I first met McKinlays (Taunton office) when I viewed a property being marketed by them in Illminster. I explained to Nick that I was selling my leasehold flat near Taunton, and he was quick to recommend their services, owing to their success in selling other flats in my area.
From the first visit by Victoria to assess my needs regarding my sale, and going forward, finding a suitable property, I found her extremely empathic, patient, and professional, with a thoroughly pleasant and confidence inspiring manner.
After only a brief amount of time marketing my flat, their agency generated more viewings in two months, than I had experienced in a year, previously, with a Wellington based estate agent. This was, in essence, down to Victoria’s design of my sales listing , with excellent photographs.
I had the misfortune of encountering a far less professional and efficient service by my buyers solicitor, who was severely testing my own solicitors patience, and Victoria was amazing in helping to unclog seemingly unnecessary and inefficient legal delays, and keeping me informed.
I would highly recommend McKinlays, based on my personal experience, for their tenacity and focus in selling my leasehold flat. I only met and spoke with Nick a few times, but I dealt with Victoria most of the time, and I am indebted to her for looking after me so well.

Nick and has team have sold 3 properties for us in the last year. I haven't sold a house for 20 years, it's just circumstances. He was recommended by my daughter who had taken some property photos for them. I would describe Nick's style as friendly professionalism. He is very approachable and willing to give advice. He first sold an apartment for us and dealt with the setbacks very well, quickly finding new buyers when two backed out. They then sold a 4 bedroom detached in Trull for us. There was a problem with a shared drive but Nick's advice was invaluable and again led us to a buyer who was not concerned about it. Soon after we decided to put our own house up for sale which was a grade 2 listed property in one of the best roads in Taunton. We had quotes from other estate agents including the 'posh' ones who normally sell houses in our road but decided to go with McKinlays as, due to the fact most people just use Rightmove these days, what's most important is professionalism and Nick has this and has experience of these properties in the past. He also knew we needed to find a buyer who was willing to accept the lifestyle of owning a grade 2 listed house with it's responsibilities. Again, we had some problems that were quite stressful for us but Nick calmed our fears and it went through ok in the end. Thank you Nick and your team. You were a great find for us. I should also say that McKinlays were very good value.

We have been both landlords letting through Mckinlays in Taunton for nearly 3years and have now sold our house through them. We have just sold a house through McKinlays, Taunton. Over the years we have bought and sold several houses, in Taunton and elsewhere. I can honestly say that McKinlays have been the most efficient and professional of all that we have dealt with. Within a matter of hours of meeting with us Nick had our house on the market and advertised on relevant sites, he was proactive in identifying potential buyers and we were kept up to date with every development. We received constructive advice about a range of issues and within about 10 days had an offer we were pleased with. Nick was great at communicating with all parties and keeping things moving and the sale was completed within a few weeks. I would never again go to one of the bigger chains - the personal attention we received from Nick and his team was second to none.
