I always enjoy nights at the O2 but generally because of whom I'm seeing, not the facility itself. For music gigs it's fine, as bars are open throughout, but for comedy, when the intermission is the only chance to get refreshments or use the bathroom (and of course everyone does) the bar and food service is simply too slow (fights nearly broke out on on occasion due to slow service) and it takes longer to queue for the toilet than it does to get into the venue itself.
The management have only a few things to get right, and fail to do so. Bear this in mind when visiting. If you can't smuggle your own refreshments (and a catheter) past security, at least consider booking seats near the exits for quick access to facilities.

If you want to see the biggest act - the The O2 is the only real choice in London.

Be warned the sound isn’t as good as it once was - the venue is so big most band touring sound system can’t cope - the echo from the back of the venue can be really distracting during quieter moments or when the performers are talking. When it first opening there was an in house sound system which was designed for the venue - and provided great sound for everyone - not just the sound desk.

Big plus point for me is they serve gluten free options in the food concessions.

Tip: the fastest way out is behind the stage and down the stairs used for the Sky Experience entrance.

Best seats are either side of the stage - and they are often released days before the event.

A very uniquely design place with all the restaurants just in one location. the most fascinating design is the decoration around the ticket machine and how each restaurant is located next to another at the indoor street within the O2. There is also a cinema and a bowling amusement park
the building outside is also very special.
there are people staying at the hotel, making sure the experience with this location unforgettable.

Easy to get there by tube just take the jubilee line and get off at Greenwich. The o2 is huge with plenty of restaurants and a few bars. My daughter went in the concert hall and said that the atmosphere was excellent. There was not a lot to see around the o2 so my wife and I went in to central London. When picking up my daughter it was well organised to get back on to the tube. Just remember the concert finished at 23.00 and the tube stops at 00.20 so if you have to change lines like we had to then you haven't got much time to play with.
