Would leave 0 if I could. Terrible customer service, especially from Sophie. Viewed a property, was the first to view, first to put in the offer. Declined for reasons I still do not fully understand. House came back on the market, and, rather than asking if I was still interested or if my circumstances have changed, I was just shouted at down the phone for really wanting the property. Do not buy from this estate agents!!!

Sophie(Mortimers sale agent) was so much of great help. She patiently showed us our first property for rent which had a great location and perfect room numbers but had a great minus as to the number of toilets facilities it had. Had a chat with Sophie who made suggestions of another property though distance will not be our plus but encouraged us to have a look at it because she was of the view it will be what we will looking for. And truly upon visiting the property we loved it, though the distance but we told ourselves we can't have it all!! She basically was there for us throughout the whole processes which we were so grateful for. She really is an exceptionally excellent sales lady who goes all out for her clientals as well as the company she works for. Always ready to be of service and there to answer all your queries. Great Estate Agent to work with. Give them a go!!!

I moved to Aylesbury 5 and a half years ago and found an amazing house through Mortimers to rent. From viewing, to getting accepted was a breeze. As a single person moving to a new town, this really helped with the challenges of moving. Check in took no time at all either. Since then, other than the usual 6 monthly inspections and occasional boiler/gas service, I've been left peacefully to get on and live my life without interuption. Any issues (only 1!) Mortimers and the landlord were straight on it and I can not fault how quick they were to resolve the issue and work around my working life so that I had minimal disruption and everything was resolved as quickly as possible.
They have been friendly yet so professional, but a pleasure to deal with. It's always great to chat to the team on the phone too!
When it came to move out, they were there to support me to ensure I got my full deposit back and the entire process was again so easy as well as being kept in the loop every step of the way!
This took a huge amount of pressure off when the stress of moving is on!
I can honestly recommend the Mortimers team as a professional, yet fun and friendly team to deal with who will always be there to look after you when you rent through them.

Smooth checkout process, i would however recommend some diversity training for the team. Even though well meaning, communications sometimes did come across as insensitive. Letting agencies have a responsibility towards both the landlords and the tenants and we do feel however they favor the landlords a bit more rather than having a balanced approach.

In my experience if you value good customer service, avoid Mortimers. After being a loyal client of many years, they hiked up the price of my fees by 60% with no real justification, just poor excuses and a strong sense of contempt in the email exchange regarding this issue. Their communication and ability to listen and understand my concerns fell well below what is expected. I feel upset and very let down.
Reflecting on the past few years, the customer service drastically went down hill when Claire Lloyd properties took over in 2019. I strongly advise any landlord to avoid.

Recently had the pleasure of interacting with Nicola at Mortimers. I've just recently relocated to the Oxfordshire area for a job, and was struggling to find accommodation due to have a pet.
Nicola was very honest about the difficulties involved, but said she would do what she could to place us within one of Mortimers properties. She told me that Mortimers never advise their landlords to reject based on an animal but on the renters attributes which was great to hear. Nicola eventually found me two, immaculate properties that fit our criteria.
I would highly recommend Nicola and Mortimers if you want an honest and very straight forward interaction with a lettings agent.

Jonathan Mortimer was the first estate agent to contact me after making an initial valuation enquiry for my late father's property. I found Jonathan to be very professional and knowledgeable about the local area. He talked through all the options and agreed a valuation. I was also waiting for probate to be approved for my late father's property and Jonathan was very patient and understanding during this time of personal grief and emotional turn moil. Once probate was finally confirmed, Jonathan kept in contact with me throughout and the very same day as a market day for viewings, an offer was made which I accepted. I was so grateful for this speedy turnaround, having had to wait for over 6 months to organise my late father's estate. Has been a nightmare since I rent a house here.
The letting manager is rude and ironic. Every time they go to my home to do an inspection which is every 2 months they actually acting like a police detectives and treated us like criminals.
I feel myself really bad with that situation.
I done a required with a problem on shower that it was replied after 6 months, basically saying they cannot fix the problem.
Think twice if you are thinking to rent a house with that people.

My husband and I have just sold our house through Mortimers in Aylesbury and cannot recommend them more highly. The service we received was second to none, they were professional courteous and always had their clients interest first. We dealt mainly with Gary, but when ever we had to call the office everyone was extremely helpful. We previously had our house for sale with a with a different estate agent but they were not helpful or very proactive in trying to sell our house so decided to change. Asking Mortimers to take over was the best thing we did and sold it within the week. They took control and kept us informed, through out the process. Anyone reading this to get an idea on who to use to sell their house, Mortimers of Aylesbury is one of the best.
I do not usually give full marks, as feel most services can improve but Mortimers I gladly give 5stars.
