We saw a property we liked in ferndown and offered. Our offer was not accepted outright without giving us a chance to rethink the offer like the other agents did.emails back and forth no use. Saw the property had gone for a mere £1000 above our offer. The agent who showed us the property had already decided it was not to be given to us for some strange reason so I am not surprised. Also promised to keep their “ear on the ground “ to let us know if any other property came by in that area. Never heard from them again! Probably they have more clients they exclusively like to cater to so didn’t bother to with us. The property was a lovely one though so happy for whoever got it. But a big thumbs down for this estate agent unless you are one of those kind they wish to cater to. Helena... Read more

I've only ever left two other reviews online but I felt compelled to write this one as buying a new house is usually stressful, and thanks to Tim, this one wasn't. My experience was brilliant. Tim was super efficient, helping me in many ways, and I was the purchasers, not the seller. I've bought and sold a few houses over the years and Goadsby's was far better than any of the national chains. Tim made sure he was available and always took our calls or phoned back promptly. A real surprise to deal with a company that was so efficient, even in a pandemic! I'll definitely only use Goadsby's from now on.... Read more

We have tried to buy, let and sell through Goadsby but unfortunately nothing ever came from them. Letting the house should have been straightforward but we had no viewings through Goadsby but quite a few through other agents. Buying another property was painful with the team at Goadsby and it felt like we were causing a nuisance to the sellers we put in offers for and we didn't feel valued as customers. Selling our house was also non eventful. We had one viewing through Goadsby which didn't even go through as "they drove past and didn't like the road". Considering it was offset from the road in its own private pathway, I believe that this may have been a tactic from Goadsby. I have also tried to take off our property from Goadsby via email yet have received no confirmation. Highly disappointing service and won't reccomend to anyone.... Read more

** Edit ** 3 weeks later and no contact from the lettings team, no real surprise there! ** ** Edit ** 5 days later and no contact from the lettings team ** What a disappointing experience from the lettings team in Ferndown. We are landlords and wanted to change letting agents away from Goadsby to a more cost effective letting agents, which has halved our management fees. We gave Goadsby the opportunity to move on price, they were committed to maintaining their customer service levels and wanted to keep their margin, fair enough. The experience they have put us through over the last few months has failed on every level, even basic courtesy and customer service. Chris, the lettings manager has yet to call me back, I have lost count of the messages I left and emails I sent requesting a call. Chris 'made up' monetary amounts he 'felt' we were expected to pay but couldn't back it up contractually. He took too long to return the deposit to us, we very nearly missed the 30 days DPS registration. I have never dealt with such incompetence. The saddest part is, Goadsby, you have lost this customer for life. If we need to change agents again, or anyone asks us for a recommendation - then we will be steering well away from Goadsy. Entirely based on the experience you gave us when we decided to leave.... Read more

From first meeting Richard he was professional and reacted speedily to my initial contact. It was some months until the property could be put on the market but he kept in regular contact. When the property was eventually put on the market we were given a realistic valuation and the marketing information accurate with excellent photographs. The property had much attention in the first few weeks and a buyer found. During the sale period Richard was in regular contact and reassuring. I can highly recommend the team at Goadsby in Ferndown for their professionalism and expertise. They have been a pleasure to deal with, handling the sale of my late mother's property efficiently and with sensitivity. I did worry that I would need to travel backwards and forwards for viewings, but I needn't have been concerned - they have taken care of everything, holding a key for the property, showing it to prospective buyers and even signing it out to workmen, under instruction, so that maintenance could be carried out.
