2nd viewing was cancelled 10 minutes prior when I was on my way to view on a Saturday morning 1:30 hrs drive from my home, 3rd one I managed to view, sent application on the email address but no one ever got back to me( Very unprofessional) 4th one I cancelled by myself as i didn’t want to be with a company who have such a carefree attitude. Highly recommend Dean & the team who sorted us a lovely place to live! Friendly and welcoming every time we visited the office and the viewing for this place was amazing, we had a good natter with Mandy. Cloee was amazing keeping me up to date with our application through emails and phone calls! We are now happy and settled in our new home thanks to them. I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star !!! Absolutely disgusted with this place, they took £260 for application fees to be told a week later after constant ringing and getting fobbed off to be told we couldn't have the property due to us having a bad credit rating even though we explained this to them and was willing to pay 6 months rent upfront and was told that would be fine !! Then an hour later it has let agreed on the property we wanted which obviously means they took more than one applicant on!! The customer service is also shocking the way i got spoke to was appalling!! Don't go here find a property under a genuine letting agency, all this one wants is money that you can't get back !!... We sold our house through G&T Properties and I can honestly say I was blown away by the level of service we had from Dean and the girls in the shop. From the day we had the valuation we knew G&T Properties were the estate agent for us, we rang to book in photos and they managed to get us in the same day, the property was the live within 3 hours of Dean leaving our home resulting in viewings being booked in for the following weekend. We received feedback within 48 hours (both good feedback and no so good feedback) along with a request for a second viewing, unfortunately due to work commitments we couldn't do the time specified by the prospective buyer, Dean to the rescue, he did the viewing at 6:30pm and this resulted in a offer the next morning. Dean managed to negotiate the buyer up to full asking price and away we were. We found our dream house luckily through G&T Properties and the sale process began. Dean and his team kept us updated every week/2 weeks and even got us a discount for the solicitors to conduct the conveyancing. Phone last week to book a viewing. Booked it for the Monday and after giving all my details I asked to be sent the photos of the house to my email..a few days later 8 found another property which was also listed with G&T and when I phoned to book a viewing on the Monday after the 1st house I was told there was no viewing Booked, anyhow I rebooked the viewing and again asked to be sent the photos of both properties which they said they would do. Come Monday I get a call about 9am to remind me that I have a viewing booked at 10am which I knew so I went there at 9.55am waited for the agent to show up but nothing after 10 mins I phoned the office and was told that the agent was on her way and would be late after half an hour I phone back and ask how long for the agent and was told that he agent has already been there and gone. I was so fuming as I was parked right outside the property for the last 30 mins that then to be told that the agent has already been but since no1 was there she went. When i asked what car was she in i was told it was a white Peugeot, which I say drive past me and wait in the entrance for the school for a min and then drove off. I will say this company is very unprofessional and I will not be buying a house from them... Read more
