We had a really bad experience with this estate agent, so beware. We had an offer accepted on a property, Jerome did the usual of taking our ID, proof of deposit, agreement in principle etc and confirmed acceptance. Three weeks later our solicitor raised our attention to the fact that the sellers solicitor had yet to issue draft contracts. After another week I finally got hold of Jerome who confirmed that the seller wouldn't issue the draft contract until we had a confirmed mortgage offer on the property. I told Jerome that wasn't the normal sequence we were familiar with, but he assured me that was how sales progressed in his experience. We went back to our solicitor who advised us that they would indeed normally wait for draft contracts to be issued before proceeding with searches and surveys etc. So we gave the sellers solicitor a deadline before we would reconsider the offer. On the day of the deadline the seller issued a race contract and advised us that there was another interested party who's offer had also been accepted and the seller would exchange with the party which secured a mortgage offer first. I don't know whether Jerome was aware that the seller had accepted multiple offers when we had our conversation, but my instinct at the time told me he wasn't being open and honest about the sellers intentions. Called them on Friday shortly before 13:00 regarding a property I was really interested in, told I'd be called back after taking my name and number. No call Friday. Called again on Monday, told I'd be called again, no call again. It's now Wednesday and I've just been informed by a very helpful Freya, that the property has been taken off the market and is secured via deposit payment. A previous male member of staff whom I had spoken to on Monday (10:05 in the morning mind you, 35 minutes after their open time) had advised "when we've got another viewing, we'll give you a call back". Freya'd mentioned the viewing took place on Monday, so although I had called, I was not given an opportunity to view it whatsoever.... Read more

THIS AGENCY IS A BIG SCAM. DO NOT GO FOR THEM AS A TENANT. THEY JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY. I dealt with Harvey from the Ilford branch which is closed down.We put down a holding deposit of £350. The landlord pulled out from the offer as the house was not ready. Communication was cut after the money was taken. I was chasing him for a full week. Called, messaged and emailed him but nothing. Raised a fraud claim with the bank and I was informed THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY MONEY ON THEIR ACCOUNT. I DO NOT KNOW HOW THEY ARE OPERATING. I FOUND THEM ON ‘on the market’ WHICH IS CONCERNING BECAUSE THEY ARE SCAMMERS.... Read more

Great job Kurtis! Very Satisfied!! A special mention needs to go to Paul Quatremain, who did an absolutely fantastic job... Selling a house can be a very daunting process, however Paul continually went out of his way to help smooth things out (... even when he was off sick with flu, it didn’t stop him working on my case!)... Kurtis definitely went above and beyond his job on renting my property. 5 stars really isn’t enough to give it to him. Worst Estate Agents ever had, want to rate them without any star as they don't deserve a single one....don’t use them in any case…!!! Their Goodmayes, Ilford Branch took my £750.00 as holding deposit and didn’t even offered me the flat, for which I have given holding deposit to them. They have no professional administration/manners at all, they're only after your money??? after huge struggle I got some part of my money back but still lost the rest of my holding deposit and haven’t got a place to rent. I even emailed them and told them that I can sue them for this misconduct but no response, no refund at all???... Read more
