I had an absolutely horrific experience with Johns&Co letting agency, and I highly advise anyone to avoid them at all costs. From the moment I paid the holding deposit, the service went completely downhill.
Chante Scott, who was my main point of contact, was incredibly unprofessional. As soon as I paid the holding deposit, she stopped responding to my messages and emails altogether. I had to chase her constantly for updates, and even after being promised that my refund would be processed within 5 working days, it took a shocking 3 weeks. I was left in the dark, with no communication, and forced to follow up every single day. It was beyond frustrating.
What made the situation even worse was that I had to escalate it to the CEO and directors to get any movement. Their lack of urgency and utter disregard for customer service is appalling.
Michael, another staff member, wasn’t much better. His approach was just as unhelpful, and extremely rude and at no point did I feel that anyone at Johns&Co cared about resolving the issue promptly.
Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this agency. Their unprofessionalism, poor communication, and complete lack of accountability made this one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had. Zero stars if I could give them that!

TERRIBLE MANAGING AGENTS. Charge 10% for 0% service. In one year I had 4+ property managers, the place is a revolving door. No communication to landlord about any issues, I have caught them in lies multiple times. Sales team are equally poor. This agent survives on back-end relationships with new build developers, not service. AVOID

Sharing experience with John's&Co West Hampstead branch after getting 3 months service from them.
It was Jun'22, started 2 bedroom house???? or flat hunt. Contacted several agency. Unfortunately, none of them was useful.
Finally, a gentleman Mr. Daniel ???????from Johns&Co called me since I registered on their portal as well. He carefully asked my requirement & urgency and went away???????. I thought he will be the same as others. But this time, I was wrong. Next day, Mr. Daniel called me and scheduled a brand new flat ???? viewing within budget????. Timely, he helped me to see the flat and appraised about market situation and gave few tips and tricks on how to deal in this situation that was his extended support????. On spot, offered him and requested to proceed for next steps.
After getting decision from landlord????,
Mr. Daniel called me and told house ???? owner has accepted my offer and requested to proceed for documentation and complete the rest of formalities.
Mrs. Amy ?????????came in picture to help in documentation.
It was very smooth process and within a week, all the formalities completed with ????% per requirements and shifted in new house with family????
I appreciate Mr. Daniel ???? and his colleagues effort to get a house during house crisis. They have good people of team and responsible for different type of work (viewing, referencing, inventory check, accounting, property management etc.).

Worst service you can expect from estate agents. They make promises at the time of renting that are never honored. Please avoid them like the plague. Unfortunately, we are trapped in a 2 years contract with them. Wouldn’t wish that for anyone else.
Can’t think of a worse customer service experience than what I have experienced with their property managers - they just don’t do their job and are NEVER available to help with any issue with the property. Non existent work ethic.

I would like to express my heart felt thanks to Mr. Stephen Brown and Miss Amy Bridge from JOHNS&CO. Thank you so much for your swift actions in assisting me to complete all the necessary procedures in securing a brand new and lovely home in the Beaufort Park.
Mr. Stephen Brown is up till now the most efficient, hard working and helpful property negotiator I have ever met so far. In fact, he has successfully convinced me to rent the apartment that I saw the first time within few hours by using video call for actual tour of the unit and send me another detailed video that he filmed about the furnishing and electrical appliances provided plus the outdoor views as seen from the balcony. Moreover, Stephen even helped me out in using the computer to complete the forms and drafts that were necessary for me to secure tenancy of my desired apartment.
I'll definitely contact your company again if I finally decide to purchase an apartment in London later. Thank you all!

Having rented my flat for almost 5 years privately, I was recommended using Joseph as a local letting agent by a friend. He has been very helpful and supportive, particularly with some of the practical arrangements that are a little trickier as I no longer live locally. His sensible advice on what I should do to improve the flat for prospective tenants were appreciated. Amy in the office has been efficient and helpful supplying me with the paperwork. I would recommend Joseph and the team at Johns&Co.

No due diligence on the property they are marketing. Provided completely wrong information about parking facilities and ability to get residential parking permit from the council (which turned out to be untrue).
Don't believe anything they say - do thorough checks yourselves! In our case we had to talk to the council directly to find out that the residents in that block are not eligible for residential parking permits because the block marked as private land on the council maps meaning it comes with its own private parking which the marketed flat does not have and they misleadingly advise the applicants that they can apply for residential parking.

Dealt with Varun, who was an absolute life saver. Put an offer in on a 1st floor flat and the seller rejected all my offers. Thanks to Varun and his well established network he managed to put in contact with a seller selling the exact same flat but on a higher floor who was in the market to sell but hadn’t yet listed his property for sale. As a result I was able to get an offer accepted that both myself and the seller were happy with. Varun kept me informed the whole way and went above and beyond to make sure the sale went through and to help sort out any issues that arose, often times helping out with work that was outside of his duties as a sales manager.
I’m now in a flat that I love and this is pretty much all thanks to Varun and the team at John’s and Co.

Edit: Updating my review to reflect a really poor post-move experience. After an initially smooth moving experience, the J&C have spent over three months failing to address an issue that could classify the apartment 'uninhabitable' under the Homes Act 2019. This agent is supposed to offer premium service for high-end properties, but you can expect ignored emails and phone calls until you instruct a solicitor.
My first pleasant experience of a London agent. I worked with Aubrey in the West Hampstead office who was friendly and professional. He understood what I needed, was not pushy and super proactive on sharing updates and making sure I was happy.

I had a good experience buying a property through Johns & Co. Duncan Peacock was very responsive and made sure the whole process ran very smoothly dealing with the seller and solicitors, recommending a good decorator to furnish the flat and ensuring the smooth transition to the letting department. Within days of the purchase completion, the flat was rented out without any delay thanks to Matt Spencer.

He was also a really nice guy throughout, going beyond what is generally expected (e.g. agreeing to meet me with the key to the new flat outside of business hours so I could let the movers in on time). We recently signed a new tenancy and were searching with a number of agencies locally. We were really hopeful that which ever property we liked it would be via Aubrey as he was by far the most professional, knowledgeable and friendly agent that we had come across. I recently sold my house through Jonny at Johns & Co, West Hampstead. I had been trying (unsuccessfully) to sell my house for a while with local estate agents before Jonny was recommended to me. His 'old school' professionalism and especially his negotiating skills are outstanding. I knew he was always working to get me the best deal he could. I had the pleasure as a buyer of working with Jonny Miller and his team. From day 1 the transparency and partnership which Jonny demonstrated to me as a buyer was unique in my experience in terms of ensuring a fair outcome for both sides of the transaction with Jonny acting as a mediator on certain tricky points and facilitator with third parties when the deal almost became unstuck.
His level of professionalism and ability to speak from early morning to late in the evening (as I am based abroad) was hugely helpful and I would thoroughly recommend him to both family, friends and business associates.
