I cannot speak highly enough of the team at John D Wood's Belgravia branch - particularly Robert Lewis and Daniel Garnett. For various reasons it was a tricky situation which they handled with extraordinary skill. At the same time, they took the greatest possible care of me and all my anxieties. I felt cosseted by the team from the moment I put my house up for sale and then found the flat that I wanted to buy. Their advice was always spot on and nothing was too much trouble. The 14th of June, another person and myself made an offer with a holding deposit to rent a property in London Victoria-Pimlico. We went through the referencing process individually. Unfortunately I didn’t pass the reference check as I had a CCJ (that I wasn’t aware of it at all), therefore I obviously couldn’t declare so online. On the other hand, the other person, passed successfully and his salary was above the minimum required to pass the references. One of the agents called me (Ed) and informed me that the other person passed the references but I didn’t. He also said that I lied on my application… I never lied, I just wasn’t aware of it... (really disrespectful and unprofessional) It was a decision of the landlord not to accept the offer, even when one of us met all criteria. Furthermore, all my personal details have been used unprofessionally. Emails and phone calls mentioning myself and details about my personal situation has been sent over and personal information has been disclosed, again without my consent to the other person on the application. GDPR in this company is non-existent. Long story short, they made business with holding deposit. Holding Deposit is to secure the property but certainly not to make business with it. Please be really careful before making an offer with this agency. Finally we found a lovely property in Central London with a professional agency thanks God...... Read more

Jamie Marshall, the director of the Belgravia office, was one of five estate agent representatives who came to present to us. In a generally impressive group he stood out and his terms were competitive. Our judgement proved accurate because Jamie and his assistant Andrew gave us very good service. The flat sold within three weeks and when Covid19 complicated the situation and the winning bidder sought to reduce the price Jamie proved a source of wise advice. My wife and I were comfortable with his guidance throughout and grateful to have had him and Andrew with us.... Read more
