A great letting agency as long as your property manager is not Hugo Reeve. He is unresponsive, unreliable, and does not seem fit for his role. it took him 3 months to sort out a crucial repair that had to be done in our flat. It also took from September 2023 to June 2024 for him to find someone to get a bathroom hook replaced. Just one hook that took maybe 10 minutes to be installed. The property manager before him, Fay, was able to sort out issues within a day or two, she was amazing. Unfortunatley she moved to a different office. Our lease ended nearly two months ago and he has still not been able to send us our deposit back. It is extrememly unprofessional for a letting agency to hire someone with such a lack of skill and understanding, I hope that anyone that has him as their property manager is either a handyman or a lawyer as you will need both.

The team here worked very hard to sell our flat in a very challenging market. They found a buyer and handled the sale with grace and great knowledge. They helped us in sorting out some repair and renewal issues without overcharging us or doing anything to exploit the situation or trying to rip us off with high fees. They were especially good at staying in touch with us and our solicitor. I was very pleased with the work they did for us and I can recommend them.

I worked with Amy Small and Toby Nalder who helped me secure a flat in London while I was preparing to move from California. Amy was able to give me a virtual tour of the apartment and was great in getting the letting process started for me. Toby was my main point of contact for the remainder of the letting process, and he was extremely helpful and very responsive to all of my questions. Everything with my flat was sorted when I arrived in London, and any issues I had were resolved very quickly. I highly recommend letting from John D Wood, and I recommend working with Amy and Toby if you can!

Absolutely shocking experience. Very brief but negative encounter with Jenna Shakir who was extremely rude and unprofessional. She had arranged for photographers to come into our home to take photos. When we arrived home our flat had been rearranged with clothes thrown on the floor and valuables damaged. After reaching out to try to get her to solve the issue, Jenna initially agreed it was shocking and wrong and then a couple of days later went back on her word saying it’s nothing to do with her and our responsibility to sort out with a 3rd party photographer (which she arranged). Would not recommend trusting her or John D Wood with your property as a landlord or tenant.

We put the flat in Coleherne Rd on with JDW Earls Court in Jan 2021. They generated a great number of viewings with good feedback throughout. They were helpful with pricing in a difficult market (Covid etc.). We and they were up against the stamp duty holiday deadline at end July and just managed to get the sale through in time. We moved to London from the US, knowing where we wanted to live in London but not much more. We engaged a relocation agency to help us but their process and speed was not really working for us. I found a listing online that was represented by John D Wood and was contacted by Anne Battumur to schedule a viewing. When I met at the property in question with Anne, from the start she was very professional, courteous and engaging.
The property ended up not quite being the right fit for us but Anne had proactively already prepared a few other ones, based on the short conversation we had prior to the viewing, that were similar in style and close by and so we went to view those as well. All of them were very well aligned with what we sought, Anne clearly had listened and understood what our core wants were. One of the listings she had found was the perfect match for our wants and needs, and even though it was represented by another firm, Anne setup everything for us with that firm and agent and helped us secure the property at a great price. She also educated us on all the steps, nuances and details of the UK rental market and made the whole experience so easy and stress free for us. It was truly good fortune that led us to Anne, I don't think our home search as expats could have been made any better than what Anne delivered.

Having had my flat on the market for 9 or 10 months without success, I changed my agent to John D Wood and within a week Simon Hardie had found a buyer. The sale proved long and drawn out with endless questions and back and forth between solicitors. Simon was truly brilliant at guiding both the buyer and myself along the long road to completion day. He understood all the problems, had endless patience and was very attentive. Always returning calls and messages promptly, being constantly reassuring and positive when I sometimes felt very frustrated with the sale’s progress. We move into the Flat under John D Wood agency 10 days ago. I am quite comfortable with the service John D Wood supplied. Particularlly the staff Ms Anne Battumur. She is quite helpful and friendly with sortout all the problems we met during initial document processing for renting and later during move in. Fatastic experience with her fabulously service. In addition, the property Manager Marcel Schmidt take full responsibility to deal all the issues of the flat and take in time response to fix all the problems in the flat. Both of them are quite nice to us. Making us feel like stay at home.

Very biased towards the landlord if you want any of your deposit back - they tried to say I was responsible for issues that were already there and noted as present upon check-in. Fine for timely email correspondence but not only did I have them allow people into the flat without telling me or with my permission on several occasions. If they did tell me, they gave me less than 24 hours notice in advance and did nothing about it when I complained. Additionally, when asked to fix something it took a very long time to address the issue - if it was addressed at all (e.g. I asked upon moving in that they ask the building to fix my intercom and doorbell, which was supposed to be fixed within a few months. A year later, and I move out and it still wasn't fixed.)
I would highly advise against John D. Wood.

Awful service. Called them to market one of my flats on 12th July mid-afternoon twice and nobody bothered to answer. Decided to give them a 2nd chance. Called on 23rd July (Rosa?) and was told that I needed to speak to Will who was on a call but would call me back. Called back 2 hours later (Giselle?) and was told Will had stepped away from his desk but would call me back. It’s over a week now and I've had no call or message. But that’s OK as I’ll market my 7 local properties elsewhere that offers, at least, some basic customer service. I suggest this estate agent answers the phone and starts calling customers back. I also suggest Will’s manager has a word with him. I wonder how many other customers have taken their £££ elsewhere?

I would recommend John D Wood and WIlliam Miles in particular above any other Estate Agent. He showed patience, knowledge, diligence and good humour throughout a rather difficult sale. Anybody selling could no be in better hands. I would use them and him again without hesitation.

I was absolutely frustrated with the searching process at the moment I've met Craig. At that moment the challenge was not only to find it, but to move in within one week. Sounded unreal.. Thanks to Craig, it happened, even taking into account all the procedures you should complete to get your keys! I always have high expectations in terms of service level and he definitely got all 10 for all stages of the process!! He was ready to solve my questions even before 9am and after 6pm, which is great benefit when you are working hard. Made an appointment to view 6 properties, the agent showing us around did not verify this with any of the current tenants and he failed to mention this to me until i turned up to the appointment. We were able to see one out of six properties and then we had to leave suddenly as the current tenant was in the shower! complete waste of a morning and his only excuse was that he didnt write anything down!
I re-arranged the appointment for later in the week, when i turned up to this appointment he hadn't arranged picking up any keys and i saw no properties.
again he did not apologise but blamed me for wanting to come after work and during my work day.

I thought Faron Sutaria did a really good job when it came to selling my flat.. and Caterina in that office, went the extra mile in making sure the transaction progressed. At no point did she let it drift.
I was wondering whether you needed estate agents anymore, given that everything is on Rightmove anyway.. but it turns out they can make quite a difference.

Since the beginning of the process, advice and decisions were clear and more importantly realistic, illustrating an understanding of the needs as us the buyers, as well as market trends in the area.
Feedback was frequent and queries were swiftly and efficiently responded to. Keri and her team were attentive, they listened and queries were effectively responded to. They were hugely supportive during the final stages of exchange and completion.

I had a pleasure to use Faron Sutaria service when I was searching to rent my new apartment in London. I was attended by polite and extremely helpful Laura, who have screened their offerings in order to take me to selected places. Given my limited time and extensive travel they were flexible accommodate my time limitations to see these flats. Once I placed an offer Laura and the rest of team took care of all the formalities and a week later I was able to move into my newly rented flat, which was exactly in condition agreed with the Landlord.
I would recommend them strongly if you're in need to rent or buy! Good job Earl's Court team!
