Hugo was brilliant from start to finish, and found the perfect tenant for me. He worked closely with me to accommodate my circumstances, understood exactly what I required tenant-wise, and had people lined up to view my house without ever having to advertise it. We recently purchased our latest home through Hugo and Moulton Haus, during the search for out next home we dealt with a number of people and estate agents and by far Hugo and the team at Moulton Haus were the best we dealt with. The team were always professional and knowledgeable, they really were simply better than anyone else we dealt with, their approach felt personalised and tailored and we felt at ease. So much of moving house is stressful and it was great to have someone who was always dependable, contactable and professional. It is no coincidence that Moulton Haus very quickly found me the perfect tenant, who has stayed for over 3 years. During the letting process, they were extremely professional in ensuring that all the legal requirements were met and ensuring all measures were taken to protect me, my property and the tenant. Since then they have continued to offer a professional yet personable service, with swift replies and actions. Moutlon Haus acted as the letting agent for a property of mine in Painswick between February 2020 and August 2020. There are two elements of the service that I would deem as excellent but I would highlight they are both outsourced and not actually conducted by Moulton Haus. Firstly, the standard of photos produced are exceptional. Secondly, the level detail in the inventory is possibly the best I have seen. From a lettings perspective, this is where the positives end. During the 6 month period, the team failed to proactively produce rent statements. I believe 4 out of 6 months I had to chase and sometimes this was more than once. I found the team particularly difficult to contact over the phone. There was one occasion when I wanted to discuss something and I rang 7 times over a 3 day period, each time it rang out. It very much felt like the monthly management fee for the property was deemed not worth the hassle. During the tenancy there was a problem with the front door lock and the team authorised a £200 repair. The lock replacement lock retails around £8 so I would deem the labour costs on this 20 minute job extortionate. When questioned, the response word for word, "its not my job to run it cost effectively". This line alone inspired me to write this review so other landlords can be made aware. I completely agree that the tennant has to come first in all situations but it is very much the job of a management agent to ensure the landlord gets good value.... Read more

Wow, where to start. What an amazing experience from start to finish! Hugo spent time at our property making sure he knew it inside and out before we even agreed to sell it with him. He is extremely professional, friendly and efficient – he got us on the market in less than a week!!! We can't thank him enough for everything he did for us. Once we accepted our first offer (just a week after listing, due to amazing photographs from Hugo and his team, and a perfect and accurate listing) we were handed over to Rozy in the Nailsworth office, and we could not have asked for more. She went above and beyond her job role for us. Impeccable communication, professionalism, friendly and so easy-to-talk to that I felt like I was talking to a best friend who was helping me move, not an estate agent. Hugo and the team at Mouton Haus managed both the rental and then subsequent sale of my house and the level of service received is well beyond what I have experienced with other estate/letting agents. During the rental period, the property, tenant and process was managed impeccably without issue and when it came to the sale they took all of the pain associated with a house sale away and the whole process was wrapped up incredibly quickly; from advertising through to agreed sale and then after service.
