Firstly Dee (who has now left and is a big loss to Hamptons) was fantastic with us when conducting viewings and liaising with us throughout. Once our offer was accepted, Tania from the post-sales team was also fantastic, giving a great service and truly going above and beyond to liaise with a difficult chain and get the completion done, often going beyond her role to speak to people up and down the chain. Enquired for a property on station road. Got a call back from Jackie saying that she wanted more money that it was up for. Asked why it wasn't available at the price displayed and got told that the vendor wants more money. As the price had gone up before even arranging a viewing, who knows how much it would have gone up by! Politely declined and won't be taken advantage of like this

Hamptons nearly scored 5 stars and the service was generally first rate. The company, particularly, our main contact Eddie, put a lot of time and energy into ensuring that the house was set up correctly and that all the paperwork they needed from us was outlined clearly and in full. They also found a tenant very quickly and we really appreciate that.
We only scored them 4 stars because we had to deal with several different people at Hamptons and internal communication wasn't always effective. Consequently, we sometimes had to explain some things more than once and, on occasion, were sent information that was out of date.
That said, the staff was extremely thorough, offered very helpful advice and we would be very likely to use Hamptons again in the future.

My first experience with an estate agent looking for a flat to rent. awful experience from telling me quite rudely 'This area isn't for you with the budget you have' to refusing to show us places even though its advertised on their website. Thankfully every other estate agent in the area are AMAZING! definitely look around there are some beautiful flats that are affordable. My partner is local to the area and a business owner so its not like we were clueless when we approached Hamptons. Definitely check out Ashington Page and Tim Russ so friendly and not judgy!

I was initially slightly discouraged but the onerous looking contract and seemingly higher than average charges, but Hamptons have provided thoroughly professional and excellent service. I realised they are "reassuringly expensive", enabling them to provide the highest levels of service. The tenants they found were ideal (twice now), and every team member I have encountered has been at the top of their game and not a single ball has been dropped. This includes the initial sales contact and negotiations with Nicola, the photography and sales literature, viewings through Charlotte and Jackie and subsequent rental guidance and set up; support from Tuul and property management from Jana all excellent too. Jana's ongoing management has been exemplary and her communication ideal. All trades people appointed by the team have turned up on time and done exactly what was asked. Many thanks to all the team. We had 1 viewing only with Hamptons International which I carried out myself as they were not open on Sunday. The office blamed market conditions and the appearance of our house for not getting offers. We then had the photography re-done several times to try and make it more saleable. We were also told to lower the price considerably in line with other houses for sale in the area by 10% or so. They didn't provide a weekly update like some estate agents do. I had to chase for feedback. I had too much communication on the buying side from their other offices which was stressful and unpleasant and the homes suggested were over-priced and over-budget. It seemed we were made to feel we were at fault because our home didn't sell.

Our primary dealings were with Claire, but interacted with several members of the team including Sam, John and Sally - who were all an absolute pleasure to deal with. We always received good advice, regular emails and phone calls to keep us updated (very important to stay sane in a drawn out process...), and lots of help chasing up various people to make the sale go through. Great to deal with.Its very important to me that that letting and maintenance operate out of the same location, unlike some of their competitors..Genuinely try to sort issues when the arise.
Do a great job re letting the property when the need arises and have been a great help with less than flexible tenants (only really happened once).

Charlotte Rose from Hamptons was on hand all the time to give us advice and support, knowing our difficulties previously, she went far above and beyond what she had to do, helped us secure a lease at the lovely new property, the referencing process was painless, and once we moved into the new house Hamptons have been incredibly forthcoming offering help and support with anything we would need now we're in. So far it seems like the polar opposite of the experience we had before, and we couldn't be happier.

We used Hamptons International recently to find a rental property. I cannot recommend them enough. They were highly professional, efficient and friendly. We dealt with Charlotte Rose. She was a pleasure to deal with and always kept us up to date and had time for my many calls! She made the experience painless and gave us all the advise we needed. We recently let a property through Hamptons and we expected better from this well-known agency. A couple of problems arose when we moved in and these were not dealt with in a professional manner considering the high fees Hamptons charges. We are, however, happy with the approach from the management team.

Lisa and the team at Hampton's offer a truly fabulous service. They have been overwhelmingly friendly, efficient and informative. I'm new to the area and they made a real effort to point me in all the right directions. They didn't even blink when I had to l tell them that I'd locked myself out of the flat barefoot on a rainy day. Lisa was there in 10 minutes with both a smile and a spare set of keys. Not sure what else I could ask for really. 6 stars.
