Discrimination against people on benefits
In reply to Ms Lopez Reply - liar. I get £32,000 a year in Armed forced pension, ESA, PIP and housing benefit. I enquired about a £800 a month flat (£800 x 30 =£24,000) and I also have 2 home owner guarantors, my sons. One earning 44k a year and the other earning 30k a year. Your firm replied that they would not even give me a viewing to said property unless I promised to pay 6 months rent up front, plus deposit, plus initial one month upfront.
I have every single email from your team stating that unless I pay this. You're a liar and your company discriminates against disabled veterans and those on benefits.

We met with 3 estate agents before putting our house on the market. We chose Hindhead as we found Louis to be passionate and know his stuff. He told us roughly the timescale it would take to find a buyer. And even with the sudden mortgage rise we still got a buyer in 6 weeks from it going online.
Louis gave us feedback from viewings and was in regular contact if we had questions.

What is the point in inviting someone to view a house, they ask for an application form then go through the whole process of sending ID etc for you to give the house to someone else without even considering us and allowing us to submit the application form for the landlord when it’s 3 hours into you opening on a Monday. Completely unfair! Should give everyone a chance and send the landlord applications all together instead of wasting peoples time.

Moving in and living there they were brilliant. Recently moved out to be told the owners want the flat to be repainted back to white..
Bought paint, rollers etc and drove there to do the painting. Walked into the flat and someone was fast asleep in the bedroom..!
Hindhead had taken a month rent from me and moved someone in half way through the month I had paid for.. The guy who my son and myself walked in on was frankly well upset and called the police. (quite rightly) and Hindhead still won't give me my deposit back in full even though they have been paid my month rent, the new tenant rent, the new tenant deposit and still have my deposit money..solicitor booked for next Tuesday so good luck to anyone who thinks of renting from them... Stay clear...!! I would be more than happy to amplify on any of the above.

I cannot speak highly enough of the service I have received whilst selling my flat through Hindhead. I have never come across an estate agency where the staff are so proactive in following up and chasing throughout the conveyance process. I never had to do it myself, because I knew that Louis and his team would be working hard on my behalf. My flat was well marketed and a buyer was found within days, excellent advice from Louis who knows the market and is so enthusiastic. When I chose to use Hindhead to sell my mother's house it was simply because they happened to be situated conveniently a twenty minute walk from where we were staying. I am delighted to say that had I spent 6 weeks looking for an Estate Agent I could not possibly have found a better one. Bearing in mind the entire operation took place first when we couldn't make it to Plymouth because of a family problem and later due to the dreaded Covid19 the whole thing could hardly have been more complicated. Louis and his marvellous team managed the situation with dedication, patience, friendliness and a complete understanding of their job and made what should have been a very stressful period seem (almost) straightforward. Don't look anywhere else, this is where you go to buy or sell a house in Plymouth.

I am an overseas landlord with two properties in the UK. I have been using Hindhead Property to let out my house in Plymouth for a few years now.
They have provided an excellent, consistent service; because of this I haven't felt I have needed to make the trip down to Plymouth to visit the property since I started using their services (I am provided with detailed photos of the entire property every year).
Even though I rarely meet the team in person, they are always in good spirits and provide a personal, friendly touch. Compared with the service provided by the letting agent for my other property (in another city), dealing with the Hindhead team is effortless.
A special thanks to Philippa who was the first contact at Hindhead for me and has been outstanding by keeping me informed when necessary yet not constantly contacting me for trivial matters. We first met the Hindhead team when looking for a house to buy in Peverell area. We stayed with them, using their local knowledge to find all the different tradespeople, which went well, and it was obvious that we should use Hindhead to find the right tenant and then manage the property for us. Since then, we continue to have the respect and confidence in Phillipa the Lettings Manager in particular. She runs a tight ship, all her team work hard and with long hours, always with great politeness and good humour.
There’s a lot can go wrong with Rentals, particularly with the older properties, and we’ve had our fair share of smoky ovens, leaky showers and such but these are always handled by Phillipa just about immediately and we are always kept informed on what’s going on. Stress free. Highly recommended.

Fantastic company. We have been using them for 3 years now and have 7 properties managed by them. The excellent team keeps our tenants happy with great communication and response rates. This keeps our tenants in for long periods of time. On the odd occasion that a tenant does give notice they have been great at keeping the voids to an absolute minimum by getting in new tenants very quickly.
We initially chose them after shopping around for the best rates for landlords and they have always exceeded expectation. The best estate agent in Plymouth.

I viewed many properties to buy with Hindhead each and every time Ti Bolt and the team were friendly, approachable, honest, highly knowledgeable on every property and turned up on time.
Seeing this professional approach first hand prompt me to sell one of my properties with them. The pictures and description Jess did were top drawer, really showing the true assets of the property.
My property had keen interest within hours of going live inturn sold within Two-Three weeks. They were honest with the buyer as well as me to my position with regards to when I could move out and into my onward chain, which meant there was no disappointment on either side hence sell going through smoothly.
Hindhead’s follow up was also great throughout this process. I have already recommended them to friends, family and clients.
In summary, I will personally be using them again in the future, I think this says it all.

We have found this independent agency to be superb in every way. Over the years we have bought and sold over sixteen houses and never, ever, had such help and support from any other agency. Please read all reviews on this estate agent. Be very careful of costs quoted. One agent will give you a low figure however they will try and give you a higher rate after agreeing a sale. They will then try and threaten you with court if you challenge them. Just some helpful advice so beware
