    I do not normally write reviews but David Law of Foxtons has given Estates Agents a great name! He has been thoroughly honest in his opinion and valuation of my property and set realistic expectations about the current property market. If you considering selling or buying a home I cannot recommend him enough.

    I was looking for a flat when Dinyo from Foxtons gave me a couple of options and after a quick conversation over the phone he immediately knew what to show me. I was in a big hurry to find it and because of Dinyo I found it in a week. Actually, the first house he took me to was the one I ended up in. It was to get it as they had so many offers but he helped me out with the negotiations and was available to discuss any requests. Also, he was always smiling and super positive. Look for him if you're looking for the perfect flat.

    David was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to offer good competitive options within our budget, a pleasure to work with and especially helpful with regular, friendly and informative updates and information. Thanks for all you help. Very much appreciated.

    Terrible service once you've paid the fees. I've been moved into my property for almost a month now, I still do not have a key to my mailbox or working fire alarms. These are things Foxtons are supposed to have completed *before* we move in. They will not put any urgency on a mail key. I've told them I've just moved into the country and need to be able to receive mail in order to get a national insurance number, to get bank accounts and telephone, I need to provide proof of address for these things and I cannot receive mail to get any proof of address! They do not care, not even an apology, they will not ask the building management to cut a new key presumably because it will cost a few pounds, so they've been waiting for over a week for the previous tenant to come back from vacation to see if he has the key so they can get it for free. It is completely unacceptable. I will never occupy a place that is managed by Foxton's again.

    The only proper estate agent we found around, and we have been to a lot of them. Even though they were not able to find us the property we were looking for, they really respected our needs and did not try to boost up the budget nor try to convince us to change our needs! Definitely recommend this agent!

    Like a bunch of clowns running a circus. They lure you in by inviting you to sit in their nice fancy shop floor, offering you drinks and an informal chat with an estate agent who knows what hes talking about. From here on they just take and take. We signed a rent contract, paid one hell of a deposit and extortionate fee's - near £3000, on the condition that the house was cleaned professionally before we moved in. We were told we were lucky enough to have Foxtons managing our property for the landlord has he was overseas. We arrived on moving day to a nightmare that seemed to never end. Hottest day of the summer, 2pm - ferrying our belongings from a storage container, we were ecstatic to get in to a clean, completely fresh house and start unpacking. We knew that Foxton's had carried out one last complete check of the whole house so we had nothing to worry about ..... right?! It all started when we physically couldn't get in to the house with the keys that we had been given. In all fairness the estate agent did come out to us to assess the situation, but WITHOUT Foxtons set of keys. Still no further with getting in, he proceeded to fetch their set of keys for them not to work either. It seemed that the lock was broken and we needed to wait until 7pm for a locksmith to attend. We had no other choice but to continue to empty the storage container into our cars and bake in the days heat waiting for entry. When we did finally gain access to our new "home", we found it filthy. In fact, it was absolutely disgusting. Even though we didn't want to unpack a thing, or sleep anywhere, we had to reluctantly carry on bringing in our bags and boxes as nothing could be done about it at 8pm at night. The photographs of inside of the house from when we moved in make my skin crawl to this day. We sent them all to Foxtons, who did absolutely nothing with them and nothing about it. The following morning we expected Foxtons to be on the ball. But we were notified that a cleaner could not attend the property for a further three days. To top this off we also had no hot water, and were expected to have freezing cold showers for three days. We also had intermittent electricity and were not able to cook or keep any food in the fridge whatsoever. Having no relatives nearby or anyone we knew, meant that we spent a fortune eating out for the first week of our tenancy. The process of clearing out the house from previous tenants had clearly not happened at all and actually their leftover belongings had been stuffed into all of the cupboards, drawers and wardrobes. This was going to be another job to complete ourselves. For the first month, this house did not function as a home, and Foxtons had absolutely no urgency in dealing with any of it. I'm not sure where our £3,000 of estate agent fees ever went and more so, what it was for, been as they had no interest in sorting any of this out. To this very day, nobody from Foxton's has ever been inside the property to even put their eyes on all the issues we've had over the last eighteen months. Not even for inspections, which they arrange and then inform us that they have cancelled three days after the inspection was supposed to take place. The hot water issues continued for near to a year and only then was the boiler finally replaced. We've lived with horrific damp which continues to become a bigger issue. We've lived with various re-occuring and ongoing issues for nearly two years and in that space of time only ever recieved ONE email from our "property manager". Some property manager he is. And some estate agents they are. We thought we were lucky to have them managing the property as the landlord is overseas but we hear more from him than the men in shiny suits who sit in an office just down the road. A waste of so much money, and nothing ever back. Quite frankly, if it was a family of four living in our home with young children, they would have been able to take legal action and would have received compensation. It seems, as students, we have been taken for idiots.
