This review is a touch late, but I can't recommend and thank the whole Jackie Oliver team enough.
Not only did they work tirelessly to ensure our purchase went through, when we hit a delay, the team were able to pivot and help us find accommodation at very short notice. They were literal life savers!
I wanted to give a specific shout out to Andy, who brilliant throughout, and really guided us as we were first time buyers! Thank you Andy!

We’ve used Jackie Oliver twice now, once when we moved from Towcester as the local agent. We then actively sought to use them again when we moved from Brackley, so good were they the first time. Fraser is excellent at drawing up the details and the photos he takes are impeccable. Richard is so professional, pleasant and down to earth for the initial estimate and sales. Then Charlotte and Andy for after sales, both of whom are meticulous and efficient, and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.

Absolutely stay away. Made an offer on a property and all was accepted. After spending over £2k on legal and surveys The guys at Jackie Oliver fabricated a story that our chain was unstable. I then looked into this myself to find it was completely untrue only to find out they had got another buyer to come in and offer more on the property we were at contract stage with. After speaking with so many other estate agents we have been told this was completely bad practice and should not happen. I was also spoken to like a child for most part on the day they were essentially cutting us off. Apparently this is called "gazumped" a word I never heard of but after telling many other agents our experience with Jackie Oliver I now find myself writing a bad review, something I never do. I truly hope nobody else goes through this as of it costs a so much money, stress and anxiety for nothing . I am happy to provide any proof and inform anyone else who has or is looking to use this company so that the facts are clear.

We just moved out of the property we rented for 6 years through Jackie Oliver .
In this period the service was always of great quality . Communication was very good, prompt and friendly . Maintenance and any issues with the property were taken care of quickly .
After leaving, the deposit was paid back to us quickly and without arguing .
I would definitely use them again if I had to move back to the Towcester area .

while Frazer Dickens lettings department tried his best it seems as if the vendors ( landlords ) don't care about the equality act 2010 - church street blakesley stating that they may be a hazard to cattle ... odd as never off the lead and but also live on a farm anyway. shame he wasn't able to explain the below better and this is the stance taken. but he did try his best didn't waste my time hopefully some better clients come your way.
Under the Equality Act 2010, it is unlawful for landlords to refuse assistance dogs in rental properties, even if a landlord claims to operate a 'no pets rule' .
?
If a tenant is disabled, requiring an assistance dog that a landlord refuses, the landlord is acting unlawfully by failing to provide 'reasonable adjustment'

The most professional estate agents i have ever experienced! All the staff are knowledgeable, polite and helpful and you do truly get a sense that this is a team who are working hard for your sale. The viewings were executed to suit everyone and with detailed feedback afterwards.
Getting an offer is the first part of the process in selling a house - you find out about the agents post offer operations when you move into the conveyancing stage. Our process proved we chose wisely. Cannot recommend the entire Jackie Oliver team enough.

We have started off with Jackie Oliver 12 years ago - renting through them - since then we have sold 2 properties, the most recent one during lock-down. I highly recommend them - the entire team is very professional and you feel that it is their mission to help you to get moving. Rest assured your property will be represented in its best shape - the pictures and brochure will make your jaw drop. We had a buyer lined up almost immediately and at every stage we knew what is happening and they work around you even if you have a busy family life. Anyone looking to Rent/Let/ Sell or Buy in Towcester and surroundings - they should be your first choice! I had the sad task of selling my late Mother’s bungalow recently and have been delighted with the service I have received from all the staff at Jackie-Oliver. When Richard valued the property he had an excellent knowledge of the market values in the village. Everything was handled efficiently throughout the selling process and I was kept regularly informed of progress. They always answered any calls and emails promptly and dealt well with any problems that occurred during the sale.
All staff were friendly, polite and most of all very reassuring when I needed it most.

Over the years Jackie Oliver & Co have helped me sell two properties, buy one and more recently enabled me to rent a property for a short time. On each occasion their professionalism has been second to none. Whatever the situation, dealing with a property is at best challenging. Having the team at Jackie Oliver helping you every step of the way is incredibly reassuring. They will keep you updated. They will keep you informed. If they say they will call you - they will! Life with Covid, being locked up and being locked down, is another difficulty we could do without, be assured their offices are Covid safe. If you are looking at these reviews I will assume you are thinking of using their services. I would strongly suggest you don’t read any more, just contact them then you will be just as impressed as I am and all the other very happy Jackie Oliver customers.

I understand that certain details need to be collected from potential tenants and I'm used to answering the standard questions. However, I felt the additional, personal questions which this agency chooses to ask are very intrusive. These questions are asked in the very early stages, before you even get to see a video of the property, let alone a physical viewing.
Arranging a simple viewing was a very overcomplicated process. On my initial call with Richard Hedges I was asked very personal questions including what kind of relationship I had with my same-gender partner. At the end of the call, I was told that I would receive a video tour of the property. By the end of that day I hadn't had an update from Richard, so I had to chase the agency for a response. All of a sudden I was told the the relationship status with my same-gender partner had affected my application as we were being considered as 'sharers' and not a 'couple' or 'family unit' and therefore, would not be considered. Only when I insisted that a same-gender couple are not 'sharers' did Richard organise a viewing. However, the damage was already done and it was clearly used against us.
I find it unreasonable to answer this agencies additional questions regarding my relationship status at such an early stage.. After giving the names and address of the potential applicants, I was then specifically asked what sort of relationship we have with each other. The relationship status with a same-gender partner was then passed on to the potential landlord, to check if the landlord wanted to pursue, based purely on that detail. Interestingly, when a friend called with male/female names, their relationship status was not questioned.
I feel it is discriminatory that Jackie Oliver refuse to consider same-gender partners as a ‘couple’. I’m usually very discreet about my orientation and I don’t like having to publicise it here. However, I was forced into giving very personal details to Jackie Oliver only to have them use it against me. I’ve never experienced discrimination before and I’m truly shocked at the way I was treated by Richard Hedges. People should not be left feeling this way after dealing with an estate agent and it saddens me that there are still businesses like this that are so backward. Shame on you.
I have saved all correspondence and I will be getting in touch with Stonewall to report my experience with Jackie Oliver.

We were very very lucky this week, we exchanged contracts! In a very difficult chain. ???? The house we bought was being sold by Jackie Oliver & Co and whist there were no issues with our seller, they were brilliant ! We are 100%sure if it wasn’t for the fact Jackie Oliver & co and in particular ????Charlotte B/Berry????was involved we would not be writing this review today.
Charlotte was instrumental in getting the whole chain a result this week! We weren’t paying her or Jackie Oliver& co but we felt we should all have been chipping in!
We can honestly and without hesitation say if you are looking to sell choose this agent! We know if we ever sell again we will be using them! If you are looking to buy and it’s from Jackie Oliver you can rest assured they will work tirelessly to get the chain to completion. ( We are sure they are all fantastic but We would be asking for Charlotte)!

I was purchasing my first house just before lockdown happened. The mortgage market crashed and it was the most stressful time. I bought my first house with Jackie Oliver in 2014 and was thoroughly impressed with them. They swiftly negotiated with the seller to secure my property and the communication throughout was excellent, I never had to chase for information as it was always sent to me before I had even thought about it!
After buying another house and wanting to rent my first house out, my first port of call was Jackie Oliver. They are such a friendly team and Charlotte even remembered who I was from six years ago and which house I bought! They were able to advise me when the best time would be to have photographs taken and for the property to go up for let. Megan came out to the house to take photographs and phoned me at every stage of the process to let me know when it would be on their website etc. She advised me how much time I would need from moving out of one property to have it ready for new tenants and could not have helped me enough. As a first time landlord, no question ever seemed to small to ask and the team were always happy to assist in anyway they could, being very flexible with altering dates for appointments when our completion date on our new house changed. Their lettings rates are very reasonable compared to other estate agents and their approach is simple and clear which means no hidden costs involved which was a big win for me.
I can't fault the experience I have had with Jackie Oliver and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a small, friendly and personal team.

Bloomin brilliant!! As a buyer I wasn't paying any money to Jackie Oliver, but this didn't alter the level of service received. Buying and selling is stressful enough at the best of times, but Jackie Oliver came up trumps with information to ease the nerves long before our solicitor (who we were paying a lot of money to!) managed to tell us.
