I rented with Rochford Stokes for a while and they were fantastic. They were all super friendly and an approachable. Renting through them and sorting a change of tenant was easy and seamless - a special shoutout to Anna and Suzie for organising this! We were tenants at a property managed by Rochford Stokes for nearly 12 years, and during all that time, the team at Rochford Stokes have been very helpful and efficient in dealing with any issue we faced with the property. In particular, when there was a need for a repair or replacement, they dealt with that quickly and effectively, by appointing one of their trusted contractors. When the tenancy finally came to an end, they helped us with the handover process and made sure that we received our deposit back from the DPS. We would strongly recommend Rochford Stokes, their professional yet friendly approach makes them an excellent property manager.

They were communicative throughout the entire process, with quick replies and helped liaise with our solicitors .

I have never written a review for an estate agent but I had to write this. I cannot express enough how amazing Rochford Stokes has been as our letting agent. Right since the day I viewed the property (the manager Jason actually waited for a while as I was running late and then later also dropped me off as I was in a rush between viewings, have never received such kindness from London estate agents). They go above and beyond to help you.
Their communication with us as tenants has been exceptionally good and considerate. We are only leaving the property as our landlords are selling the property. Even with the property sale, they have been so good to us and have treated us exceptionally well and not just like a number/tick box exercise as many estate agents in London do. Small things like keeping us updated at every stage, sending a Christmas card to us, and always understanding the tenant’s perspective while managing the landlord’s perspective speak volumes about their professionalism and dedication to providing the highest quality of customer service. Everything has been smooth and stress-free with them. In fact when we put an offer on the property, Jason never pressured us to bid more (like many agents do) and told us to put an offer we were comfortable with.
I cannot recommend Rochford Stokes highly enough. They make you feel valued as tenants which is quite rare in London. I would definitely come back to them when I look to buy a property in the near future.

What could I say ? They are very professional, reactive, always pleasant.
Jason was with us from day 1 until now. He knows us and the house, and it is the main difference with all the others estate agencies : Rocheford and Stockes is a local business so our interlocutor does not change every now and then, which is much appreciated and makes all the difference.

The team at Rochford Stokes deliver an exceptionally efficient, personable and hands-on letting service aimed at easing the burden on Landlords whilst providing tenants high quality accommodation.
For context I’ve been renting out flats in London for 12 years and suffered some pretty awful experiences with letting agents - taking a chunky percentage of rental income but seemingly still burdening me with the stress of property ownership? Following a personal recommendation I moved my Clapham property to Rochford Stokes last year - probably the wisest decision i’ve made in passive property investment yet.
From the very outset of my initial conversations with Rochford Stokes, Jason (x 2) and Anna have taken full control of my property. They offer balanced advice on how to position your property in the sector, in my case planning and executing an extensive refurbishment using reasonably priced contractors before swiftly securing a long-term tenancy. Now rented the team are initiative-led, with issues addressed swiftly and autonomously, only rarely requiring my direct input. Even activities I previously thought outside the scope of the lettings managing agent are effortlessly picked up and actioned. The end-end Rochford experience has made an enormous difference to my property ownership experience, removed all the stress as a passive investor and I genuinely couldn’t recommend them enough.
If you’re suffering from the same issues as I was and in need of a change in letting agent, do give one of the Jasons or Anna a call to discuss your options. You won’t regret it.

A RARE FIND in this cut throat industry where often you're treated just like a number with a lot of letting /sales agencies. If you're after a friendly, professional and knowledgeable Agency who have been in the business for a long time, then look no further. I have known Jason Carlon over 20 years when I first purchased a flat in Battersea. I went back to him at Rochford Stokes some 6 years ago in order to sell that same flat. He has extensive knowledge of the area and I wouldn't go anywhere else for buying/selling/renting in the area. Last year around this time, we were relocated to London and found ourselves right in the middle of a very competitive market without any experience. We were in panic and full of anxiety but Jason and Anna were there with full of patience, kindness and empathy. They just not helped us to find a flat, they also guided us through all referencing, inventory and moving-in processes. They even offered us their kind help in getting to know the neighborhood and purchasing furniture.
All in all, finding a letting in London is already very hard - especially in a new neighborhood. I am 100% sure that you need people like Jason and Anna by your side during this search. They are the ones to lean on with their clear communication, guidance, honesty and kindness in this hard quest. They are just the best agents as well as being the best neighbors too!

Jason Carlon was absolutely 5 stars all the way and Jason Galvin is an equal heavyweight, picking up super fast mid way if needed and delivering. These guys were the best I ever dealt (and the girls of course, notably Annie Yorke being 100% efficient and ruthless especially when she dealt directly with our conveyancing lawyers as they were not very responsive). I am so grateful that I chose Rochford Stokes to sell my property. There were numerous complexities concerning my flat sale and I really don't believe that any other estate agent would have had the knowledge or experience to have dealt with these. Throughout the process I had constant updates from Rochford Stokes who were always on hand for queries, moral support and any other concerns. The two Jasons were incredible and both went beyond their remit to chivy solicitors, third parties and provide solutions to a rather, long and protracted sale.
If you are looking for excellence I would recommend Rochford Stokes. My experience of both buying and selling is for me, stressful but so much easier when dealing with a competent and understanding estate agency that know what they are talking about. Thank goodness for Rochford Stokes.

Highly recommend! The Rochford Stokes team offered a fantastic service and I'd use them again in a heartbeat. Having struggled to sell my flat with some of the bigger high street names, I turned to Jason and Jason for a more personalised service and I couldn't have been happier. They gave me balanced, honest and objective advice on how to sell my property with lots of market data and stats so that I felt comfortable as to the price I was asking for. They managed the viewings so as to create competitive tension and I came away with a buyer at a great price.
The service throughout the process was brilliant. Both Jasons were available at all times and were helpful, very well informed and importantly, lovely to chat to. They took all of the hassle out of the process for me and went above and beyond to offer help and assistance wherever they could.

We recently purchased our first home through Rochford Stokes which, during the pandemic (and whilst frantically try to meet the stamp duty deadline) was an interesting experience on top of an already stressful process! We found Jason to be understanding, prompt and professional throughout our journey: from when we first viewed the property all the way to when we collected the keys. I can’t recommend Rochford Stokes highly enough. As beneficiaries of an estate, we had 4 properties that required selling quickly. One of which had been left high and dry by the previous well known estate agents and was outside Rochford Stokes’ area of operations. All properties were beset with issues - from being in poor condition to suffering from short leases. Thanks to Rochford Stokes refreshingly proactive approach, all problems were surmounted by the initiative and hard work shown by the estate agents and all properties found buyers at good prices and in record time.
Having spent some time in property development, I can honestly say that I’ve never come across harder working, more experienced and pleasant estate agents to deal with.

Selling a house (your home) is a stressful experience. Especially in this difficult times. We’ve recently sold ours with Rochford Stokes. Small but very experienced team has made it as easy and stress free as it could possibly be. They would always be there to answer any questions (even the silly ones) we would have. The checks on the applicants for the viewings were done thoroughly so no unnecessary visitors or wasted time. Also we were dealing with the same person from the beginning up to the completion so felt absolutely safe to leave or door key with him for the viewings. All the negotiations were handled professionally and we were kept up to date at all times. This is the standard of service all clients should expect and every agent aim to provide.

Best estate agents in London by far!
I was renting one of the properties they have been managing until recently and I must say everything from start to finish was a notch above any prior experience I had with agents in London.
From the first moment when I met Jason for a viewing, to settling in, to dealing with damage in the properties, to check out their behaviour was exemplary! (Big shout out to Anna and both Jasons)
The crew (for fixes, move-in/move-out, cleaning etc) which they work with are all highly professional as well, which was an added bonus.
I must emphasise that its not that they always took my side as a tenant as they also had to represent the interests of the landlord who was abroad, but I always felt that I was treating fairly which is all one should be asking for really.
If I ever need a property and particularly if I would every move out of London and would like my property to be managed and taken care of by an agent that respects both their clients and the work they do, this is the place I would go for, hands down!

I was looking for a property with my two friends and came across a lovely Rochford Stokes one in just the right area. They were very quick to respond about organising a viewing, checked on the day that I was still attending and turned up on time. Unfortunately it was over our budget but they kindly offered help in looking for any other possibilities and took the time to have a chat and see what else was available. A very efficient and personable team, unlike the majority of other agents who 'forget' to respond, respond with completely the wrong properties or are generally unhelpful!

Rochford Stokes have definitely changed my opinion of estate agents! They were so welcoming as soon as we walked in, and actually listened to what we needed. In fact, they found the perfect place for us on the same day! They are a breath of fresh air compared to the bigger companies, who are just clearly looking to meet targets. The communication has been top notch, dealing with any queries we’ve had promptly and succinctly.

I have used Rochford Stokes to rent my two flats in Clapham since 2014. Prior to this I had a bad experience with a large corporate estate agency chain where the staff were forever changing. The reason I used Rochford Stokes is that they were renting and managing the house next door to where my flats are and there was an issue that I needed resolving. As soon as I contacted them even though I wasn’t yet a client they were very responsive, courteous and professional which was very refreshing as my experience of dealing with estate agents wasn’t very good. I like the fact that I am dealing directly with the Directors and they always give me straight forward, honest advice which being very busy myself is invaluable. I can’t recommend highly enough and would give them more stars if I could.
