Truly one of the most awful experiences I have ever had to undertake. Unprofessional and lied too all through the whole buying process. Right up to four days before completing Hamptons still giving me mis-information. Couldn't for fill their promise. Simply awful. AVOID. Funny really as you have replied to this review within a day. If only you had been as responsive in your duties trying to sell a house. You have no idea who I am so how on earth can you respond with "we tried our best calling you" and "we kept you informed" and "it was higher up the chain" et cetera? Absolute bulls*** to the end I'm afraid. Don't lie, tell the truth. Tripadvisor has nearly 50% of the ratings for you as BAD. I guess they are all wrong also! What utter nonsense.... Read more

I recently sold my home with Hamptons in Alton, it was unusual property with separate lots of land. The advise I was given by Adam Masters was spot on and the service delivered was second to none. The house was sold for the full asking price after a sealed bid process. We had over 30 viewings many of which were high quality and resulted in offers. The transaction took a little longer to proceed to exchange than I hoped but Adam very patiently nursed the deal through despite some significant challenges due to a renegotiation of price. Hamptons Alton have a well deserved 5 star rating in my view and I’d happily recommend Adam Masters and his team to anyone moving home in the Alton area. I can't recommend Hamptons, Alton enough. They were fantastic from start to finish during what was a very complex move. Ben our advisor was absolutely brilliant and played a pivotal role in ensuring the deal went through. Estate Agents in general have a poor (sometimes justified) reputation. It was refreshing to deal with a company which bucks the trend. Hopefully this will be our last move for some time but when we do move again we will be using Hamptons for sure.... Read more

Outstanding, 5 stars, read how each star was awarded. We have viewed many houses and met with many estate agents. It's rare that you meet with an estate agent that one; knows the property from top to bottom; two, will do the up most to be available to show you the property again; three, be interested in the clients (us) potentially buying the property; four, keeps you informed; five, doesn't come across stereotypical of a standard estate agent with all the talk without any substance. We were well looked after by Hamptons (Ben was our agent). They showed us round as requested and were willing to let us have another couple of accompanied viewings, one with a tape measure after exchange. We liked the details provided of the propertyl and on completion day all went smoothly. I would defiinitely recommend them for buying or selling. The only reason I haven't given 5* is that the vendor would ideally have moved soonerand asked for an earlier completion date after I though a date had been agreed but before exchange , but all understood that due to our purchasers request for a original agreed date and a recent bereavement meaning it was impossible to bring the completion date to sooner, so we did have a longer than usual time between exchange and completion and we were not pressed on this once we asserted we needed to hold to this completion date.
