I couldn't be more dissatisfied and disappointed that I chose Hamptons and stayed with them for nearly a year before property was sold. Being a client, the whole process was driven by the buyer and their demands and needs. Being in a chain it was really their call and responsibility to be the bridge for communication between the us and sellers and the buyers. On the day of completion I was hounded by Hamptons for 2 hours as soon as funds for the sale were released, despite everyone in the process involved being fully aware that we were on a CHAIN. It was morally and professionally so wrong. It was really the role where Hamptons needed to liaise and communicate with full clarity and confidence that keys would be released at the end of the completion for the full chain of sale and purchase. being fully ware of my circumstances doing a home move alone with a child, they were they only people who needed to represent my best interest and unfold some humanity and morality from the bottom of the chain to not dictate terms throughout the entire process of sale, but be reasonable. for the heavy agency fees levied by Hamptons, I truly regret that it really wasn't worth it, all in the end. I wish i chose another agent and saved over thousand of pounds in fees. For anyone looking to be in a chain, it is just so important to have agents who are experienced, and confident and always puts you ahead of everything. In the end, Hamptons worked hard on our behalf. There were hiccups, but then when are there none? They effected both sale and purchase for us, which, in the end, proved helpful. The agent's staff were usually polite and diligent with the odd lapse in communication. But in the end the results were good for everyone involved.... Read more
