Joe is the most professional Mortgage Services Consultant I have ever worked with. His dedication, knowledge, patience, and deep understanding of the market are remarkable.
Joe worked side by side with us, and in times when the Bank Rates and Mortgage conditions were uncertain, he worked really hard to find the right rates for us. He also took his time to understand our needs as customers and find the perfect Mortgage and Insurance products for us.
I would recommend to anyone working with William H brown Newmarket, and I would even recommend more working with Joe Gunn-Roberts.

I have booked time off work to view a property. I met with a an inexperienced young man. He wasn't even aware how to turn on the water in the bathroom and demonstrate shower pressure. Didn't follow through and contact me to advise my offer was rejected. (Had not opportunity to go up if I wanted)
The broker was supposed to call me to discuss mortgage options that never happened...so can't really say anything good about my experience apart from wasted holiday and 5hr in total in commute on the train going to Newmarket from London and back. To add to this amazing experience I am emailed properties outside of my price range... Also there was zero denying to the point that I wasn't contacted for 48hr since I made offer until I chased!! Has my foreign sounding email address had anything to do with this, very likely as other couple was given preference and extra time to run through their finances while I wasn't worth a text or a call to say offer too low/rejected!
Branch manager did apologize unfortunately that won't help me purchase a property within my budget. Notes made for the new joiner that I had viewing with.. splendid! I wouldn't advice on letting new joiner do viewings alone!!!

It has been the only estate agency that has actually followed up in a previous enquiry. You know when they tell you "unfortunately this property is not available anymore but we will get in touch once we find something that is suitable for you", but that never happens? Not with these guys. They actually got back to me almost a month later from my first enquiry, saying they found a property that might suit me. One of their estate agents, Alessio, called me, arranged the viewing for that same day, and he was nothing but professional and kind. We chatted about the house, he showed me everything, was also very curious on what type of home I was looking for and overall, it was just really nice speaking to him. Never felt rushed, never felt that they were not interested in what I had to say, never felt dismissed. Perfection. Definitely recommend.

Awful company. I decided not to use them, because they were so pushy at the initial valuation meeting. All they were interested in was getting the contract signed there and then. Since then, and despite being told not to, they have plagued me with cold calls and emails. The latest one today, 3 months after being told not to contact me. As an aside, their valuation was completely unrealistic - way too high - in an attempt to con me into going with them. Their behaviour is the reason that estate agents have a bad name. Do not let them into your home.

When my partner and I purchased our first home just over three months ago, Joseph Overhill from the William H Brown Newmarket office acted as our Mortgage Services Consultant, and we have only good things to say about him.
We were initially introduced to Joe because we needed to have our finances looked over before viewing a property in Newmarket (to ensure we weren't time wasters). We already had a mortgage broker at the time, but after talking to Joe for 45 minutes, we knew we'd be far better off with him.
We ended up purchasing a property about an hour from Newmarket, but this wasn't an issue for Joe. He walked us through the entire process, and answered every first-timer question we had. He was friendly, efficient, professional, and always filled us with confidence.
We were also blown away by his responsiveness. There were several occasions when I emailed Joe saying something along the lines of "...could we discuss X at some point over the next few days?", and within 10 minutes he'd be on the phone answering our queries. Incredible service!
We're very grateful to Joe for helping to make the process of purchasing our first home so easy, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone seeking mortgage advice/services. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him!

Knowledgeable about the property we looked at, enthusiastic, mannerly and has an actual understanding and compassion of how the purchasers/viewers feel. Called several times on a property to be told it needed some work (although still listed on Zoopla). Promised they would call me back when work completed only to find out today property was relisted on Tuesday, 6 days ago (property was never taken off Zoopla) and that an offer had already been taken????. Estate Agent apologized as she THOUGHT everyone had been called back????
Shame on you!!! Very unprofessional with no care or thought for hard working customers with urgent housing needs.

I had such a great experience with William H Brown because of Sue’s professional and help. I originally met Sue who showed me around a flat. Unfortunately I took a little too long to get my app in and didn’t get it. Luckily Sue saved the day! I had told her what I was looking for and my price range etc and she contacted me a week later with the perfect flat AND happened to be the same building. Sue is the kind of person every one of us expects to get when it comes to customer service- professional, caring, understanding, massively taking initiative and she knows her market and local area properties extremely well. Not only that, but Sue checked in on me through the process which was way over and a above her call of duty. Moving is never fun but Sue made it the best experience it could have been. Very much appreciated!

We received excellent service right from the initial telephone call to the office when Hannah answered the phone in a prompt and friendly manner and was able to answer our initial queries and arrange for someone to call us back. We were called back promptly and a viewing was arranged that day. The agent, Patricia, was at the property waiting for us with the keys, had good knowledge of the property and showed us round. We submitted an offer for the full asking price which was accepted the same day and the memorandum of sale was produced & posted quickly which was complete and with no errors.
Patricia continued to provide excellent service during the entire process. She always acted in a straightforward way, displayed good knowledge of the property and conveyancing process and regularly monitored progress with the sale. We kept in regular contact and Patricia always knew the stage reached. What really sets her apart is her ability to anticipate queries or problems and deal with them promptly and professionally.
Would highly recommend Patricia and Hannah and would be very happy to purchase a property through William H Brown again

The WORST estate agents we've EVER come across. They had absolutely zero knowledge on the property we were interested in. When specific areas of concern came to light they denied all knowledge. They consistently lied and avoided our calls! You know you're working with terrible agents when your own solicitors says that they're the worst company that they've ever had to work alongside come across.
ADVICE to anyone looking to use this company - DON'T ! They're are some amazing estate agents out there but this company ISN'T one of them!
We will avoid these guys at all costs and will advice any friends to do so too.

We went first with a local estate agent from Burwell as we could see their orange signs everywhere in the village. We had barely a handful of visits in 9 weeks despite cut price and being below market price. It was nearly impossible to contact them, the local office is almost never manpowered. We had no offer with them.
A colleague who was in the business before advise me to go with a national and proactive estate agent. I went with William H Brown in Newmarket and their premium service as they contacted me when cut the price with the previous estate agent. William H Brown photos were so much better quality than my previous estate agent and the description a lot better.
William H Brown sold my house at the asking price on the second day of being live.
Chris and Patricia were always there and great. A big thank you to them.
Shame i didn't start from the beginning with William H Brown!!!

Good staff and never had an issue through out my tenancy- but unfortunately got screwed over when it came to my security deposit being returned. Pretty upset because I paid for a house cleaner and a ridiculous amount of money was taken for a cleaner and to fill up the oil tank which only needed about 300liters. They took nearly 400£ for oil and 136£ to clean a small 2 bed 1 bath bungalow that had already been professionally cleaned. Very disappointed.
