I’m not sure where to begin. My girlfriend called to inquire about rental properties, and she has a speech impediment and also stutters when she’s anxious. During the call, she could hear a young man laughing in the background while the agent tried to stifle his laughter. Eventually, my girlfriend became too anxious and hung up.
When I called to address this issue calmly, I was abruptly cut off. This experience reflects a troubling lack of professionalism within the company. I wish I had seen the reviews sooner. While I support giving young people opportunities, it’s crucial for businesses to provide proper training. Answering the phone should not be a platform for mockery.

I strongly advise avoiding this estate agency at all costs. The staff were completely unhelpful, unprofessional, and downright rude. My pregnant wife and I were trying to find a home, and when I called, I was greeted by a young man with a casual “yo” hardly the level of professionalism you’d expect. The way we were spoken to was unacceptable, and I find it hard to believe the positive reviews are genuine.
There are numerous things this agency has done wrong, but to keep it brief, I would recommend staying as far away from them as possible. There are plenty of other estate agents in the area that are far more reliable and professional definitely explore your options before considering this one.

I have been with Lifestyle for over 7 years and I would strongly recommend them as they have always been very prompt to reply to any email. My (multiple) queries were always met with knowledgeable answers and kindness. I also loved the fact they have very reliable and competitive traders in order to deal with maintenance. As I have been selling my house, Niall, in particular, has been helping me navigating all legal queries (even when it wasn't his job). It is with much regret I am leaving them (relocation down South) but with the warmest recommendation: you won't find a better team!

A huge shout out and thank you to Melanie and Niall at Lifestyle Sales and Lettings who have just helped us to sell our office building in Bury. They were so hands on, helpful, proactive and kept us fully informed of interest levels and viewings. I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done. We had previously put the sale in the hands of a larger estate agent! The service was nowhere near the same level and nothing materialised. If you want an estate who cares, and is actually working for you proactively – then you need to get in touch with the team at Lifestyle.

Rubbish from start to finish. Most unprofessional estate agency around. Melanie couldn’t organise a day session in a brewery. Also very rude to my pregnant fiancé, all she wanted was a view of Tesco from her apparent. Very disappoint.

Lifestyle have recently arranged the letting of our property and are now our managing agents.
The pre letting appraisal provided realistic advice in the present climate and a high level of interest was received immediately. The advertisement and photographs portrayed a warm and welcoming reflection of the home and its village location. An excellent tenant seems to have been found and all formalities have been handled efficiently and executed fully.
We highly recommend the agency which has provided a personal and professional service.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Giving one star would prefer to give minus, staff are very rude and ignorant.
Unwilling to help and wont repair problems on the property eg. Suffered 2 month due boiler issue, Water leakage in the on suite bathroom- we were suffering few months. Then water leakage from up stairs, there were risk of electrical shock. No one cares from this agents.
THIS IS THE MAIN REASON WE LEFT THE FLAT.
Finally claimed all our deposit for flat repairs, only got 50 £ back.
I repeat AVOID AT ALL COSTS as you wont get your Deposit money back. This poor agents trying to recover there rent from tenants deposit as struggling to find tenants over few months????????

I'm extremely disappointed. The toilet's pipe was broken, the walls have holes by which mice can enter, there's a huge damp problem, & more issues since I've recently occupied a flat. Despite all, Callum Luke Burton, maintenance coordinator, has not fixed it. I've written them asking for the walls to be fixed ASAP since mice were trying to enter my room from the external wall. Having reported it 5 weeks ago, Callum's answer shows his lack of professionalism, consideration, & respect for a client living in such deplorable circumstances. I've been paying my rent on time but they're not doing their job.

My elderly mother and her partner have rented a two bedroom apartment in Chorley for the past 11 years. Lifestyle Sales & Lettings have administered the property on behalf of the owner and the services provided by Lifestyle have been. very good throughout the rental period. Any issues arising with the property were promptly dealt with. Unfortunately the time has now come where the tenants are having to vacate the property due to them needing a more supported/care living package. The tenants cannot thank Lifestyle and the owner enough for how they have managed the property during the period of the tenancy. I have been the conduit between the tenants and Lifestyle and I would have no hesitation in recommending Lifestyle to any potential person who is looking to rent through a professional letting agency.

Having dealt with other agencies in the past, I cannot commend Lifestyle Sales and Lettings highly enough.
From our first phone call, to being shown the property, we were bowled over with how friendly, efficient and helpful they were.
From seeing the property we wanted online, to viewing it, filling out all the paperwork and processing all of the required checks, to moving in, the whole process took less than two days, which to my mind is absolutely unheard of, and only made possible by the dedication and wonderful communication of the team, who bent over backwards to get everything processed as quickly and smoothly as possible for us. They were easily available for queries at any time of day or night, pleasant and friendly, ruthlessly efficient, and still found time for some lovely extra touches, such as a 'welcome to your new home' box on taking the property up, filled with thoughtful things like tea and coffee, toys for the children and a lovely card.
In a competitive market, these little touches make all the difference, and I wouldn't reccomend anyone else now. Wonderful service both initially, and ongoing as tenants whenever we have had an issue or query. I cannot sing their praises highly enough.
Special consideration must go to Henry Thomas, who has been our main point of contact since our first enquiry, and has provided a constant touchstone for any further issues of queries. The perfect combination of efficient, available at the drop of a hat, super-quick to respond to any question, and with a friendly personality that makes you feel more like you're talking to an old friend than a business contact.
Henry (and the rest of the team by extension) has been faultless, and it's a breath of fresh air in a sector where tenants can sometimes find agents either difficult to contact, slow to respond, or problematic to deal with. He's a wonderful example of the priorities of Lifestyle Sales and Lettings, which, across the board, are to treat all clients as priorities and to bend over backwards to get lettings processed in record time, and ensure that any issues that might arise thereafter are dealt with swiftly and efficiently.
After dealing with both Henry and other members of the team, it's the only agency I would be happy recommending family and friends to in future.

We put our house up for sale with Lifestyle in November 2021. Everything was really simple and easy, Melanie and Niall kept us up to date with appointment times etc and provided us with feedback from our viewings. We’ve had a bit of a mad rush to complete in a really short time frame but everyone has gone out of their way to accommodate us, and they even found us a rental property for us to move into while our new build is being built. They really went above and beyond for us and we’re really grateful.

They currently manage a rental property for me and have just sold another property for me . From start to finish they have been superb and thoroughly professional , easily contactable and very responsive. Rang a few weeks ago, nobody returned my call about a rental property. Rang again today and was told both properties had gone, although 1 still showing on 'Rightmove'. When I said about ringing 3 weeks ago and was disappointed no-one had returned my call, the person I spoke to gave an insincere apology. Find this very unprofessional and certainly lacking customer service skills. Didn't even ask for details incase anything else came on to their books. Will be avoiding this company in the future.

In my professional opinion there isn't a better property letting agency in the North West of the UK... Lifestyle are not only the most professional letting agency I have dealt with regarding managing my commercial property but this agency goes way beyond the call of duty to to help put your mind at ease with a personal attentive manner when you have tennents to be managed with either commercial or residential.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Melanie and her team to anyone thinking of wanting peace of mind whilst having their property managed for you.

Very Rude Staff.
As a tenant calling to notify the landlord of a structural issue with the roof of property, I was surprised at the mocking and condescending attitude of Henry Thomas, who was particularly unhelpful, obstructive and needlessly rude.
During two separate attempts to report the issue, this individual point blank refused to log the issue and pass the information on to the landlord unless photographs of the roof could be provided, which I explained could not.
Obviously such an issue will only worsen through the winter and ultimately cost the landlord a lot more £££ to fix!
All in all, this company failed in their duty of care to both tenant and landlord. Not good for a lettings specialist...

My partner as done work ie plastering for lifestyle and found the owner and staff to be pleasant and well understanding to what needed doing on the work needed whilst working with them. Five stars and a great business to do work for. Regards opus building service

Exceptionally rude staff, exceptionally unprofessional, don't resolve problems, don't respond to messages and literally do not care. If you are a tenant then I would seriously consider looking elsewhere for a property through another agent. The only time I have every had any efficiency from this company is on the day my rent was due-the direct debit payment had left my bank account as always, but due to an error with their own bank account they didn't receive it. On the day of rent being due, by 3 o'clock I had received 2 nasty messages, one voicemail and one email saying I was now in 'rent arrears'. I was treated like a common criminal, despite me never ever missing a rent payment or paying a second late. When I rang them there was never any apology or acceptance that it was a fault on their side, just treated me like I was dirt on their shoe.

We have been carrying out work for Lifestyle Lettings for almost 12 months now. As a company we pride ourselves on providing a timely and efficient plumbing and heating service to both private individuals and tenants. It is therefore important to us that we work with companies that have the same aims and work ethic as us. We find the staff at Lifestyle Lettings both professional and friendly. They send jobs through to us using their system and we then take over and use our systems for contacting tenants and booking our engineers in for repairs. We find the team communicate quickly with us on job go ahead and turnaround. In a fast paced and often stressful industry we find it's important that our customers are working on the same wavelength as us and that is certainly what we have found with the team at Lifestyle. Would highly recommend them to any future landlords and tenants.

I can honestly say we have had no problems with Lifestyle letting agents in the 5 years we've been renting from them they have always been prompt to repair anything we've needed from kitchen cupboards to toilets etc wed totally recommended them we've had some bad agency's to rent off in the past one of them Hyde and Partners excellent service and very polite

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Giving one star would prefer to give minus, staff are very rude and ignorant. Unwilling to help and wont repair problems on the property eg. central heating and hot water in middle of winter took 3 to 4 weeks to repair the boiler and still wasn't fully working due to pressure loss. Complaints about grass being long when was cut 2 days beforehand. Wont receive bond on leaving the property due to pathetic standards of furniture marks on 12 year old carpets and flooring. Also let themselves into the property and then deny that the have stepped foot inside even when tenants are in. I repeat AVOID AT ALL COSTS as you wont get your money back and be waiting months sometimes years for repairs!!

Stay away from this company at all costs. They used my direct quotes without my permission in there adverts. The Landlord let himself in to our apartment with no notice or permission. One staff member in particular is absolutely atrocious in his attitude.
