We had our house on the market with another estate agent company for over a year with hardly any viewings and no interest.

My wife and I met Dave Edkins by chance whilst viewing a property. He offered to come and visit our house to give us an estimate and tell us how he worked. We were so impressed with his knowledge and understanding of the property market we decided to employ him.

So dave edkins was the agent for the house we are buying. And he was fantastic. Always kept me up to date and always communicating letting me know what to do or what was happening. Unfortunately the lawyers who were dealing with our case weren't very efficient on both sides. But he managed to push all the lawyers along so they were working alongside eachother and really pushed for a completion date. I,d say he even did the lawyers jobs for them telling them what needs to be done or we would have been here for another few months the way things were going.

I was very polite to the male I spoke with but he was ignorant and disrespectful in return. He refused to value my property as he believed he has no confidence it would sell. I was very confused as to why this was but then later understood it was as the property is in a deprived area therefore he believed it would not sell. The way he spoke with me was shocking. So rude and looked down on me because of where my property was based. Little did he know he was speaking to someone from a very well educated family. 0/10 would never use this service or recommend this!

We cannot recommend Dave Edkins highly enough. And reading through a few of the reviews here, we are not the only clients who think so highly of him. We knew we'd get on from our first phone conversation.
He has a great knowledge of his industry through years of experience. Communication is great, Dave works long hours, 7 days a week if necessary, and always returns calls, texts and emails promptly. He understands the stresses and frustrations of selling a house and does everything he can to smooth the process for buyers and sellers alike.
Our property went under offer at full asking price within 4 weeks of going on the market in early February. And Dave helped to get us through to completion this week, despite the lockdown and a few hiccups further down the chain. We don't think any other agent has got so many completions through at such a difficult time. Its no surprise his phone has been red hot since the lockdown on estate agents eased a few days, ago.
On top of all of this , his fees were more reasonable than any other agent that we asked. If we could give 6 stars on this review, we would.
So, when you are thinking of selling your house, make sure you include Dave as one of your agent choices for valuation and marketing advice. You'll get the same, honest, friendly, enthusiastic support from him, whether you're selling a small terraced house or a large mansion.

He works so hard, to market the property, handle calls from potential buyers (even into the late evening and whilst on holiday!), he gets the best price for you and then deals with the after sale with care and genuine enthusiasm that we have found lacking with other agents. It really matters to him if he sells your house, I get the sense it’s a pride thing but also it’s his business so it effects him on all levels. He was recommended to us by a friend and I was dubious that all agents were the same and tempted to go with an online agent but I was wrong. As a buyer I’ve seen how the online agents have no continuity, the service can be poor and anonymous with online booking and no follow up calls etc. David is a local guy with lots of experience and he will be 100% dedicated and committed to selling your house. I can’t rate the whole experience of selling through Marsh & Marsh highly enough.

Went to view a property for the second time today. David phoned me twenty minutes before our appointment time to advise previous viewers had left, fifteen minutes later we arrived at the property to find him on his phone and them still there; how unprofessional and I hate liars! He then disclosed personal information re their buying status and the vendors. This makes me wonder what he is going to tell people about us.
This was a second viewing during which time three times David said he’d “forgotten we had viewed it before/I keep forgetting you have viewed this already”.
Granted he did contact the vendors twice by phone re two queries we had re boundaries etc, but otherwise he spent our entire viewing taking phone calls and making them, to the point of we were instructed;
“Just look upstairs on your own as I have to return an important call”. He never bother to join us.
We asked if we could take a look at the grounds, he informed us to help ourselves as he had to go off and do another viewing at which point he left us at the property on our own, the vendors were out and he left the property leaving all the lights on and naked candles burning in all the downstairs room.
We have two properties to sell and to move us forward we were thinking of changing agents with one and putting the second up with Marsh and Marsh as well and we mentioned this to David.
We left feeling rather upset that all this took less than twenty minutes which David couldn’t spare. We are not professional house viewers and make this our Sunday occupation, we are seriously looking for a property and really like this one, but we won’t be moving our properties to them or pursuing ways we can go ahead with a purchase before selling our own.

David takes great pride in marketing your property to best of his ability and I was remarkably impressed with his photography equipment and ability to really do our property justice in the photos used for marketing.
We received great pieces of advice for making viewers feel comfortable whilst looking round our home, which must have worked wonders because we sold the house within the first weekend of it going on the market.
This is where you will notice the biggest difference between David and any other estate agent. He provides a very personal service, arranged viewings after hours, at the weekend and was always available via. text, email or phone calls. So much so that we were able to agree our sale on a Sunday! His commitment really is above and beyond anything you expect.
I would highly recommend David Edkins to friends, family and complete strangers as I really would not hesitate to use him again.

has been an amazing agent that has helped us sell our property, he has always been there 24/7 to answer any questions we had, or to advise us with how to improve our property to sell, we had a bad experience with another estate agent to start with and was relieved when we found Dave.(or he found us thankfully).
I would highly recommend using Dave as he is with you every step of the way, he is honest and very reliable and will even help after your sale has gone through, when and where he can. He is very easy to speak too and doesn't make you feel silly when asking those daft questions.
Dave went above and beyond for us and saved our sale he helped the buyers even when he didnt have too, that's what makes Dave different to other estate agents he takes pride and cares about the seller and the buyer and always tries to resolve both sides issues making sure your sale goes through stress free, he is amazing at what he does and cant recommend him highly enough.

COLD CALLING ! (Dont look away !) For 6 months we advertised with a major high street estate agent ,with very poor results. When we were contemplating remaining in our home we recieved a cold call knock on the door from Dave Edkins ( Marsh and Marsh)he introduced himself in a friendly and professional manner and couldnt believe we hadnt sold. The service he provided was above and beyond - he was available 7 days a week (not just within office hours, but from early morning until late in the evening), was very honest and truthful regarding the house we were selling and his valuation. Sold my property through Marsh & Marsh, I dealt with David who was fantastic, he went above and beyond to help out with any aspect of the sale, kept me updated all the time in a truly professional manner, I would use again without any hesitation, very reasonable selling costs as well. After interviewing nearly all the estate agents in Brighouse, we chose Marsh and Marsh Properties to sell our house and found them to be honest, hardworking and reliable. Always going that extra mile to keep both the vendor and the buyer informed and the sale progressing, all for a fee that I honestly felt was cheap for the outstanding service which was provided. Now, how often can one say that about a business?

Thank you Jonathan and Sam! Really excellent service throughout a purchase which became quite complex and frustrating for all concerned (not that the agents ever gave that impression). Jonathan and Sam really made a difference with their patient, warm and professional service. If the many legal niggles that developed surrounding the purchase had been left for the solicitors to iron out i doubt it would have ever completed. Marsh and Marsh were not my agents - I bought from them - but my own sale would quite likely have fallen through if not for the work they did to ensure my purchase worked out. Don't think (as I did) that estate agents just take a few photos, upload to Rightmove and wait for the money to land in their laps - there was a great deal of work done here. Highly recommended.
