The whole team at Mansell McTaggart have been so efficient, professional and approachable. We chose them to sell my late parents bungalow in Uckfield as we had used them before. We live 200 miles away so that was a challenge in itself. The team were all so helpful and kept us updated throughout the process, we highly recommend them!

Terrible experience, specifically with estate agent Daniel. We made an initial low offer on a property and were told by Daniel, upon making the offer that the sellers definitely wouldn’t be accepting it. We knew the initial offer was low and we had the intention of raising our offer as required to secure the property, however, we never heard back from Daniel or anyone else at mansell mctaggart. The only update we got was when we looked on zoopla and saw the house had been taken off the market. This makes me question whether Daniel ever actually submitted our offer to the seller as required. Incredibly disappointing. Would wholeheartedly not recommend. Felt shady and dishonest. From then on, in our property search we actively avoided any property listed by mansell mctaggart.

Having initially had issues due to our seller turning out to be employee of the firm we found our dream house. Trevor was honest straight up and our purchase went thru just 4 weeks later than initially estimated, under the circumstances this was always going to be a challenge but nonetheless we exchanged.

We contacted the Crowborough branch about a property we were interested in viewing - since this was the first property we had enquired about we were unsure about the rules with viewing properties and wanted to see what the process was. We were initially told we couldn't view the property unless our property was under offer due to the Covid rules.
A few days later my other half got a text to say we'd been booked in for a viewing during the week - we had already made it clear prior to this that we weren't available during week days whilst we understand the need to be flexible we can't just book off a week day giving our employers 3 days notice we both work as key workers which also hinders our availability. The estate agent then did the same again booked us in for a week day giving us less than a days notice and hadn't asked us if this date and time would be okay.
We then left it for a while and found another property we liked - my other half phoned up to enquire and spoke to the same estate agent on the phone who said because we wasn't able to do the 2 viewings prior that she couldn't proceed further with this new property?!?

Mansell McTaggart were agents for the house that we were buying. On first impressions they were like any other estate agent, however as the purchase progressed they stood apart from all the other estate agents in the chain. Our own proved simply to be good at marketing themselves; when it came to the actual process of selling the house and chasing the chain, they went AWOL and hardly communicated, when they did, they didn't know the detail. A phonecall to Trevor at Mansells meant that we'd find out the true and realistic position. At times the chain felt precarious, in fact many times, but with the help of Trevor I believe we got it over the line. A massive thank you, we absolutely LOVE our new house. Following this experience, if ever we were to move again (I can't see it happening though) we'd be straight back to Mansells to act as our estate agent for the sale. You can't beat that!
