We rented our amazing flat via Mayfords, it was probably the easiest and smoothest rental procedure myself and my flatmates went through. We had the lovely Paul as our agent who was constantly there to answer all of our questions, and he assured that we get the best service, and also Moses who was so involved that we are happy with the property we decided to go for. Quite a unique service I would say. Would I recommend? Already have!

Hello, I have been living in my apartment for about 4 months. During the first two months of my tenancy the bed was broken and the mattress had a stain of pee in my room from the previous tenants. Despite constant emails to change it and remove it it took them 2 MONTHS to do so. When they replaced the bed and the mattress they did not take away the old broken bed and the peed mattress and they told us they will arrange to remove it. The old bed and mattress were in the living room area for over 2 weeks blocking all our furniture and making our living room extremely small. Furthermore, half of the furniture is broken and some others need replacement since the beginning of our tenancy. They still haven't fixed them or replaced any of them. The fan in the bathroom is not working either since the beginning of our tenancy. The hob in the kitchen had been doing a static sound from the beginning and 1 month ago it stopped working completely. For over a month I have been unable to cook and they still haven't addressed this issue. They are completely unprofessional. One day we had agreed for the engineer to visit and they did not show up with ANY notice. I was in the flat for the whole day for the engineer to not even let me know that they will not come. They only apologised about it 3 days later without a valid excuse. It is unbelievable that I have already paid 6 months upfront and they ask for the rest 6 months in a couple of weeks. I am so disappointed and I would definitely recommend to NOT go through them for your own mental well being. I am trying so hard to ask for a compensation for the 4 months that the flat is not functioning and the furniture is broken but they completely avoid or ignore me. If you are from Mayfords Estate Agents and read this review, you should be embarrassed.

As the representative for a small block of flats, I can say that my experience of dealing with Mayfords as a Managing Agent has been refreshingly positive, from the moment Aarti Varma assumed responsibility for managing our block.
What has been particularly impressive is the way Aarti has taken the time to want to know about the history of our block and associated issues, making regular on site visits and taking photos, seeking my input and also inviting me to Mayford's office to catch up and update me on block matters - all of which in turn has made it easier to resolve some of our long standing issues.
I was also impressed with Aarti's well delivered Powerpoint presentation at the recent AGM, held in nice, off site, office premises. The presentation was well set out, including photographic illustrations, and objectively showed how our Block has evolved over the past year, and the part Mayfords, specifically Aarti, has played in helping tackle and resolve issues.
There are some issues which remain a working progress, however with Aarti's strong leadership, I am positive we can reach resolution.
On the basis of my own lived experience of dealing with Aarti, I strongly recommend Mayfords as a Managing Agent.

Mayfords claim to represent landlords, but it's a lie. The service I've received from them is absolutely appalling. Since December 2023, I have reported a leak from the roof, which has caused a hole in my ceiling. It is now the 29th of June 2024, and they have done absolutely nothing to fix it. They are completely unprofessional and inefficient. I'm talking about Reuben Charles and a certain Christine.They probably spend more time browsing Facebook or on OnlyFans rather than fixing problems around the estate, which is an absolute disaster. Everything is falling apart: the communal door doesn't close, the walls are a disgusting yellow color, the carpet is filthy, and the communal bins are uncovered, giving foxes free access. Every morning, we have to step over a pile of garbage with our kids to exit the estate. Landlords, stay away from Mayfords. They will rip you off. You won't get anything back, and they will surely take your money.

I have never left a negative review for an estate agent before, but I feel compelled to warn others of my terrible experience as a tenant with Mayfords. Mayfords are the most unprofessional agency I have ever dealt with. A week after moving into the property, I reported a leaking window, damp, and black mould in my bedroom. It took Mayfords almost 12 months to finally resolve the issue, during which time I was left to deal with the worsening situation by myself at great personal expense and cost to my health and wellbeing (I had several chest infections in 2023 from constant exposure to damp and black mould). The landlord made several attempts to attribute blame to ‘tenant lifestyle factors’ which Mayfords supported; I was advised by Mayfords to open the bedroom windows more (in January and February, with temperatures below zero) and to be mindful of how much humidity I was creating by cooking and doing laundry. When they finally accepted responsibility to fix the leaking window, Mayfords repeatedly contracted unreliable and unprofessional engineers who delivered poor quality work and often arrived without prior knowledge or appropriate equipment to address the issues they were supposed to fix. On one occasion, a contractor asked me to pay him and did not know who Mayfords were (I later discovered he was a sub-contractor). On another occasion, a contractor told me that the work delivered by a previous contractor had actually made the situation worse. I had over 10 different contractors visit the property in less than a year, all trying to resolve the same worsening issue. Communication from Mayfords was horrendously poor - I had to chase for updates repeatedly, and sometimes waited several weeks or longer for a reply. I felt totally unsupported and completely exhausted by the trying to resolve the issue. The windows and damp plaster were eventually replaced in December 2023 (I moved into the flat in January 2023). At the end of the tenancy, Mayfords also attempted to support the landlord’s claim for deductions to be made based on the poor quality of the work delivered by contractors that Mayfords had hired (eg. poor quality bathroom sealing that was arranged and delivered by Mayfords). I appreciate one individual at Mayfords who tried to help me and demonstrated at least some empathy, but overall I feel that Mayfords lacks any basic respect for their tenants’ time, wellbeing, and quality of life. I really regret renting through Mayfords - my experience with them had a huge negative impact on my quality of life over the 15 months I lived in the property. My experience impacted my health, my wellbeing, and my work, and I really wish that I had been warned against renting through Mayfords (hence why I felt it important to leave this review). I would advise Mayfords to drastically reconsider their approach to supporting tenants. In the meantime, I would strongly advise tenants to avoid renting through this agency.

It is rare to be taken seriously from some managing agents and I was very pleased with Aartis service! Mayfords service is beyond ridiculous. Moses from sales and letting called to threat and interrogate over whether I wrote a review about them. He was talking non sense, intimidating and asked if I was recording him on the call. It is actually laughable. His behaviour is insulting and harassing.
It looks like he's calling all lease holders all morning to find out who wrote a bad review about them, this is not what we pay service charges for.
Mayfords has done an appalling job since they took over from rendall and rittner, who was amazing with the block management. Mayfords team is always rude, unprofessional & incompetent managing our block, it is highly unacceptable.
Mose's call actually inspired me to write a review, so everyone is made aware of this estate agency's unacceptable behaviour.

5 stars for Mayfords Estate Agents!! Particularly Moses who recently sold my apartment. Moses is highly professional, patient and courteous. He is someone who has integrity which is a rare gem to find. I trust Moses to be a person to have your best interest at heart and to go the extra mile, as he has proven this time and time again. He gave me sound advice on many occasions.

Never recommend to deal with this agency! They lie and take no responsibility for any of the things what going on with your flat. Fixing heating took them 2 weeks, moving unwanted furniture out has been taking more than 2 months, letting tenants live like in a storage. All the pictures showed about flat where completely different from reality - furniture was ruined, fireplace not working, problems with electricity and heating. No client support after signing a contract whatsoever. I have never had such a bad experience in renting a property in London.

My wife and I have been renting through Mayfords Estate Agent for almost six years and we have been very happy with the service they have given. The property we lived in was an old property and therefore there were issues that came up from time to time. Mayfords always responded quickly and carried out repairs/refurbishments effectively and organised tradespeople to attend the property as soon as possible.
Communication with them on a variety of issues was always easy whether through email or phone calls and staff were always polite and helpful. We would like to warmly recommend Mayfords Estate Agents to any prospective tenants.

Tenants DO NOT trust these agents, we have been with them nearly 10 years. Every time something went wrong, begging and crying please get this done all the time very annoying - it took a long time to sort things out. Their contractors are incompetent useless people, cheap labour without knowledge, so most of the time it was me carrying out repairs. Since a woman "agent"called Agata Piatnek started working with them things got even worse. Try to avoid her. She reserves the right to choose a rude tone of her voice on the phone not only ones and to send threatening emails when serving notice to us and about the end of tenancy looking at financial aspects.

We have to move now because personal needs but it was an amazing time living in one of their properties in Isle of dogs. I was in contact with Judit, and from the first day she was quick to respond and was extremely courteous. She has always made sure to explain to me exactly what the next steps will be, and answer any concerns I had. I definitely felt really supported by her and honestly the entire process was absolutely stress-free! Plus Judit is just a really lovely person, very understanding and a pleasure to work with.
So to anyone who's looking for a flat in London, please don't hesitate to rent through Mayfords, I can't recommend them highly enough :)

It’s been almost 10years now since I have been with Mayfords Estate Agents and not for one day have they disappointed me in terms of keeping their obligations as my landlord.Their services are top standard and the rent,very affordable without unnecessary increments like other estate agents.
Every year,they do the necessary inspections to ensure stuffs like gas,electricity,smoke alarms and other fixtures are in good order replacing or repairing any faulty item without any delay.
The staff and management are very kind,always keen and ready to help.Their response to emergencies is quite commendable and I really applaud Agata Piatek,the property manager for her managerial skills.
I have never had cause to fault them in anyway hence I will gladly recommend them to anyone who would want to rent or buy a property in London or better still if you are looking for a property management company,look no further as Mayfords it is!!

Special mention goes to Agata Piatek, who is our property manager. I haven't come across such an amazing, prompt and understanding approach towards property manager. We always felt properly and aptly looked after so big shout out to Agata.
Thank you for making our stay such a great experience and it's a shame we have to relocate. I look forward to continued cooperation and support through the entire check-out process.

Mayfords have been tremendous agency so far. I just recently connected with Daniella Goble and Agatha who made my move to my new apartment so much easier. They are absolutely wonderful people to interact with and were very helpful in my onboarding process ! I couldn’t have asked for a brilliant start.. thanks to both these ladies ! Sherene Changoo from Mayfords has been responsible for looking after all aspects of block management for the last year including liaising with solicitors on the freehold purchase. She has worked extremely hard to meet the numerous demands required of this post. I am happy to recommend Mayfords as block managing agents.

As a landlord, Mayford provide us with a block property management service. We have a number of properties in and around London with experience of different Property Management companies and I can genuinely recommend Mayfords for being professional, responsive, courteous and very efficient. They are also competitively priced. As one of a number Leaseholders of the block I think I can also speak for the other Leaseholders. Keep up the good service|

If you are a tenant: do not trust this agent. They let me a property patched together from the start. Then at the end of the tenancy tried to make me pay to fix up the place. If you are with them make sure you ONLY E-mail problems so you have a track record of the 'when' and 'what' should you also have issue getting your deposit back. This is what I did and the result was i could prove their incompetence to the adjudicator so in the end from the £1000 they claim to replace worn items with new they only got about £100 of which £80 I had to pay for the check out inventory; it took 4 months after the tenancy's end to sort out but worth it to stop this cheating agent. Do not trust these guys: they lie; make promises and do not delivery on them.
