I corresponded with Japan Letting Agency back in 2020 an Alex who was working there at the time responded but was very abrupt and quite rude, not at all what i expect from a company that would be handling my properties very unprofessional i would recommend finding a different agency especially if your intending to have your portfolio administered while you're aboard.... Its a pity i can't recommend Japan Letting Agency as being from a mixed Japanese background i really wanted to support a Japanese business but the service i received from JLA was unspeakably bad my queries were handled by an Alex but they didnt seem to care if i advertised my properties with them or not, so i took my business else where im now happily represented by Davies & Davies who actually care if my properties get rented rather than just caring about the commission.... Very but VERY unprofessional stuff! Mr Alex Saisho was the only person i talked with there and he is not such a good agent. Simply doesnt know how to talk with clients. I found their add on gumtree where it was written is private type of letting but its actually agency even when i asked he said private but its agency. One of my friends that was supposed to move in their property nicely asked mr Alex is it possible to view the flat and he answered him with “i dont think so”. What kind of answer is that!? Then the other thing that shocked me was after when agency said that removing beds (cos we have our owns) or any other item in flat is “too much of a job for them”. And not even once in any email while talking about flat with mr Alex, he wrote my name right. This is how much they respect their clients when he cant even write your name correctly. Just DONT EVER do anything with this agency. You will lose your money like i did £250, and you will be stressing cos you never know when are they finaly going to answer on your email. One email in day is usually maximum from them... Read more

Since I came to London this agent Japan Letting was the third letting agent I used, and Japan Letting was lowest fee agent! Yet their service, contracts (all the documents), changing utilities' names etc., was very good. Recommended! I was impressed they did business in a straight forward and honest way i.e. when the landlord let down our offer the manager refunded my holding deposit immediately. The worst, terrible service EVER!! The reason why we decided to use this company is to be able to exchange in Japanese and to expect a high level of service which is normally able to receive from Japanese companies. (I am a Japanese.) At first, they responded to our needs in a very respectful manner and they were seemed a reliable company. However, their attitude have steadily changed. Their corresponding to the handling with house equipments failure, the procedure of leasing a contract to vacate our room, and other requests which were related to the tenant, was very bad and far away from our expects. Therefore, we felt very uncomfortable and had a hard feeling while we dealt with them. Their responses took FOREVER to receive and they basically denied to accept their responsibility. They kept making excuses and saying WE are the one that caused problems, not them. All of things they have done is beyond our knowledge and could never happened in Japan. If you are concerning to use this company, PLEASE DO NOT!! You are going to waste your MONEY and TIME!!... Read more

I do not advise anybody to get involved with this agency as I have had a hugely unpleasant experience with them. To be honest I think once they have the tenants' money you and the tenant are the last thing they think of. Suffice to say I would steer VERY clear of these in the future.... Response from the owner in the last week "Our valued tenants' and landlords' well being are our top priority, I am sorry that you have experienced poor service. I would be very keen to find out how we could have served you better but I was not able to locate your account from the information provided. I would be very happy to look into this matter further, please ask to speak to the Lettings Manager if you wish to contact us."
