I dont understand why when using laurence Tremayne , they push dampco and encourage your buyer to use them, they are not an independent damp surveyor, but a damp company selling damp remedies. I dont see how suggesting this company helps with a sale at all . Or indeed why it is decided between the buyer and the estate agent, to use dampco , I can only think its to get a price reduction for the buyer. Also why 1 damp salesman to do a survey Which suggests 3 independent surveyors as they do not have an interested in selling you damp remedies. I read nothing is for free in the damp industry expect a huge quote !! I expect my sale to fall through next week due to this.... Read more

My experience so far has been absolutely awful, I have from day one of an offer going in been totally ignored, the buyer has had total say over everything, even phoning my damp guarantee company behind my back, and when not getting what they wanted threatening to blacken the companies name on social media. I was told the seller was king when my property was taken on! In reality the buyer has been king and tells my estate agent what to do, then I am made out to be at fault. I felt pushed into the offer as after being advised what my property was worth, the minute the offer came in within a day, I was told by Laurence , in reality people could get a bigger home for the price so no one else was interested. I have felt bullied by the buyer and no back up from the estate agent, its been allowed to continue and is still continuing. I have sold numerous homes this is by far my very worst experience....
