We purchased a property through Lock & Key. We were directly dealing with Julie, who was very friendly and informative throughout. Julie was very knowledgeable and willing to adapt around us. We had a very long purchase, which was frustrating for us, but Julie handled this brilliantly and kindly put up with our weekly emails! I was slightly gutted that we didn't get a welcome pack or picture taken as this was our first time buying and I would have loved a picture with the team, but that's not important, and I figured maybe this is not on every purchase. Staff are very friendly and approachable. I really want to thank Julie for all her hard work.

We secured an offer for our property around a week after listing it with Lock & Key.
We'd had a terrible time with another estate agent and so, after seeing Nigel's passionate videos that he creates for each property he markets, we invited him to assess our property.
Nigel is as enthusiastic in person as he is on his videos. He's extremely knowledgeable and professional but also very friendly. After he he'd had a wander around our home, he explained how the house and location fit into the local property market and suggested a realistic value which was fortunately quite close to our expectations.
The contract was very straight forward and Nigel clearly highlighted and explained anything important to us as well as setting our mind at ease about some of our concerns.
The video he subsequently created really did not disappoint and showed off our home perfectly, highlighting the high standard of finish and many of the positive aspects of our house. All this with Nigel's effusive commentary.
Within the first week, Nigel and team had arranged three viewings which was fabulous (especially considering we'd not had a sniff of a viewing with the previous agent). Alicia, who is absolutely lovely, obviously did an incredible job of showing the property as the couple from the third appointment made an offer that we were happy with.
Since then, the team from Lock & Key have been in regular contact with us, making sure we're happy with how the process is moving along.
Needless to say, we are very happy with the level of service that we've had from Nigel, Alicia and the rest of the team at Lock & Key and would absolutely recommend them if you are planning to sell your home.

I can only say that my experience with Nigel, Julie and the lock and Key team was excellent. Nigel communicated brilliantly from the first phone call, arranging a visit to provide a valuation. His insight and industry knowledge meant the property was marketed quickly. The pricing was spot on and the advert/marketing of our house was perfect. This can be qualified by the fact it was listed within 24 hrs of meeting Nigel and sold in under 12 hours of the advert and video being posted. Viewings completed by the lovely Julie.
The team are a winning combination and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Should be 6 stars.

Our house went on the market within 24 hours of his visit. The brocure details expanded fully on areas and aspects of the property previously poorly covered. If I had a chance I would put 0 stars. I viewed a property and advised I would be in touch. At 8:45AM the next day Nigel called me! Whilst I was getting ready I asked my partner to talk to him. I witnessed and took part in the whole conversation. Nigel claimed my partner was rude to him. This was not true. Nigel seems like a big child and a bully. I cannot understand why he spoke to us in that manner. The property is still on the market and I would have put an offer in to purchase it. Stay away. This guy is extremely unprofessional. For his rudeness he’s lost a sale.

Don’t deal with Nige unless you’re willing to be disappointed. In my opinion he is rude, unprofessional and not interested in helping you unless it benefits him. Of course I might be wrong, but judging from what I have subsequently heard, I’m probably not.
On the other hand, his assistant Julie is great. She is professional and friendly, so it’s not all bad.

First class communication and customer service. As first time buyers, everything was very daunting and Julie and Nigel made it smooth, easy and more exciting than apprehensive. I am currently looking to buy a property of behalf of my elderly parents. I tried to book a viewing for a property new to the market in Whitley, but was told by Nigel that he would not show me round unless my parents were with me. As they are both in their 90’s and live 2 ½ hours’ drive away, I explained that this would not be possible. My parents have requested that I find a property for them and for me to deal with it on their behalf. I explained this to Nigel, but he was adamant, however, that I could not do this. When I questioned why, as other agents do not adopt this policy, he said it was because he ‘had strict protocols’. I’m not really sure what this meant, but found this rather insulting to his fellow Estate Agents. I found Nigel to be rather rude and dismissive, telling me he already had interest from other parties. I can only assume he already had decided on another buyer and was putting off other potential prospective buyers. I appreciate that estate Agents are working on behalf of their clients and have to ensure that all enquiries are genuine, but I felt his attitude on this occasion was unhelpful both to me and to his client. As suitable properties do not come onto the market very often, I find it very frustrating that I am prevented from even viewing one, and being given the opportunity to make an offer, if it turned out to be appropriate.
This is a reply to your response. I'm afraid I don't know how to do this, other than edit my initial post:
I was somewhat dismayed to read your response, as it bore no resemblance to our telephone conversation, or to the point in my review. It was a total misrepresentation of what was discussed.
I was also shocked that you chose to discuss my finances in a public post, particularly as it played no part in my review. This is not only completely unprofessional, but surely in breach of my right to confidentiality.
I will briefly put the record straight regarding your comments:
1. I explained that my parents’ property was ‘Sold, subject to contract’ both in my email and on the telephone. At no point did you ask for proof of this before viewing.
2. I re-assured you that we would be willing to pay the asking price, if the property was suitable. Again, at no point did you ask for proof of our finances before viewing.
3. If you told your client that we did not have the finances to buy the property, then I can understand that ‘they agree unequivocally with the decision’. However, this was untrue.
4. You stated that your protocols related to not allowing me to view on behalf of my parents, not because of Covid. In fact, Covid was never mentioned in the conversation.
5. The ONLY reason you gave for not allowing me to view the property, was that my parents were not accompanying me. Your ‘strict protocols’ didn’t allow it.
6. You talked a lot in your reply about adhering to Government Guidelines to reduce transmissions and no-one would question the need for this. But I fail to see how having 4 people to view a property as opposed to 2, would help reduce transmissions. I have not seen any Government Guidelines that state a person cannot represent their elderly parents when viewing a property.
You obviously have no intention of addressing the issue raised in my post and I have no desire to get into a war of words with you. I have addressed what I consider to be inaccuracies in your post, and that is an end to the matter as far as I’m concerned. However, would you please edit your post to remove any reference to our finances.

A very rude and abrupt individual who’s approach to a busy situation was handled with aggression and threats. We previously bought our property through Lock & Key and found the service as a buyer helpful, so when we were looking to sell our place, they seemed like an obvious choice. When Nigel came over to inspect our house, he was polite, respectful and friendly. Possibly right house, right time, but Nigel achieved our full asking price on the same day we instructed him, and before the house was put on the market. I'm fairly confident that had this not been the case that Nigel and Julie would have worked hard to ensure that not only we sold our property but we did so for a fair price for both us and the eventual buyers. For nearly 12 weeks we had our house up for sale with awell-known estate agent in Melksham. There was barely any communication and we were left feeling disappointed that nothing was happening. After many excuses of why we weren’t getting any viewings, we decided to enlist the services of Lock &Key instead. Lost out on a house as was not told the lady I need to call back was leaving early that day and they went ahead with the sale, without knowing I would have put in a higher offer. They then sent me properties that "met my criteria" (which really didn't), having a no point asked me what my criteria was.

Telephoned to enquire about a property for sale and asked why there was no internal photos, got a very arrogant response that I wouldn't want to see internal photos as the property required work. I explained that I wont view a property unless I can see photos, and the man lost his temper and shouted abuse down the phone to me. I had to put the phone down. I feel sorry for anyone trying to sell a house through this agent if this is how they treat genuine buyers like my self.
