This letting agent are apalling. You try and call to register a problem/invitation for an inspection, you get greeted with an answering service who claims to take your message to pass on, however they must be sent by carrier pigeon as you never hear back if you hear from them they aren't very helpful. Don't waste your time or money.

I had contacted Martin &Co regarding booking an apartment in Ipswich. As I was not in Ipswich and stayed in a different city all the communication was through phonecalls and was proofed by emails. I didn't have any difficulty from viewing the property to getting the keys of my apartment as the staff (Simon) was really precise and clear about each steps and was transparent with his work. Martin &Co is very responsive to all my queries till date and no doubt they are doing their job at its best. Highly recommend!!

Being experienced in property management but novices in the tenant search and letting process we appointed Martin & Co in Ipswich to undertake that part of our lettings.
They instantly grasped the markets suitable for each of our properties and marketed them perfectly to attract the ideal prospective tenant respectively.
Following strict vetting and credit checks Martin & Co found tenants for both our flats that we felt extremely comfortable renting to in super quick time.
The service was slick, professional yet friendly throughout the entire process and we won't hesitate to use their services again down the line.

Very Helpful and Professional Team at Martin & Co.!
Rented a property through Martin and Co. in September. Was very pleased with their service and professionalism because my situation was a bit complicated : I'm a retiree who has lived abroad for 12 years, so I don't have a recent credit history in the UK and don't have landlord/ estate agent to act as a referee.
On the day of viewing, Gary and Luke met me at the property with the landlord. I explained my difficulties and they really impressed me with their experience and knowledge ! They explained in detail about the renting procedures, told me what documents they would need etc. and assured me that there should be no problem if I was able to provide those. I said I had to take some time to think about it, and in the meantime I viewed other properties with other companies, who, in contrast, became very unenthusiastic once they heard about my situation and replied most of my questions with "please just fill in the application form if you're interested". In a couple of days, I got a follow-up call from Martin & Co., asking about what I thought about the property, and whether I'd like to apply etc. So I decided to go ahead with it. And from then on, everything went smoothly. The team was always friendly, my questions were answered satisfactorily, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Considering it's an overseas relocation, and I managed to move in within 9 days of viewing the property! After moving in for a month, I got a call from Luke just checking on me to make sure everything's ok. I'm really pleased with their service. Highly recommended !

Martin and Co lied to me and my partner to get us to move into the house. I then sent a complaint email to Martin and Co which was completely ignored and I am still waiting for a response after a month. They tend to say something and commit to things that they don't have intentions on following up and conviniently forget they ever made promises. Me and my partner are now renting a house from Martin and Co but they destroyed all the excitement of moving in together and made it incredibly stressful.

I've had a mostly great experience with Martin & Co. The process of moving and renting was entirely new to me but with their friendly staff and guidance, it was pain free and easy to figure out.
They explained every detail clearly and transparently, making me feel at ease. They also have great a customer service with quick replies via email and are easily contactable by phone.
Overall, I would recommend Martin & Co, they do what they say on the tin and with a smile!

Before I needed to arrange a Managing Agent in early 2017, I completed my due diligence by looking at reviews for many Agents in and around. I decided upon Martin & Co.
I have now had a Property with Martin & Co for over a year now and are now on our second tenants after unfortunate problems with the first tenants. The fees which included Insurance protection, etc were invaluable [I would strongly recommend taking this cover ] Martin & Co took the lead on this, applied for the insurance rent monies, etc and arranged for the end of tenancy. This was stressful but they did everything to put me at ease.
New tenants were eventually sourced with few, if any, problems.
I would recommend Martin and Co as they are very professional and always kept me updated at all times with the position.

Martin & Co have been managing my properties for several years and their service has been exceptional. They deal with my tenants on a timely basis and are always able to sort out any issues raised with the minimum of fuss and in a professional manner.
I always feel that staff are available to deal with any of my questions at a moments notice and nothing is too much trouble.
Regrettably the property rental sector is subject to an increasing tide of regulatory and tax legislation however their service ensures that I am able to relax knowing that my properties are fully compliant.
I have no hesitation in recommending Martin & Co to any prospective tenants or landlords.

First contacted Martin and Co whilst searching for a place to rent. My main contact was and still is Poppy.
Extremely friendly and professional and took me through the whole process with ease. Explained everything I needed to know. They contacted all the relevant people, from referencing (which was simple to complete) water, electricity and council tax. Even now I have moved in I received a follow up call to enquire if I was OK and did I have any problems. Also given the assurance that they are there for me should I need them in the future. So pleased with the service I've received from the whole of the team here. Renting through Martin & Co has been a pleasure so far, they use a third party for the inventory at both the start and finish of your tenancy so there is no worry of the usual deductions from your deposit due to something ridiculous like I had with JSM/Goddard a few years ago. The communication has been fantastic throughout and although they maybe one of the more expensive agents 'all-in' so far I think they are definitely worth it!

We have found Martin & Co to be completely professional in their service to us. Good advice was given to us prior to letting to enable the property to be shown to its best advantage and suitable tenants were found very quickly. Communication is a very strong point and everything is followed up and confirmed in writing. Its probably not the cheapest Agency in town but we do have complete confidence in them and peace of mind!

I have found Martin and Co. communicative and professional as letting agents. It is often very problematic as to why a certain property lets immediately and a very similar one sticks for a while. Our property was all but let fairly quickly but the prospective tenant had to withdraw for personal reasons. I believe that Martin and Co. are doing all that can be realistically done at the moment to re-let the property; viewings are currently in hand and we hope to have a new tenant soon. Only time can realistically inform with respect to long term performance.

Martin and Co have provided an exceptional service to date.
Their communication in terms of advising us of viewings and subsequent offers on our property has been excellent. They marketed the property very well. With a great advertising campaign, which lead to a significant number of viewings and a good level of offers on the property. When it came to choosing our tennants, their staff were knowledgeable in supporting us as we made the right decision in choosing a long term tennancy with a family.
As this was our first BTL purchase it was really good to have someone explain the whole referencing process to us so we understood the procedure. The paperwork side of things was very simple and we were guided through each step clearly. We chose to have the property fully managed which is great as we just receive notification advising us if there is a maintenance job required at the property and the staff at the branch organise contractors to complete the work, keeping us in the loop all the time.
The staff have been professional, friendly and we have chosen to go back to them again to enlist their help for our second BTL which we have just bought as we were so impressed with their service.
