We hired Highcastle Estates to assist me to find suitable tennant’s to lease my mother’s bungalow in Essex. Living in California made it very challenging, so I was very fortunate to be assigned Panay and Rica from this office that work extremely hard and to help us find excellent tenants to move in. Panay kept in constant contact with me via WhatsApp and guided us through the process, he was very professional and easy to communicate with. Being a landlord myself for 16 years
I can appreciate his efforts and work that goes into finding a suitable tennant for a home and I feel Panay checked all the boxes.

Letting agent didn’t show up to the viewing. I waited outside the flat with another prospective tenant for half an hour (she was booked in for the slot after me). We buzzed the flat multiple times & even called another branch (ours was closed) who said they were unable to help. I had left work early to attend this viewing & wasn’t impressed.
I was called the next day for viewing feedback (!). The lady on the phone was, to be fair, very apologetic & said she would book me in for another viewing. However, I never received any confirmation of this… I just gave up at that point.
I would avoid Highcastle in future.

My experience with Highcastle estates has been very positive. Panay took a lot of time to show us a property we were interested in and was very knowledgeable about the property. He knew about the neighbour, the area, the history of the house, etc. He was also very helpful in figuring out how expensive certain changes would be. Allround a very positive experience !

I passed through bad experience with this agency. I don't advise it .did viewing paid holding deposit and references and after waiting 3 weeks they cancelled my application. This put me through stressful situations as I have to move just wasted my time. And I have to start the process again with another agency and property

A complete lack of flexibility & understanding in not opening up any evening or weekend viewings which every other agent I have spoken to was more than happy to do! I requested to see a flat and was only given a 11-12 slot one day during the week, even though I explained many times that as a teacher I'll not be able to come out like that during the day at 11. So the only people they are opening up viewings to are those who can get time off during these days. week with no understanding for key workers or professionals such as teachers who work very hard and come out during the school day. I really wanted to see a flat and thus far have been denied a chance to see it very disappointeding indeed.

I gave this agency one star just because I wanted to share my nightmare experience with them. I live in a flat managed by this company and I called many times to ask for some maintenance works and not smalls ones, we had a terrible leek that has damaged completely the ceiling and that has affected even the electric system. This flat is not suitable to be rented and is constantly in need of maintenance. I leave one picture to prove how unprofessional and dangerous is this company. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this agency, especially the Stratford branch where the agent Sorina Surdu is located, because they will do their best not to return the deposit and will invoke any reason to the property just to keep the deposit. I regret having an experience with them and therefore I ask everyone who wants to rent from them not to do it because they will lose money !!

Avoid at all costs - negligent company that damage the properties they look after. Bad for renters and tenants.
We have spent 6 months trying to get the company to fix the drain which is flooding the cellar and the house next doors and they have done nothing despite having plumbers reports and tests to show the work that needs doing.
They ignore phone calls, ignore the request for complaints to be put in and are happy to allow damage to the properties they look after as well as leaving the tenants living in poor conditions.

Over the span of three days we tried to see one property and called numerous times but the agents were always “out of the building” and we were constantly met with the receptionist saying “we’ll get our colleagues to call you back” and never once received a call or email from them. Extremely unprofessional and poor communication. Poor time management and really slack agents who couldn’t even bother to send us a message or return a quick phone call. Really disappointed with the service of this agency.

Saying unprofessional is an understatement.
They have no control on the contractors and in the maintance, they booked an appointment with me 3 times in a row, i lost days at work because the agency claim it was an emergency and when the contractors finally showed up, they just did a quick test on the smoke detectors. The list should be really long, mould everywhere, roof leaking, the house incredibly dirty and cleaner every two weeks. No protected deposit, just to mention a few, at the end i lost part of the deposit after i literally call theme everyday. Avoid, has been an horrible experience. No i won't remove the review as Sorina and many people from highcaslte came in the property saying they took over sapphire. That's proven by the fact I've called you everyday to get the deposit back, deposit that was shortened without any direct explanation.

I must say I am impressed with Highcastle Estates. I have given my properties to local guaranteed rent agents before but have had a really bad experience, hence I didn’t want to go down that route. However, with the current pandemic, I felt it was the best solution for the vacant properties in my portfolio.
I contacted a few agents and I must say what impressed me most was that the thoroughness of their fire risk inspection which put my mind at ease. Ismail and Uwais were absolute gentlemen and made sure they picked up every small detail. The process from start to finish was so smooth and quick, the response times, and answering my queries thoroughly made me feel Highcastle Estates really know what they are doing.
I have given Highcastle Estates 13 of my properties all around London since the pandemic had started and my rent has always been on time, the property management team have always made sure that any maintenance issues have been resolved quickly at a fair cost and overall, it has given me a real calmness with how my portfolio has been handled.
