Maxwell Estates/DO NOT TRUST THIS AGENCY !
I am a first time buyer my experienced with Noman Iqbal was very bad ! He Came across as a very dishonest and a misleading estate agent the property involved is 36a, Vancouver Road, Edgware its more then a year on the market and its 82 leasehold years and not 83 warning the freeholder cannot be found !
Noman reassured me that its going to be very easy to extend the leasehold but the realty was the free holder is no where to be found and I did spend a considerable amount of money on the survey and the lawyer watch out anything he says check and do not trust him !
If you do have any problem with this dodgy agency report them to the property ombudsman

You weren’t clear and honest with your information I knew that the bank who repossessed the property has nothing to do with the free holder but from the beginning I made it very clear that I won’t make an offer if I cannot be able to extend the lease ! You reassured me that extending the lease is not problem you knew that the free holder cannot be found and I got a witness from the viewing who heard you giving us a misleading information ! I stated from the first viewing that I won’t proceed if I cannot extend the lease you assured me that mrs Patel who owned the flat upstairs extended her lease as you stated at the time that your agency is in charge of renting the flat for her but that was a lie ! you also stated that it shouldn’t be a problem to extend the lease hold as mrs Pattel did but there wasn't any mrs Patel it was a different person who owned the upstairs flat ! and he told me that he doesnt use your agency to rent his flat ! and all this time you knew this information but you never told us .also in regard to my lawyer we believed that it shouldn’t be a problem to find the free holder based on your misleading information that how easy it should be. But When we found out that the free holder is absent and the person who owns the flat upstairs couldn’t find him for the last 8 years
Based on your dishonest information we pulled out not to mention our valuable time consuming and the big expenses that I had pay for the survey and the lawyer fees based on your
dishonest and a misleading information
Note :you still advertised the property with out notifying that the free holder is no where to be found
I’m forwarding my complaint to the property ombudsman !
