Richard & Joshua are absolutely amazing. Joshua was there from the very beginning of my purchase and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran as smoothly as possible. From the moment Richard began supporting my purchase everything improved. He selflessly supported me on a regular basis and made me feel as though my purchase was the only one he was handling (when it definitely wasn’t!). Having had a very negative experience with our previous estate agent we switched to Lauristons, and they delivered on every thing they promised.
Josh (Joshua Miller) was our allocated agent and he couldn’t have done more for us in terms of ensuring we had a quick and easy flat sale. Josh promptly replies to emails, calls, messages and kept us up to date with feedback from all viewings.
After months of tolerating a poor service from our previous estate agents after switching to Lauristons we had an offer and sold to the buyer within 2 weeks of moving over to them. I think that speaks for itself.

Update: what seemed to be a great experience is now having repercussions. My property wasn’t let in the way I was promised and have now been hit with a bill for something which should have been transferred to my tenant. Nearly a £1000 out of pocket. Be wary and check everything if you use Lauristons.

Rokas really took the time to find out which factors were most important to us, with our impending step up the property ladder. With the niche search criteria provided to Lauristons, from only 2 properties we viewed through Rokas, offers were made on both properties; and after some negotiation, one offer was quickly accepted.
Caspian is an extremely switched on agent and a pleasure to deal with.

The flat was DIRTY before we moved in. We have complained about it, the manager MANU said this flat wasn't clean so we won't need to pay for cleaning fee by the end of the tenancy. They deducted £250! Also, there are so many damages already there before we moved in, all evident in the report. they never send me check-out inventory, and just claimed £780 for damages for I DONT KNOW WHAT. They claimed for another £200 for redecoration, I don't even know what is this, the wall was never painted or put any nails. We have a nanny comes in 6 days a week and she is witness and she is doing domestic cleaning every day. We also hired a cleaner to come weekly because we have a BABY in the flat. This agent is lying and stealing. Previous they put my baby's life in danger, it took us 4 months to finally get them to remove the dangerous broken tilting wardrobe full of landlord's personal stuff. Now they are claiming £1400 for nothing. They don't even bother to show evidence just steal your money £1400 like that. Worst experience in my life, I wish I have never met them. They put my baby's life in danger and now wants to do public robbery.

Unethical agent. Stealing you £1400. When they PROMISED in the email, that we don't need to pay professional cleaning in the end of tenancy. They still deducted anyway. They are lying from the beginning to the end and put my baby's life in danger. The flat was NEVER CLEANED before we move in, as the inventory check states, I can send to whoever is interested. However, they STOLE 1400£ by charging us cleaning fee and redecoration fee and damage fee. I have the inventory report clearly states the flat was damaged, not cleaned and with marks. Before We had to write to MP, council, and finally sort it out, the manager Manu apologised and now when we checked out, they provided NO EVIDENCE at all and tried to STEAL £1400 from us. This is clearly a retaliation.

Unfortunately I have to register another terrible experience with an estate agency. The level of the service we have received has been embarrassing and incredibly poor, and when there are so much money involved plus the fees they charge, this is even more frustrating. Initially I was quite enthused by so many good reviews and confident we would've received a fair treatment, but apparently most of those are clearly fake, not real customers. I am an international professional in the B2C industry and I have lots of knowledge and experience on customer experience and service, and for sure this is another example of the worst kind ever.

Lauristons commissioned Express Signs to put up a for rent board outside our rental property. The boarding company severely damaged the head rail of the property, leaving it in pieces on the doorstep of the property, when they took the board down (and not telling us). Lauristons declined to accept any responsibility for the damage. If you are a Landlord, AVOID using them.
Update - Lauriston's comment below flies in the face of the facts:
There was no damage before the board was taken down; there was serious damage immediately after the board was taken down. This message was conveyed to Lauristons at the time. Any reasonable person would conclude that the head railing was damaged during the process of the board removal. Lauristons continue to deny any liability and have given us no help in this matter. I will never use them again.

Make sure you read about all the fees you have to pay before and after moving in. It's impossible for you to get the deposit back with all the unrealistic fees you'll have to pay at the end. Checkout fee and end of tenancy inspection fee? Aren't they the same? Yet, you're being charged over £150 to £200.
Please look into everything before you sign the contracts. They're all nice to you till you sign it but once you have, they forget your existence and take forever to respond or get something fixed.

The worst letting agency I have ever come across.
If you are looking for a professional, efficient, understanding and helpful letting agency, then Lauristons is not the letting agency for you and may I advice you to run the other way.. far far away.
There has been nothing but problems since moving in to the flat. Heavy mould and damp in the entire flat, excessive cold, no hot water in the taps. Upon informing the letting agency about these issues, the property manager told me that I should have identified these issues myself during my viewing and that it was my problem and my fault. Isn’t that something for reassurance that Lauristons cares for their tenants? The property manager is accusing the newly moved in tenant for pre-existing issues in the flat.
The flat is in such bad condition that I’ve had to contact the Environmental Health Department at the council in order to get Lauristons to take adequate actions with the problems in the flat.
On top of all of this, I have now been completely without heating in the flat for over a week in the middle of winter. I have sent numerous mails to Lauristons explaining that this of course is an urgent matter to sort out. The property manager has chosen to not answer my emails or completely ignoring to answer me back after promising to get in touch with me. This is considered a class 1 hazard according to UK regulations and is something that requires immediate action, yet here I am a week after reporting the issue without any answers as to when this will be repaired.
I certainly do not recommend Lauristons as a letting agency.

I was delighted with the service that Claire provided as our agent in Clapham Junction/Battersea. We were really eager to find just the right place, and Claire understood out requirements and even notified us when the property we were really disappointed to miss out on came back on the market.
She organised an efficient viewing and we relied on her great negotiations and positive relationship with the landlord to see that we were able to reach an agreement on the property we loved. Within a matter of hours we had signed and we are looking forward to continuing with our successful relationship with Lauristoms and with Claire.

I have bought and sold several properties over the years and the experience can be time consuming and very dull. Jonny came to value my property and gave me open and honest advice about the market and an accurate figure of my property value. It was on the market for no more than 2 weeks before we had several viewings and then were able to accept an offer. Jonny approached the whole process very professionally and made moving slightly less painful than normal. Great agent working with a great agency. Would definitely use Jonny in the future.

I cannot recommend Lauristons enough.
We were going through a rough patch as the flat we had an offer accepted on wasn't progressing, and the experience we had with that estate agency was awful. But Jonny and co at Lauristons were phenomenal; it took just 6 weeks from our offer on a new place to completion. He'd bend over backwards for us, was so friendly and knowledgeable, and helped make the whole process smooth.

I found Michael really helpful when discussing my flat sale. I was on the market with other agents, but it wasn't selling so I was considering a move to another agency. Michael came prepared with a proper strategy for how to sell my flat. The other agents did get my flat under offer on the last day of the contract, so I didn't end up being able to go with Lauristons, but Michael was always on hand for advice, and every time I've spoken with him he seems to genuinely care about my sale. He is pleasant, thoughtful, intelligent, and articulate, and next time I sell I will go with Lauristons.

I have to say that this estate agent must be the worst I have dealt with, from a pushy sales directer to the staff in the sales office changing more time than most change their underwear as soon as I learn someones name they have left. 3 times this year I have been told that people have left and gone to work elsewhere locally, I mean what are they doing to their staff?

A real driving force behind the 'wild west' opinion of estate agents that is so prevalent today in London,
Having found my perfect flat along with my girlfriend, (229A Eversleigh road SW11) we visited the office excited to make an offer and hand over £500 to the nice man who was willing to take it in order to secure our offer, unfortunately however the estate agents had been more concerned with taking our money than doing some research in to whether it would be possible or not for us to move in to our new home,
Following the falling apart of the offer, we were somewhat 'left int he lurch' with no flat to move in to and £500 pounds down, at first I was not stressed as i believed the money would be returned, and focused my efforts on finding another flat, although slightly downhearted, i was confident.
After extensive searching, we found the perfect place to live, in many ways better than the first flat, although slightly more expensive- we made the offer, filled int he forms, until wait, no we couldn't afford the money required to move in because LAURISTONS STILL KEPT HOLD OF OUR £500 POUNDS!!! 2 weeks later their extremely now rude manager (he was not so rude when he was taking it from us) now gets shirty with us on the phone when we dare enquire where our money is,
I feel truly let down and ripped off, and.... i now
A) am £500 down
B) dont have a place to move in to when my contract expires in 2 days
