After a very disappointing experience with a local letting agent ( ridiculously low ball offers and continually bringing in people to our home who were never going to be able to afford it), we decided to spend the extra fee and try Foxtons out. Within 1 week we had an offer on our flat at a level close to ask. We exchanged 6 weeks later, and completed within 2 weeks. We interacted with 3 people continually at fixations, the negotiator, the senior negotiator, and the area manager. They all kept each other very well informed and so if one was out you could always pick up with one of the other two. Importantly, I got the sense that they were trying to represent all three sides ( buyer, seller and themselves)- as opposed to in it for a quick fee. Would recommend without reserve
Foxtons has professional surface and nice friendly agents, but predatory and expensive. Despite paying GBP440 for in commissions which is already at top of the market, they did their best to try to get more money out of me when I used the agreed break clause. I would not use then again. In general I can tell you that you guys are getting screwed in your so called 'free market'. Transaction cost are rampant and clearly favors the more informed agents/landlord. Not the signs of a well functioning market.
The team at Keaton's were extremely helpful when I recently purchased an investment property. They were happy to chase solicitors and sellers whenever it was needed. I would use them again.
Landlords, go next door!
Keatons have been nothing but useless with us from start to finish. The service they provided us was so appalling that we had to go with another agency at the end. Their competitors next door provided us with such an efficient service (at a way cheaper rate) that we really regretted having gone with them in the first place!!
Their agents are clueless. Their management team as they call it consists of one girl behind a computer who does everything wrong. We constantly had to get back to them and correct their mistakes. They even managed to lose our keys. Pure negligence.
They are only here to cash in, they don't care about anything else and they should be ashamed to charge what they charge given the service they provide.
We registered with Ben at Keatons and not having great experiences with agents we were hesitant. After explaining all our needs Ben sent my partner a few options that fit exactly what we were looking for, you rarely get properties that match with what you actually tell your agent what you're looking for, unfortunately we missed out on the property we offered on. We would recommend Stratford rent department to any of our friends in the area though.
I am single mother rented a property for two years from Keatons and never missed rent payment looked after the flat as I am mature and clean person after two years they said land lord decided to sell apartment and I should leave the flat. They harassed me with phone calls agent turning to the property without prior notice I felt intimidated specially when one time saw agent trying to open my flat with the copy they had their excuse was the knocked and no body answered,, till this day I am scared to open doors and have three locks, I found out that the land lord never sold flat they just increased rent and rented it to some family 35% more than what I used to pay. You are rubbish agents gangsters and criminals.
I have dealt with Jamie for a while now and am very impressed by his professional opinion and the feedback I receive on several of our properties, he regularly updates me and I would highly recommend!
Very professional estate agents, I was able to secure a property quickly and painlessly. I had quite a strict set of requirements and they were all met without a hitch. Will absolutely be using these guys in the future.

I'm taking this opportunity to add further comments to the already pathetic record of this agency. They recently applied to Newham council for a license to rent MY property; the flat above theirs. Presumably leaving the flat below unlicensed and illegally let... not insured... etc etc. I wonder how many other properties of theirs go unlicensed due to their incompetence. My previous comments: Catastrophic. Contracts not written correctly. Addresses confused causing confusion with utility bills and electoral roll home insurance. Repairs left undone for months; in one instance resulting in health & safety issues from blocked drains. Collective failure as more than 3 employees regularly give assurances that they don't meet. I'm aware I have to give a star to get this posted but really they don't deserve one. This is not a new problem. This collective failure has been going on for years. Owner of property adjoining one of their lettings.

Just a bunch of thieving criminals. When we were in the property rather than sorting problems they just tried to point the finger at us instead. This includes a gas leak in the property. Now we have been moved out and away from that hell hole it has been 2 years and they still haven't paid us back our deposit. I have spoken to the landlord, he told them to return the full deposit, they are ignoring him and us and just stealing our money.
They are a bunch of thieving criminals and need to be shut down.
