Initially fantastic, couldn't do enough. As time went by, I didn't feel like a valued customer and left. Not unlike most agents really. Disappointed as my expectations had been raised. I dealt with both the Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds office.

Me & my husband moved out due to having to PCS and we’ve been trying to get in contact with Steve Taylor if we were getting our security deposit back for months!!! and he keeps ignoring our emails that we’ve been sending. Not even an email back giving us any information about it.

I have rented through various Estate agents in Newmarket and Martin and Co were by far the most polite, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Both Steve and Ellie couldn't do enough to help me when I was struggling a little to get all the documents and information together to support my Tenancy application. When I caught Covid the day before I was due to sign the contract, they were so understanding and supportive, and promptly re-arranged a later date for me to sign the paperwork, and a later date with the Landlord for me to move in. I can't thank them enough - highly recommended!

I was told rather bluntly yesterday that I would never be able to rent anywhere
with an IVA which left me feeling upset. Today I spoke to a different company who were very helpful and optimistic. I will personally never be contacting this company again! What a load of rubbish!

I can’t rate Martin & Co enough, they’ve been a pleasure! I dealt with Steve and Danielle at the Newmarket branch, Steve is a gentleman and Danielle is always friendly and easy to communicate with. They’re both very understanding, easy going and bend over backwards to help. Thanks!
As for other reviews I’ve read on here about money etc I have to say, we had a problem with our boiler. However, Steve offered to come out late at night out of work hours to drop Electric heaters off and I was compensated money for my inconvenience without complaining about the situation or even mentioning any type of compensation!

It appears my review got deleted about Sara the rude and condescending staff member, I would love to know why you have decided to delete the review? Why invite people to review your business if you just delete all the ones you don't like? Judging by other reviews on this page I'm not the only one who finds Martin co staff members condescending.

Steve Taylor, the Branch Manager in Newmarket takes advantage of immigrants. Our friends came from Czech to work with horses in Newmarket. They packed up all of their possessions in their car and have been living with us while they transition.
STEVE TAYLOR stole 280 pounds for a reference check, cannot show the copy or any proof of this reference check, then told our friends that they did not pass the check, AFTER PROMISING that they could move in an apartment in a couple days.
They came home defeated, as we all would be. My husband and I promised to help them and tell them everything will be OK. We all went back to his office across from The Shoes Pub to demand a refund. He was stern, unapologetic, arrogant and condescending. He began talking down to our friends and making them feel inferior to him! He was blaming our Czech friends for his criminal behaviour! He demanded that my friends tell him where they are moving to, when they are moving, and tried to convince them to rent his property. I told my friends, "DO NOT ANSWER HIM. HE HAS NO RIGHT TO KNOW THIS INFORMATION, HE IS BEING COMPLETELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. THIS MAN IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF IMMIGRANTS WHEN THEY ARE THE BACKBONE OF THIS COMMUNITY. HE IS STEALING MONEY AND I WILL REPORT HIM TO THE POLICE."
WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MARTIN & CO. OR WITH STEVE TAYLOR. HE ONLY CARES ABOUT HIMSELF AND WILL LEAVE YOU HIGH AND DRY FOR 280 POUNDS.

Fantastic experience, very professional. Delivered excellent customer service, responding promptly to any questions I had and done everything they said they would do. Due to how Steve and Linda conducted themselves made the relocation from west Norfolk to Cambridgeshire that whole much easier and stress free.
