I dealt with the Daventry Office of H&H for my house sale and for my purchase. The marketing of my house was professional, it sold in just over 2 weeks and I feel H&H fees are fair. They also ensure that you have prompt feedback after every viewing. Clair has been lovely to deal with right from my initial interest through to completion. There have been numerous issues in my chain which unfortunately made the process a lot more lengthy and stressful than I was expecting, but Clair and in Clair's absence, Andy, did their best to push things along. Another home run for the H & H collections and payment team!
I have just completed my returns for the last year and it was really smooth as the guys in the collections and payments didnt miss a beat! Every payment matched every bank entry to the penny!
I only reconcile my property accounts once a year and the payment advices go straight to my Rents folder so I dont check them until tax reporting time. I have been working with H & H for over 10 years and every year they make the administration of my small portfolio really easy to manage.

Rang early last week to view a property. Was told to wait till weekend, did so. Then I was rang a couple of hours before to say it has been cancelled because vendor had an issue. Fair enough nothing estate agent can do.
Provisionally booked in for Wednesday, which is quite far away for a viewing. Was rang today to ask if I can do Thursday? As I had already explained I have funds available (all documents printed out ready for Saturday viewing) and I am looking to tie something up in that area ASAP, understand the property had an offer below marketed price. I had explained I was willing to go above if it was suitable on viewing. I decided that either the vendors or estate agent was not serious about selling this property so kindly expressed that I will not be viewing this property. Once I had said that I was met with and “okay, bye!” and phone put down. No apologies for wasting my time, no time given to see if there was any other properties suitable, no real bother at all.
I’ve sold two properties since August & would be mortified if my estate agents did that. In fact one buyer was recommended via a database of investors the estate agent had. This lady just put down the phone quite rudely when I was actually going to ring today to see if it was possible to view another property they've got and this one on Wednesday. After that experience I don’t think I’ll bother. There’s plenty on the market and as much as they don’t need (or seem to want) sales at the minute, people don’t need them as there is plenty on the market right now. Sellers be aware that this estate agent cares little about selling your property, they’ll get paid at the end of the month regardless.

We have recently sold our house through Daventry branch of Howkins and Harrison and should we be selling a house again we would choose them again.
Our first experience of H&H was as potential buyers with their Towcester branch. At that stage we were in contact with many various estate agents and what stood out for us was that people at H&H listened to you, which surprisingly was not the experience we had with many, many other estate agents.
We invited H&H for a valuation of our house and again the initial impression was that of listening to our priorities, giving honest and balanced advice and not promising the moon just to keep us sweet. So if this is an approach you look for from your estate agent - H&H are your people.
Next followed a period of viewings, and again - we were happy with the viewers H&H were sending, as our property seemed relevant to their criteria. We were not just getting views for the sake of getting viewing numbers.
Periodically we would discuss our selling strategy with H&H and we always felt that their advice was centred around our plans and our priorities. Don't get me wrong, I understand that estate agents are running a business and at the end of the day they want to sell your house because it generates income for their business. But at no point did we feel were being pushed to completely change our plans just to suit their business plans.
When it came to offers we were very happy with their advice, negotiation and communication. We are pretty certain that the buyers' experience was also that of professional and efficient approach.
Our overall experience is that you are dealing with intelligent, experienced and skilled business people who are also lovely to speak to.
We would recommend them and we would choose them again.

We are so glad that the house we are buying was being sold by Howkins and Harrison. We have been treated extremely professionally. The team of Jenny, Andy and Claire have been so sympathetic in our roller coaster plight of the moving lark! We have had a few things go wrong with our buyers and have had to sell our house 3 times. Selling a unique property like ours was always going to be difficult. The first serious offer came within the first week but unfortunately fell through. After numerous viewings and no firm offers, we had considered taking our house off the market, but Jenny convinced us that the price was right, the property was a viable seller and we should just hang on. Within a week the house was sold.

I’ve owned a rental property in Daventry for more than a decade, while living in the North of England. Hawkin’s & Harrison have always managed it competently and professionally. They couldn’t have made it easier to maintain the place from afar; always on top of anything that required doing, whilst keeping me well informed and seeking permission when necessary. Their management fee is very reasonable and they’ve been consistently responsive and helpful.
When it came to selling, it was never in doubt that they should handle the transaction and I’m equally grateful to the sales team - they secured a sale before we’d even finalised the brochure and their tenacity in making sure that everything kept ticking through was so much needed. Working full time, I wasn’t able to keep chasing the various parties, but H&H did it for me, which I really appreciated. Flawless services from both rental and sales team - highly recommended.

I have just sold a house in Daventry through the local Howkins & Harrison Branch and I have been extremely pleased with their service.
The staff [especially Jenny] have been very helpful, and as I asked them to take care of the whole thing, including viewings, and liaison with prospective buyers, it was completely hassle free for me.
I was kept informed all the way through, and with so much money involved, I appreciated the fact that my decisions could be made with the knowledgeable professional advice from the H & H team.

I cannot recommend this company enough. After years of renting and 2 house purchases I have dealt with many estate agents and non have been so helpful and honest. I felt like we were actually of interest and not just another customer to make money from. Everything was explained in an easy to understand manner and they went much further than any other estate agent I have dealt with.

We were looking for a property with quite a long list of very specific requirements and Jenny found us the perfect property. The sale did hit a number of problems, but Jenny kept in touch throughout and we were always informed of the situation. In addition, Jenny suggested a number of other properties for viewing whilst we were waiting. Not delivering on the their promises..
Promise to call back - but never did despite knowing it was an emergency.
Because of this my kid froze to the bone -
not a pleasant view watching your kid shivering like a crazy Britain's Got Talent candidate before just before performance.
Absolutely appalling customer service -
manifesting their We Don't Care attitude when it comes to a basic customer care when you need them.
