Hamilton Chase was one of three estate agents we approached to sell a two-bedroom, two-bathroom garden flat in New Barnet. Of the three, Hamilton Chase stood out as being both realistic (to the vagaries of the housing market), yet acutely aware of the outstanding unique selling points of the large, private terrace and very quiet neighbourhood. Kevin Peters looked after us very well. Proactive, courteous and always professional, he responded quickly to our initial contact - and continued to manage the sale process through all stages with expertise and patience gained over many years in the business. We were unable to always be on hand during the sale process, and Kevin was especially helpful in 'minding' the property in our absence to make sure everything remained ship-shape and looking its best. Although 'above and beyond' is a cliche - and, in this case, an understatement - it nonetheless sums up Kevin's commitment to our sale, and we have no hesitation in recommending him and Hamilton Chase to anyone who is searching for a top-quality estate agent. Avoid this estate agents.
Been renting on 131 bells hill in barnet.
House full of mould on walls and windows and they won't do anything about this.
I also been waiting 3 years to get the oven fixed.
They only care about getting the money end of the month and increase rent every year.
I am currently on dispute with them as they won't give me back my deposit.
I'm not the first and I won't be the last having this issues.
Previously tenant as received only half of his deposit back.

I have been living in a building managed by Hamilton Chase for over two years now. A few months after moving in, rats appeared in the building. Since then, I have been consistently reporting every rat sighting in the building both on my own and through my landlord. The holes through which rats likely enter the building have not been repaired for many months. The agency has even stopped responding to reports, showing complete ignorance of the issue. Their professionalism is at zero level; I strongly do not recommend their services.

I have rented a property in Greater London through Hamilton Chase and they showed me pictures of fully functional wardrobe and oven while letting the property but instead provided broken items after contract sign off. Many times the wardrobe door fell over my head and my wife couldn't bake any stuff in their oven as it's only work at high settings. I had to leave the property before my contract end (30 September 2023). In my opinion, please don't give them a property to manage or rent out any of their property to save yourself from a huge disappointment.

Hamilton Chase property management services have been managing my block for the past few years. While other agents may avoid work, to minimize expense, Hamiltion Chase are good at identifying upkeep and maintenance that needs doing, to maintain and enhance the value and quality of the properties.
Especial compliments to Eve who manages our block - very hands-on, with regular site visits, and responds to emails fast.
Their fees were actually lower than the previous managing agents, so its worth at least enquiring for a quote.

Kevin helped me to sell my flat. He found the right buyer at the asking price. I strongly recommend him as he has the network of people to promote the property to the right person as well as he is very well known and familiar with the area and is able to correctly evaluate the property. Its more efficient to use Kevin for your sale than a high street big chain estate agency that overprice the properties and makes it difficult to sale.

We were recommended to use Hamilton Chase seven years ago to rent our flat, whilst we were living overseas. Beverley and Louise provided an outstanding service and nothing was ever too much trouble. So when we decided to sell our flat in 2021, calling Hamilton Chase to act on our behalf was the obvious choice, despite them not directly being in the area.

Needing family support for my 95 year old mother we reluctantly put the house, that we had been in for 63 years, on the market just before lockdown. Aged 70 and 95, female and absolute house-move novices we approached 4 estate agents and chose Hamilton Chase over the others because the agent (Kevin Peters) was realistic, professional, understanding of our situation and feelings and was not pushy. Lockdown brought its problems with almost 4 months of shielding before we were able to allow viewers and all along Kevin kept in touch and kept us informed of Rightmove hits and interest shown. Once viewings resumed we had no contact with any of the potential buyers and were able to trust Kevin’s experience and assessments. The house sold quickly and Kevin continued to be our liaison throughout the entire process. This agent was not an obvious choice as we were selling in north Finchley and Hamilton Chase are in Barnet; but as we were recommended by a friend and I worked on the basis that most people search on Right Move anyway. Am so glad we did - Kevin (the sales manager) could not have been more helpful - he was always ready to advise / always available for viewings (and second - even third viewings), he advised us when we weren't sure whether we should be accepting offers etc.
Then when we'd sold he 'held our hands' every step of the way - and when I got anxious he was calming. All of the staff we spoke to were professional and friendly.

My review relates to Julie Osborn as as the agent with whom I recently purchased through.
Julie is an amazing agent, professional and trustworthy. She is 1 of 3 (out of about 12) agents I have met through 3 months of property searching who can instill a level of trust in you that makes you confident in working with her. I think this in incredibly important as a buyer as well as a seller (although I cannot comment on the selling experience). I will not entertain working with people I do not trust regardless of how good the property is.
HC are a local agent and if Julie is representative of the whole agency then I would have no issues approaching Julie again when it comes to my turn to sell. She is a great asset to your business and her professionalism should be recognised.
She is absolutely tenacious in keeping you updated, often on a daily basis whilst managing even 3+ party chains with even liaising with mortgage advisors and solicitors. She is so efficient that she drove through completion far faster than a direct transaction without an agent.

My wife and I used Hamilton Chase to sell our flat, and chose them because they convinced us more than other agents that they would take a personal approach to our needs. Julie did a great job of keeping us up to date as our sale progressed, and was very good at following up with solicitors and the buyer (and us!) to ensure that all procedures were completed in a timely manner. Chris forms the other half of the double act with Julie and was also a delight: professional to work with and clearly a natural salesperson. In summary, we couldn't be happier with the service we received, from start to finish.

Julie and Hamilton Chase were recommended to me by a colleague at work to sell my property. Estate Agents, like solicitors, can often be mediocre and just "do their job" but Julie really did go the extra mile and well beyond her call of duty. She got me a fair price which resulted in many viewings and after that liaised between buyers and solicitors and always kept me promptly updated. She was proactive and worked away in the background without me having to instruct or chase. She understood my frustrations and did her utmost to get both buyer's and vendor's solicitors moving and prompting the buyers. But above all she is a very approachable and friendly person and one with whom it was a great pleasure to work. She has certainly raised the profile of Hamilton Chase!

Hamilton Chase is a local estate agent which really does go the extra mile. Julie and Chris were brilliant supporting me through the sale of my old home and the purchase of the my new one, constantly chasing things up, contacting the various people involved in the chain and always keeping me updated even on their days off. I have dealt with many Estate agents in London and have usually been disappointed with unprofessional practises and approaches. However with Hamilton Chase I have had the most positive and professional experience which has prompted me to leave a review. They helped me sell a property that was slightly unloved and not receiving much attention from buyers initially. Although I did not follow all their advice (due to budgetary constraints) they proactively marketed the property with enthusiasm until finding a buyer who was ready to move speedily and facilitated the whole process for both sides of the transaction through to completion. I received regular updates from Julie Osborne and Chris Dedman, and throughout the process it was a complete pleasure to deal with them both. I highly recommend them for all property matters in North London and hope they will open a Hertfordshire office soon as then we could do business again!

Hamilton Chase were wonderful agents, dealing with the letting of my property. I, as a new landlord, had no experience and HC took me by the hand and led me through the process every step of the way, which was wonderful for me, every t was crossed and i was dotted, all checks and verifications done professionally and no detail left undone.
Beverley, Louise and Soraya particularly were super helpful in every way and were happy to answer any question to assist and reassure.
