I had a few estate agents come out to see me and chose Barbers due to their professionalism, sensitive understanding of my situation and explaining everything clearly from the start. They really stood out above the others that had visited, and I was disappointed throughout the whole process.
The sale turned out to be a very complicated sale due to many issues we weren’t aware of initially,. Barbers supported me through the whole process. Matthew negotiated with the buyer instead of leaving it to the solicitors, which would have increased my legal costs, on many occasions. Overall a very drawn out, emotionally and stressful sale and I am so glad I chose Barbers to guide me through this. I felt they were by my side without having to ask. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Beth was fantastic, the amount of time and consideration she gave me and my wife made us feel so safe and valued. As first time buyers, taking this step was scary, but Beth made it so easy, clear and quick communication, tireless chasing of solicitors to make sure this sale was completed as soon as possible. During in a time of both solicitors causing issues, Beth kept on to them and made sure that any issues were sorted, she made sure to accommodate mine and my wife's every need, from viewings, to simple questions to easing worries on completion, she did everything for us. If you buy through Barbers and you have Beth handling your case, be sure you are in the safest possible hands.

Barbers did a brilliant job of selling my house. They found a buyer very quickly and accompanied me through the whole procedure that followed, ensuring that I was constantly kept informed and reassured. They were efficient and professional throughout but also warm, friendly and approachable. What might have been a traumatic experience was rendered painless!!

This was a difficult sale, handled exceptionally well by all concerned. Every staff member was polite, friendly, and helpful. Matthew from outset exceeded service expectations and was the most professional and thorough sales negotiator of the three companies we approached. Tracey did an amazing job in progressing the sale, and our onward purchase too. All other staff, including Bethan and Elizabeth, were excellent too. There is a good feeling of teamwork in the office. Our heartfelt thanks to the whole team.

I was treated really badly by the estate when viewing a house today, I was in the property for around 2 minutes to the point where i had to leave as the estate agent's customer service and overall attitude and presence was not someone i was looking to work with. I walked into the house and asked a few basic questions surrounding the house, for which i received answers such as "why would i know" or "i don't understand why you're asking so many questions" I was just trying to understand why the house was on for sale and also what the elements of the house are like, she then said "why would i waste my time asking the vendors these questions when you may not like the house." and i said "what if i do like the house and the questions i am asking you determines if i want to view again and offer." she then still decided to scoff at me asking questions. i then said i will leave this viewing here after 2 minutes of being in the property as her customer service was appalling, she was not welcoming or helpful at all, and when i was asking relevant questions she was in no position to say i'll confirm that with the office and get back to you but instead gave me rude replies. Buying a house is stressful enough and with the service i was provided with today has made me decide i will never view a house from barbers ever again as this experience as a whole was horrible, and they need to invest in some training in customer service if this is how they treat house viewers. utterly appalling.
update: 01/03/2024, after barbers said their director will contact me regarding this, its now been 5 days since that and i still haven't received any form of contact regarding how badly i have been treated. anyone who views from Barbers beware of Suzanne Fisher, worst customer service i have ever received.
i was clearly right when i said they need to invest in some customer service training and the lack of reply proves it.

I placed an offer on a property on 12th January 2024 with Bethan at Barbers Wellington and today completed within 7 weeks. They were always on the ball with answering my questions and sorting any issues quickly. Bethan was exceptional a credit to the Company

They are always warm and friendly whenever we are in contact.
Their experience and knowledge is invaluable to me as a landlord. I always feel as though my houses and tenants are in safe hands.

An outstanding firm - I cant recommend them enough. I sold through adifferent Estate Agentand bought through Barbers - very different experiences from acommunication perspective. I cant say I would sell and buy again in a hurry (nothing to do with Barbers) but if I was ever to embark on a move I would only consider Barbers for property sale or purchase.

The ladies at Barbers wellington were very helpful with virtual viewings and keeping in contact with me through the whole process. I’m moving 117miles away and they’ve been so understanding with the distance and very helpful with all the technicals behind it all as I’m only young and making a life changing move but I’m so glad it’s with this company.
